I didn't think I would finish this in a blink of an eye, I got a heads up that it was a sad ending and I really really hate sad ending an I avoid them like a plague lol. But this one really made my eyes open and heart ache a lot. I hate that this isn't a xuanhuan drama where they can still come back alive.

So many sacrifices, so many deaths. Did it perhaps come into their minds that death was unnecessary and there's another way out other than death? There were so many choices that could lead to a better outcome but who am I to say this. Sigh, but things have escalated to a point of no return, and death was their only way out.

Acting is superb! This is my first time seeing PXR and CXX act but wow, they amazed me so much! I want to see them act again but with a happy ending HUHUHU. There's a few problems with their characters though. (tbf, which one doesn't?)

Xiaofeng- a bubbly girl, naive though as she may be, she brings liveliness wherever she goes and that's a point. As a young girl she went through a lot yet still remained as a kind and trusting girl which unfortunately was used against her. If Iwas in her poisition i'd want to jump into the river of oblivion too. Unpopular opinion though, as the crown princess and supposed future empress she's tasked with a heavy responsibility on her shoulders and for her to carry those responsibilities, she should get pass (or past?) her feelings especially since she was there for a political marriage and the XI province's people's fate lies on her hand. IF she wasn't the MC and just a minor character, I don't know how many times the Xi province will be annihilated because she escapes so so much. But in the end, at least she bought the Xi province peace, though for a hefty price.

Li Chengyin- A pitiful and hateful man. WHEN THEY ADDED THE TAG ' JERK ML' THEY WEREN'T KIDDING. He used Xiaofeng for his revenge as GXW but fell for her and that's when you know shit was going down because even though he loves her, he still went on and annihilated Danchi even though he knows it'd going to cause her pain. He was stuck up with revenge that he lost sight of what was in front of him. I can't say I like him because he really causes QXF so much pain and Sese too. He was protecting QXF, but his way of protecting her was really shit and he says he has no other choice?? Bitch could've had told QXF that it was he was his way of protecting her so they can act together instead of pushing her into a pit of hell thinking that he doesn't like her. Protecting QXF however, projected very badly on Sese. He knows the empress hates Sese but still openly protects Sese causing her to be punished. He pushed General Pei and Gu Jian to a path of no return just because they both like QXF when he's incapable of bringing her happiness. I even thought that the previous crown prince (2nd prince), although won't love QXF, he would at least treat QXF with respect. His ending.... he deserves it.

Gu Jian- HE DESERVES BETTER THE FUCK. If this was a rebirth novel, he would be the Ml and Li chengyin is the hateful person Mc would strive to avoid. He sacrificed so much for the MC and was really really remorseful for his action. Li Chengyin pales in comparison. If there is a 2nd life, I wish him a smooth sailing life, he deserves really better.

Sese- her only sin is loving Li Chengyin. I SAID WHAT I SAID.

General Pei- i fucking love him and i hate ML for forcing him into a marriage just because he was jealous.

Special mention: 2nd prince- the previous crown prince and Li Yan- I really really like the relationship of the two of them. Both are scums and that makes them perfect for each other. Li Yan is really loyal and even in death, he only wants the 2nd prince's sword ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) i feel like there's a special relationship between the two of them, and you can really see by the way they care for each other and I think that's beautiful.

THAT'S ALL Li Chengyin is a scum his only redeeming point is his pretty face LOL.

For the music,, I was waiting for Love Catastrophe because I really like that song but they only played it for like two times and it's not even a full song. lol

Mastermind

One word: Mastermind. I am absolutely blown away by this drama, I entered expecting to drop it but 2 episodes in and I was hooked! I love how powerful, smart and clever Ying Luo is. This is a beautiful well written drama that deserves 10 star rating, not only because of the beautiful costumes but also the intricate characters that moves with reason and logic. Everything is smoothly transitioning even in parts I was scared that it would be going haywire. (Ex: entering the harem)

I did not want to start this at first as I am a person of aesthetic and i did not like the baldness fajdnsajnds BUT i quickly got over it with how this is beautifully made. I just can't get over how until the end, like until the end of the drama, MC did not forget to enact her revenger. Truly a mastermind. The supporting characters and antagonists are also so good, I love them so much and I was even a bit sad when they got KO'd but ohhh, how satisfying everything was.

I am a very picky watcher and me liking this so much says so much! Watch it now!

Pretty nice.

The beginning of the drama is very interesting, the characters are very good too. As expected of Jackie, the martial arts are very nice and are actually a possible move, unlike the others. Love the casts, they picked good ones. The family dynamic is very sweet, and so cute. It makes you feel warm all over. Scenes are also quite hilarious.

Sui Zhou- is smart and protective of those whom he cares about.
Wang Zhi- my absolute favorite. At first, you'd think he's an antagonist, but he's actually not. He's smart and is able to gain the upper hand. As the emperor's eunuch and the leader of a department, it's no wonder why he's always outside the palace. At the first half, he's cold and unfeeling, on the latter half, you'll see that he really cares for Tang Fan (and Suzi Zhou). His development is the one that stands out, out of all three.
Tang Fan- now where do I start. He's very smart and witty in the first half, but when the girl appeared, he'd suddenly be dumb down. For a BL novel, the drama would of course need the censorship but this- this is too ridiculous. He blames Sui Zhou for things he did not do. The girl suddenly seemed like his love interest and his IQ would suddenly low because of her. He's impulsive because of her. Because of that, it seemed like Sui Zhou is having a one-sided love when it's not supposed to be like that. Then they suddenly kill the girl? This is too ridiculous hahah. Out of all three- for an MC at that, his character development is really not good.

BUT, I still loved it because of its mystery aspects and it really is hilarious. If you put your brain on the shelf when the girl comes into the scene, maybe it wouldn't be so unbearable for you haha.

The casts are very good. Darren Chen really suits his character, Meng Bo slew it in this scene! For Liu Yao Yuan, need I say more? He really is too amazing considering that this is his debut drama. He's versatile and can really act. He's also so adorable!

Aside from the girl one and Tang Fan's sudden dumbing down, this drama is very good.

I am burning in rage and disappointment.

Because of the high reviews, I decided to watch this. I was also looking forward to it since it seems like it'd be refreshing and all - I was wrong. To watch this, you need to throw away your logics and your last remaining brain cells.

Almost every episode is full of misunderstanding, dog-blood, bullshit, plot-holes, and cliche-trope (trip, fell, and kiss SERIOUSLY WHO DOES THAT NOWADAYS). The story is so so so ridiculous, I have to commend the team for actually putting this into a web series. MC is full of bullshit, side character and main character comedies seemed force, It is so illogical that I feel like only Pei Heng has the actual brain cells in this whole story. ML suddenly fell for MC with no rhymes or reason. He is horrible then suddenly sweet to MC there is no in-between. MC is horrible for making every situation worse for the supposed heroine. I completely understand Chen Chu2's rage.

MC was scared of getting killed, why didn't he just divorced or separated from ML since they're not 'married' anyway. It's possible as ML is just a hostage and that women are superior in her city. MC lets people point fingers at her when she's a fucking princess. She became a commoner, was hated by every people in the city then instantly became a saint-like a figure then ultimately a fucking city owner!?!??!

I have to say, MC's protagonist halo and plot armor are so fucking strong that it turned this full of potential web series into a bullshit one.

On the other part, I love ZLS and DYX. They completely fit the character lol. And the first few episodes were actually pretty sweet and humourous. Then it completely went downhill.

Also apparently, there's a season 2. Will it be for modern them or the ancient them? (unoff) title seems like it'll be for the ancient them but how will they go back there? If it is modern, will they meet chu2, yuan2, Pei heng, and other characters from the novel then bullshit ensues?

Absolutely beautiful

No words. This is bloody hell good. Didn't really expect much but I left wanting for more. Kurosawa's smile melts my heart and Adachi makes my heart itch. The whole show is so sweet, AND there's actual character development!??!? WOW.

The scenes are also heart melting. I really really want to cry now that I've finished it. Last time I've been so so so hooked on a drama was like, last year ago. I cannot forget their smile and interaction. Just remembering it makes me want to re-watch it again.

OST bloody fucking good. Acting?? Absolutely. Story? Yes. Rewatch Value? Does that need to be asked?

15/10, this is a whole ass masterpiece.

Aight, just so you know. I've dropped Zhao Liying's 3 dramas (not because of Zhao Liying but because I was lazy [long eps lol])
and this is the only one i continued watching.

I really like slice of life historical and this is the first SOL historical that I've watched. From her being a shu daughter to climbing up to become a Marquess' Furen. I loved the journey.

MC- she's a cunning girl but won't show others this side of her unless the situation needs her too. The people around her treats her unfairly and she only has her Grandma by her side. She's very practical and wants the easy way out. She's dense in the fields of love and this made ML frustrated with her, it got better of course. But i love the interaction between her and ML before the wedding more. After the wedding was full of scheming from the Gu clan, she dodged some bullet but others, she didnt.

ML- I don't like MLs with a child from their concubines im sorry :((. But other thna that, he's a very good father. He treats MC well before and after the wedding, doing his best not to give her some unpleasant rumours because of their time together. They have a good chemistry and this is good because they're married in real life <33

Side characters- some had character development some don't. The antagonists repented or died, the supporters lived a happy life. Special mention to Father because even though he's biased, the way he treated his child is already good compared to others.

The arc near the end scared the life of me. But fear not! Gu and Emperor has everything on the palms of their hands.

Overall I really liked it but it was unnecessarily long.

A doting Gentleman and a Domineering Lady

Shoot. I didn't expect to like it that much. I was initially drawn by ZBB because I've like him since Eternal Love, i just love looking at his face. Then I found the plot somewhat interesting, I was like a lady from the past to the modern times? Why not? This is one of the first few budding somewhat time travel in C dramas so i wanted to watch it. I entered with head empty and left with bubbles.

I absolutely love the interactions between our main CP. It was my first time to watch a domineering lady and a golden retriever ML in modern drama. God, i love how doting ML is, he's always at our MC's beck and call. Whatever she says, he follows. This is my main favorite part in the drama. They're just so cute!! It was a refreshing watch. The plot is somewhat all over the place but still better than most, considering the censorship and all but the interactions between the two of them completely saved it for me.

Can I just say that Jin Tian's dresses are such a hit!! She's always so pretty and a pretty lady takes the cake. It makes it much more enjoying to watch. Really so cute to watch !

As a fan of chinese mythology, it goes without saying that I fell in love with this. Nini is such a great actress, because of this, I fell for her. ML is also great at being cold, caring and everything. 2nd ML... hmm, he is good but his visual is kinda lacking...

The mortal realm arc is so draggyyyyy is skipped it. As like every c-drama ever where one of the protagonist need to disappear or go through something that they might end up dead, this one is no exception. But I still love it!

Music- Not particularly that awesome but one song got stuck in my head.

Story- pretty good.

Unexpectedly Good, Easy to follow story

Its kinda rare for me to like a web drama without dropping but this was good! I really like the relationship between the mother and son, and is definitely the highlight of the show. I like how he takes care of her, really filial. Though he may come pushy at times which would seem annoying to others. The ML is also quite cute, he is very caring of MC. MC is also cute.

The music is a bit eh, but its okay. The acting definitely needed some work, but on their emotional scenes, its very good to look at. The story is new, I really like it. I was actually scared that ill inevitably ship the mother and son, but they have a very cute chemistry, really giving family vibes.

What i didn't like: The son and MC:s mother which is his aunt. Nothing against it, just didn't really like it.

ENDING: CONFUSING HAPPY ENDING? Its really confusing. I don't understand.

very wow just wow

to start of my review, i'm someone who is very very picky and drop dramas in a heartbeat. bpoop phaeh saniwaat is one example, and I'm seeing a lot of comparisons. This drama however,,, it's just so good. I am very speechless and I can only express my happiness watching this by squirming around like a worm and screaming with no sounds. The butterflies it gave me is tenfolds my crush gave me. It's just so wow. So good.

The acting of the actress is so amazing, I especially liked her Duangkaew acting, she's so very beautiful when she cries. Her Opal is so amazing too, flirty, funny without being annoying. Her acting is so wow because I never felt that the mc is cheating just because they have the same face, I can tell who is who just by her mannerism. Puen is so wow, he wasn't really that eye-catching at first but as the episodes go on, his acting goes a level deeper and I find myself enamored with him. Especially his smile! It's so good-looking I literally melt whenever he smiles. Krating is good, but can definitely improve, but oh wow is his acting in the realization in the first few episodes about 'Opal' being beautiful caught my heart.

Now onto the story: The story is not that deep, nor angsty nor too political. It's the perfect amount of action and fluff. I didn't get tired of it, I wanted more. The writing for MC ( + the execution) made it so beautiful. She's bubbly without being annoying, and I hate bubbly characters with my whole heart but oh my god is MC so good. Not to mention I hate HATE always crying characters (white lotus) BUT WOW is Namtarn acting so good I loved both of her characters. The MLS are so DOTING I literally melt whenever they talk to the MCS. P'Vej is doting in his words and action while still being gentlemanly, while Ppop's little touches to Duangkaew is so good too, he's always there by her side to support her the same way P'vej dotes and indulge Opal. Although I have to say Ppop is a bit lacking bc he didn't believe Duangkaew in the first place.

Just that, the catching the rebels arc made my blood boil at P'vej, HOWEVER, his acting and smiles towards Opal made my rage towards him go from "FUCK HIM !!!" to "FUCK WHY IS HE SO DOTING TOWARDS HER STILL? HE'S SHIT BUT HE'S SO GOOD ;-;"

The music weren't anything phenomenal but they're just right for the scenes.

I will definitely rewatch this in the future because wow oh wow I wanna feel love again.

Absolutely Love this!

I have watched this more than 2 - 3 years ago but I can still remember because the acting is just phenomenal and the plot is really intriguing! This is where I became a fan of both main leads. They're just, so so good. The chemistry is so butterfly-inducing and there's no boring moment. Just love this.

Actors- 10/10 MSC and Wallace together is something I did not know I needed. Wallace will really make you feel like you're his whole world by the way he stares at you, Ma sichun is so pretty and so smart from the beginning and that's nice!

Plot- the plot really surprised me, and I was so invested in everything. I love it.

Music- I don't really remember the music lol.

Rewatch- Will definitely rewatch.

So I rarely watch modern web drama bec, first- low budget, bad acting, basically just making do. Which iQiyi - a money-grubbing company loves to have. (Thankfully, their web dramas has been improving....) and I just watched this because of my soon to run out iQiyi VIP pass. So I didn't hold any hopes.

The premise is very eye-catching but also very absurd. What in the bloody world is WTF666? Design, I've seen in the photos that the designs don't even look that good. Meh. But when I finally watched it, I was already laughing out loud! in the middle of the night! It has a lot of funny moments and barely has any drama (they fixed all the drama in the end). There's very few misunderstanding and gets resolved easily which I like very much.

ML is the typical unfeeling CEO. His meow-mode seems normal and could probably be improved. 2nd ML is very lovely, he gives off the feeling of a pure soul, making me want to date him and at the same time not date him because it feels like blasphemy, he's like a god.

MC is cute, she did well in dog-mode. I felt like they were really different people. 2nd MC seems hateful, but i kinda like her towards the end with 2nd ML.

Also, might I add that I really don't like ML with established girlfriends even more so for the MC to have a suitor and he even had her first kiss in the series. It was already ep 15 but ML and MC are still friends. But oddly enough, I did not dislike it. I even like it more when they were just friends.

There's only one real villain and one sub villain.

It's a good webdrama to pass by.

I really, really love this. Never in my life did I think I would get butterflies from a c-drama. Lots of it in fact.

MC is cold but caring. ML is bubbly and smart. There's barely any kiss but the chemistry between the two of them are very good. The ML is a good-looking man, the MC is cute and pretty. Because of this, I have become a fan of the two main leads.

The story is nothing too outstanding but the main characters bought life to this seemingly plain plotline.

When everything was going well, of course, something bad will happen to either the MC or the ML towards the end (which is completely unnecessary). Tbh, I skipped the last episodes and just watched the final ep. Ren Jialun is indeed too handsome ahah.

I seriously love this.

First of all I love the acting! ML is so handsome! and MC is pretty too.

Just that, why is it that almost all of the characters are always on the verge of tears, if not crying? Especially the ML, like?? It's not that boring but it's not that catchy either. I put it on 1.25x whenever im watching and sometimes 2.0x if the scenes are uninteresting.. which is very often.

Also, maybe it's just that i'm used to chinese historical drama but the punishments are too lenient.
just a cup of poison for someone who tried to kill the king twice and planned a coup? I was expecting for him to be beheaded or his whole family to get killed... and his daughter who also planned the coup with him and wronged the MC gets to live!? damn bro, if someone dared to fuck with my girl i wouldn't let that one live.

Also, most of the time, the king is just worrying about MC.. sure, he did plan to get the righteous officials by his side but that's it and it only happened for like, 3 or 4 times? No direct mention of the king caring for his people without the officials.

the ending is also unsatisfying. there was just 5 minutes left at the end of the series and both of them still didn't meet!? plus, what happened after? did he reinstate her as the queen since they have a boy, or what... did he abolish the monarchy since this happened at Joseon era? I thought it ould be that case at first too, lol I was wrong.

one more thing. the fight scenes are unsatisfying cause they die so easily !? and it's so shortttttttt. Just my two cents lol. But it is good.

the only ost that i find pleasing to the ears is the one at the end of the series, around ep 15 or 16 i guess? and they only played it once ugh.

but it's good tho. you should watch if u want to kill time

First of all, I was skeptical because at the first scene of ep 1, the acting is weak and the voice over at the cartoon really is too... bad. But that was only that time. Because when it came to acting, everything fits so well! Although, Zon's character is too cringey (it gets better) , Timmy delivered it pretty well.

Saifah x Zon shipper to the max!

I love how balanced the two main couple are- FighTor as the 18 +ship while Saifah and Zon's is the innocent ship. BUT I KID YOU NOT, SAIFAH AND ZON'S NO MORE THAN 20 MINUTES COMBINED KISSING AND HUG SCENE RIVAL'S THOSE OF FIGHTOR. The french kiss is too *chef's kiss* i kid you not, i was not at all expecting that! Then all of a sudden, there's tongue! Good lord , the sound *swoons*. I rewatched it multiple times and rewatches it still.

Saizon is really to pure, especially with Saifah being so cute!! Zon matured pretty well I like how he calmly just go to Saifah without being the shy baby that he is - Idk if matured, I don't also know if it's character development because his change is pretty abrupt- but after episode 8, he became less of a 'korean girl in novels' as said by saifah. He's a big baby ! I so love the saizon ship! The singing part?? Heavenly. It's like they were on their own little world. I especially love it because Timmy's (Zon's actor) has a godly voice.

Fightor is another hand- they were hot. The kissing scene was hot (nut no tongues, sadly). Let's talk about the emotional scene, I was not at all expecting to sob hard i tell you, at 3 am because of Zee and Saint's crying scene. Especially at Tutor's bedroom in ep 12 part 1. I was heaving and sobbing I could not breathe and im not even lying! They make me cry and laugh at the right moment, evoking the right emotions with their acting.

The music is oh my god, this is the first time I watched a thai series with a song that makes me have an LSS. I can't get the song out of my head ;_; and this is particularly hard because i don't eve know the lyrics and most of the time i just improvise it hehe/

11/10 recommend! I feel like i can watch this multiple times and not get tired at all. Wishing for more Saifah x Zon scenes that were abruptly cut short because of miss rona ! Please just go away miss rona :')
