The story was an amazing story, not like i have seen before. Yes it did slightly remind me of Antique Bakery(Anime) and Antique but it was so much of its own story.
I loved the cast and characters they played! I grew attached to each end everyone and was sad at the end but also happy.
The music was really well suited for this drama and they had seemed to had picked the perfect movie for all the right parts.
I recommend this Drama to everyone as it really is a great story and i do hope they will make a second season.
In my personal opinion i would say this Drama is a Comedy/Slice of life drama.

Although the i liked this movie i was a little disappointed as the once you are finally getting into the movie it suddenly has a very abrupt end. It makes you feel like that is not the ending and that there is still much more of the story that could follow. To me it felt like i had watched a few episodes of a drama and then i could not watch the rest.
I gave this drama a pretty high rating purely on the fact that it does have a good story line and i was very happy watching it. I wanted the main characters to grow their bond closer. I only wish there was more, I would love to see this made into a drama series and have a longer story line and better ending.
I would recommend this Movie to people who wish to pass time or want to watch something that has a feeling of hope, promise and feeling that you can find a friend in any sort of person. I would not say don't watch it as it ends fast and leave so much unsaid, but some people may feel disappointed in the ending like i was. I still am glad i watched it and hope others feel the same.
Also if you are not the person who can stand arguments and sad stories then i advise you not to watch this move as it has a few areas like that.

Story: The story follows a short period of the lives of some students from a school. It touches on a lot of harsh subjects such as being a homosexuality, domestic abuse and other subjects not often shown in dramas. Although the story is jam packed full of controversy it also has a bit of a boring side to be honest. Some parts of the story drag on for way to long then what should have been necessary. The only story i purely enjoyed was Nicole's story for some reason. I found the story about Du and Shen Qi to be not needed as it seemed so out of place and i think it could have been done a lot better.
Cast/Acting: There are a large range of actors in this drama but only very few appealed to me. Lin Chen Xi who played Nico/Nicole was my favourite actress in this drama as she made the character that she was playing really believable.
Music: Was really well chosen for this drama i personally loved the Song Gloomy Sunday from the story from Nicole's story and after i looked it up i found out why it was so well chosen for this drama. I admit i loved the song so i downloaded it as depressing as the song is.
Rewatch Value: I personally would only watch 2-3 stories again as some really made me sleepy watching them as they were so much more mild then others but everyones tastes differ.
Overall: This drama was really something worth watching cause even if you did not like some of the stories there will be at least one or two you will enjoy and will really make you think. I recommend giving this drama a try but its not one for people who cant take sad and depressing stories.

A Lot of people say that the story is "Hard to swallow or a bitter story" i do agree to some extent although i would more say that it is a "Slice of life story with a twisted ending". From previous reviews and comments i expected this drama to make me feel more effected by it but i was left thinking well that was disappointing.
As previously stated Shinda Mirai preformed amazingly having to play 3 character and that of one at 2 different ages. She was able to create both characters and you could clearly tell what character roll she was playing each time it swapped.
I would recommend this drama to people who are a fan of Shinda Mirai or who want something that has drama but is not to twisted that you feel sick at the end.

I think i have watched it at least 4 times from start to finish.
Gokusen is a drama that is full of comedy, action, suspense and all our laughs. It tackles a lot of serious teen issues and shows that sometimes the teachers are not always the bad guys. This follows a bunch of outcast students and their teacher who come to them in their times of need and helps them out in a pinch.
Without giving to much away this drama is one of those dramas that you will get hooked on and will not want to stop watching till the end. You will feel like you are part of the class and will grow attached to everyone you meet.
This is definitely a drama i recommend anyone watching as it has so many different genres mashed up into one amazing drama. The cast play their characters splendidly and make you think its real life you are watching. Even though there are other seasons of this drama. You will still want more after it all ends.

Story: The story i thoroughly enjoyed for the most part but there was some let downs surrounds the characters and their relationships. With out going into to much details i felt although what i wanted and assumed would happen did not and it left me feeling a little unsatisfied. But that aside this was a great drama, As i am not one who really likes food dramas this one was quite a nice change. The story makes you want to fight on with the characters and you will find yourself laughing out loud with them as well as getting angry with them.
Acting/Cast: The cast was very well chosen for this drama, 3 main people who stood out for me were Okusu Chie played by Takimoto Miori who plays the main female role she captured the sweet and innocent yet clumsy characteristic of Chie so well. Aso Tokio played by the great Iagaki Goro, If there ever was a man to play a disturbed villain than this is your man its just something about his eyes that leave you feeling slightly scared yet intrigued he first caught my eye in the drama "In the Room" and since has made a big impression on me after watching this drama i find him to be an amazing actor. And lastly Ebina Musuko who on here was put as Chikako and not Musuko like it was in the drama who was played by the fabulous Karagiri Hairi, words can not express the amount of love i had for her character although i do wish they would have finally elaborated on her whole life stories she always tried to tell. She was simply the pick for my she was a whole bunch on funny and awkward and just randomly weird but yet you love her so much.
Music: Was not to bad but i wish they would have stayed away from the V-kei thing they had going on for a while. I did really love the choice of rock songs and french influenced music but i felt they could have had so much more suited songs to play.
Rewatch Value: I would probably not watch this again unless it had a second season then i may rewatch to catch up again. Some may actually want to rewatch this as it is a great drama but personally i try not to rewatch many dramas and movies as i have so many i need to still watch.
Overall: I gave it an 8 not because it was a bad drama but i felt it lacked in the "Make everything happy at the end" department. I would have loved to see E x C or T x C happen but alas it didn't and that left me a little bummed.

This drama deals with very realistic problems that teens face everyday in schools and in their homes. I quite liked how there are many lessons you will learn just by watching this drama. I think you will be left with a little bit of a new outlook on life as i was.
The cast is jammed packed full of great actors and actresses such as Aragaki Yui (from Koi Zora), Koike Teppei (from Lovely Complex), Yamashita Tomohisa (from Kurosagi) along with the charming Abe Hiroshi.
I think the cast was perfectly matched to this drama and kept it interesting. Plenty of eye candy for both boys and girls!
Music wise all the music seem to fit really well into the story especially the opening theme song Realize by Melody.
I would recommend this drama to everyone, It has its funny moments but also has a very serious side to the drama that most people would understand and relate to.

The performance by the cast is spectacular as they really draw you into their characters heart and leave you feeling as if they were someone so dear to you by the end of the movie, especially the main character.
I have watched many movies yet this is a movie who's story line will always stay in my heart and i have watched it time and time again.
Also due to this movie there are certain songs i can not listen to without tearing up.
Not to go into depth about this movie i do suggest that if you plan to watch this please understand this movie is a very realistic movie that has a message to get out. It will make you feel horrible yet grateful and if you have watched this movie you will understand why.
This movie is one of the most highest rated movies in my book as there are not many stories that can leave you with so many emotions. I recommend this movie to anyone but maybe avoid young children as it they may not understand the complex story.
Please enjoy this movie as i have.

Although i loved this story as it shows the hardships of girls working in hostess or kyabukura bars, i felt the story could have gone a lot more further if given the chance.
It follows the life of a girl who needs to find a place to stay and earn some money and how she discovers her dreams and follows them.
I recommend this drama to people who have a love for the Japanese Gyaru fashion and love a good story about girls rising up and following dreams.
As i said before i would have loved this story to go further and show her after she makes it big, and also go more in detail to other characters who appear in the movie.
Overall i enjoyed this movie and would watch it again purely to be caught up in the glamorous lives within the movie.

Although i did enjoy this drama and was drawn to it by Actress Shida Mirai, i actually have rated this drama a lot lower then what i had expected too.
The Story line was a great story but i found it would have been more effective to included more scenes of how Asahina San looked as sometimes it left me feeling as though it was only ever Shun. I did enjoy how the drama had ended and was quite satisfied but i still felt that the way Shun/Asahina were portrayed could have been done a lot better to help you feel more for that character.
Cast were great not only was i yet again impressed by Shida Mirai but Watanabe Tetsu san played amazingly well he is another actor that seems to always impress me.
Music was average the main song/ending song was a good pick but i felt they could have made it better with more filler music during scenes.
I would say to watch this as it is a good drama and the story is very enjoyable. Just i personally would have enjoyed more Asahina face time.

To me this movie kept me interested for the whole movie and the cast played their characters well and i even found myself getting all emotional at the end of the movie. As the movie is rather old the music is also rather old and a tad on the strange side but somehow it seems to fit well.
This story shows a lot of the darker sides of life and what can happen when getting messed up in the wrong businesses. There is a lot of areas of this movie that are quite harsh and unpleasant to watch so i do not recommend this drama to younger people as it may leave you feeling a bit unsure about many things.
Although this story has such a dark side there is a lot a nicer side that follows the friendship made by 3 girls and how 2 girls are reconnected by the 3 one. It also has a little bit of love story and some hope that people will help you when you are in need.
I found myself quite happy with the ending of this movie and felt moved how strangers are willing to help people and ending in a great friendship being made.
