I have meant to watch this series since it was aired back in 2011. But since the casts didn't catch my attention, I always put it aside. Going through my stuff, I finally have some time to watch this.

Story
A detective story has been made many times in Jdrama. Honestly, there aren't anything ground breaking about this series. It something that have been repeated in many Jdrama before. Though the cases are different, in the end the drama will promote the importance of family value in each case. Don't expect to find something spectacular in the cases.

Characters/Actors
Kamikawa Takaya played the character of Itomura Satoshi, a detective in charge of personal effects. His character is quite selfish in sense of he do whatever he wants, but he not looking down on others. Though what he done is for greater good, honestly, his character get on my nerve sometimes.

Then we have Kanjiya Shihori acted as Oda Miyuki, a rookies detective that are not highly appreciated by her team members. It probably due to the fact she is a woman. Through out the drama, we are able to see her character growth a bit from timid rookie detective to become more confident at the end. This type of character is nothing new to Jdrama.

Namioka Kazuki as Yokoyama Keiichi and Komoto Masahiro as Muraki Shigeru. These two supporting characters will interact the most with main character Itomura. Their conversations with Itomura are mostly funny. Being Scientific Criminal Unit officer, Yokoyama always do menial job for Itomura while Muraki, Crime Lab HOD always being exploited by Itamura to conduct research on his behalf. However, I can't stop thinking poor thing, these guys always been taken advantage by Itamura.

Mizuno Maki acted as Etou Natsuko, a mysterious woman working in Japan acoustic lab. Though she only appeared in 4 episodes, her character does has important role in season 1 main story. She did a good job acting her character, however, I would like her character to have more mysterious vibe.

Then we have these actors Osugi Ren, Hotaru Yukijiro & Sano Shiro that are always typecast as stuck up boss/senior officers

Music
The opening is just a simple instrumental opening. It is dramatic but too short for me to enjoy it. The ending is sung by Misia. Im not sure what the song is called (So lazy to find it). It is a nice ballad. Has a lot of emotion and sadness.

Re watch
Honestly, I wouldn't re watch season 1. I even struggle to finish the whole series. The first episode failed to excited me. I was waiting it to end halfway through. The second episode also gave me same feeling. So I stop giving it high expectation and watch them for the sake of finishing the series.

Overall
There is nothing new in this drama. For the sake of watching a crime drama series, this will do but not much excitement will come from it. Some people might find the characters quite grating on your nerve. Also not much development on the characters.
