Check the tags!!!!!!

I think this was a recommendation from Anne. I've just finished watching it. I should have seen the tags beforehand though. It got really uncomfortable at several points. So, do check the tags before going in folks.

Now, let's come to the story, acting and direction part.
Story is ok, typical Sokor fighting crime movie. I liked as it somehow tried to spread some awareness but would have liked it more if they had delved a little deeper into the mission.
Acting is good, from everyone. The movie is a little short to actually go for some character depth, so it lacked in that department. But that's ok.
Direction is average. Saying this because I've seen better action choreography and Korean movies excells in it.
Overall, it's a 7.5 for me. This can't be placed into a 'light watch' nor 'heavy watch'. And that's the dilemma for me.

Now, I don't want to comment on Sokor law enforcement. If I start, I will probably lose track of time. But if a police-law-prison system can't break/rectify a criminal within sentenced period of prison time, that's just total failure. And there should be only one punishment for child sex offenders, hanged till death. I can't comprehend how such a heinous criminal gets 20 years of prison time and still comes out as such trash. Total failure of prison system.

Just another J-drama romanticizing cheating.

FL - 7 relationships in 25 years of age, multiple partners cheated on her doing two timing and making the other women pregnant. She's truly a great judge of character!! But it's not a surprise from her being so eager to get into relationships.

ML - scapegoat of writer

Unmarried friend of FL - an Idiot who will choose a Fu*k boy over a nice man just for the looks, the F boy sleeps with a married woman and makes her pregnant, the married woman is the senior friend of FL and this unmarried friend of FL

Married friend of FL - married woman who is adamant to have an affair with a F boy, gets pregnant then the F boy shows true color, pretends as if he wants her happiness and that's why want to leave her. She goes back to her husband proclaiming that her husband is the one for her to the viewers.

The F boy friend of ML - enough said already

The descent friend of ML - the only person who is saved from all these horrible women by the writer.

This writer and director should be banned from making any dramas or movies TBVH. It's a crime to show this crap on TV.

It's the journey that matters the most, not the destination

It's a musical which consists of 15 beautiful songs, very well written according to the scenario and witty too. It's an open end if you take it one way and it's a closer if you take it the other way. The main protagonist, an elite banker who got demoted to a village branch, acts as a catalyst to unify two separated people. He might have lost, yet he won in a way. His self-discovery of what it takes to be happy in life, makes the movie interesting.

Recommended only if you like musicals and open ending (though it's a closer for me). The journey matters most than the destination, it's that kind of movie.

It's a LA of Manga of same name.

Should have gievn a better watch if a child was killed stupidly!

I should be patting my back for my patience to complete this movie. That was such a stupid way to kill the child to motion the story. This movie will make arise lots of questions in your mind while you watch it, too many scenarios, rather say ridiculous scenarios which you'll not be able to understand like how did it happen.

First of all, a almost 7 years old boy can't drown in a buthtab which is less than knee height of an adult, nor he can get such degree of concussion from slipping and hitting his head (story implies that) that will make him unconscious.

Secondly, the deaf Korean ex-husband has a Korean passport as well as knows only Korean sign language, which implies he was brought up in Korea, he also knows to write Japanese which means he can read too, which means he understands Japanese language. And how did he learn that without knowing Japanese sign language!?????? Too many contradictory and far-fetched variables. Calm down writer!!

Thirdly, the ex-husband has a 20+ (exact age uncertain) years old son with his first wife who is getting married, the second wife (Japanese) didn't know about it, though she married and had a child with him (could make another movie about how they met, fell in love etc lol, it will be a age gap romance and most probably more interesting than this one).

I had many other things to say about the present husband, his ex-gf who works with him (he cheated on her with his present wife). His wife also works with him in the same field, they met while working most probably, so he was two timing, perfect.

Ratings - 4/10 (watch only if you have 2 hrs to kill)

Review is W.I.P~

Foremost, I think the runtime should have been around 45 minutes to properly impact the viewers. 23-24 minutes episodes aren't ideal when you're dealing with such delicate societal topics. Makers should have given viewers the time to settle in and connect themselves. I would recommend waiting for 3-4 episodes and then start watching.
Now, let's come to the societal issue this drama will be dealing with, this is not a BL, it's an LGBTQ drama, so please keep that in mind when jumping in. You gotta bring your compassion along with your passion while watching.
In the first episode, there's a disclaimer in the beginning which viewers should read carefully. Though the drama is set up of 1990s, the society is still very much prejudiced and harsh against a 'girly' boy than it is against a 'boyish' girl. If I am to give an example from my own experiences, we had a boy in our school, who liked 'girly' stuffs were harassed/made fun of by other boys and even some girls. But a tomboy was quite famous among boys and even girls. She played volleyball in district level for our school.
Nevertheless, I am through and through impressed by Araki Towa, he's going to win awards for his protreyal of Mishima for sure
