There's plenty I enjoy about drama watching since I started about 5 years ago. I don't mind love triangles, hidden identities, and stories that aren't necessarily HEAS and will generally watch older completed dramas with the aid of a recap rather than a currently airing one to avoid cliffhangers and unnecessary tension. I much prefer resilient and clever leads who don't shy from conflict to ones who are sniveling, maudlin, or otherwise childlike in temperament. If I have commented on something I have either been delighted or utterly annoyed.
There is a confounding conceit on this site that musical accompaniment is a vital enhancement to a good drama. More often than not I find it intrudes on the story already being told by good acting and decent dialog. A scene can be degraded if not ruined for me by a song trying too hard to deal an emotional blow with schlocky lyrics and swelling chords that are tantamount to suddenly focusing on a nameless extra overacting in the background. It is my pet peeve. YMMV
