I think the main reason why people say the acting is awkward is because they're not used to the not very over-exaggerated manga-like reaction which what Japanese BLs usually have. The mature feeling of the drama gives is very perfect and they follow EXACTLY like the manga although the hot scene in Episode 3 was very unexpected as it's not really emphasized in the manga, AND I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR THAT. What makes me love this drama even more is because Keito and Jyutaro is in it! (they're both my favorite JPOP idols)
