Such a strong series...with the most Pollyanna ending
To be perfectly clear, I have been a fan of this show since the first few minutes of episode one. It actually pains me to say that this episode lost me. The only saving grace is that it was the finale; had this been during the series, I would have dropped this and never looked back. This finale episode suffered from the pitfall of trying to put a fairytale ending on almost every major point of conflict that occurred during the series. Not only was it unnecessary, it felt both rushed and forced. There were wildly unrealistic character reconciliations and relationships that had promise but no time to develop. By taking such an "everything's going to be OK" tone, this episode felt disconnected from the rest of the series. So much so, that I personally lost interest early in. Best I can hope is that some of the side characters get developed into their own series.
