There was a little doubt in my spirit when it was announced that there would be a HIStory 3. I said to myself "there is no way they're gonna top HIStory 2 Crossing the Line, absolutely NO WAY!" and I was quite adamant about it, but that one fateful day when I sat down and pressed play on my computer was the best day EVER.

First, let's talk about the actors. This cast is amazing. Their chemistry is beyond what I thought it would be. The way they interacted. Watching the behind the scenes I could see how they embodied the characters but at the same time had a genuine like for one another. They each brought something different to the show.

Now to get into the nitty-gritty. The hate turn love relationship between Shao Fei and Tang Yi was just as a relationship should develop. Don't just smash two characters together and tell me they love each other. Give me the backstory. Give me reasons why the other is hesitant, what happened to them that caused them to be this way, etc. Build it up and then let me see the results, and THAT is what HIStory 3 Trapped did. It was amazing how well they worked together, and the story always kept you guessing on what would happen next. As you found things out you were either pleasantly surprised or shocked to be right about a theory. That's what this show did, it gave you a chance to theorize what would happen next. Unlike other dramas in which you know what's going to happen, in this one you didn't. Every step of the way you were wondering, captivated, too far in to just drop it and too committed to the character to not watch it.

On to Zhao and Jack. Beautifully done. I wished there was more time with them, but I have an imagination, I feel things happened behind the main story between these two and I'm appreciative of it. The way they care for each other, it's beautiful.

The story. What can I say I haven't already? WATCH IT! Watch all 20 episodes and you tell me what you think of the story. I honestly feel like I've been on a rollercoaster ride and honestly, I want to ride it again, and perhaps even a third time. Now I can only hope that they do for this one as they did for Crossing the Line and make it into a full-length movie. I mean I can hope, right? I'll just say this. The only thing I wished was different was the scenes between Jack and Zhao. I wanted them to have more time onscreen. Show us their development as you showed Shao Fei and Tang Yi. That's really the only thing I have.

BEST. BL DRAMA. EVER! and believe me when I say I have seen quite a few and will continue to watch them, but this one will forever be etched into my memory.

I gave it a 10/10 because the story itself was well done. Regardless of the ending everything fell into place and was amazing. The ending was sad, but also happy. When you watch it you will understand why I say this. My heart yearns for peace for Hao Ting in that he finally gets the closure he so desperately needs. If there is a HIStory 4 I will definitely watch. I don't understand why there is so much hate, but as the title says Make Our Days Count is a literal statement we should all live by. We cannot sit idly by and allow time to pass. Every day we need to make it count. Do things you wouldn't normally do. I am happy because Xi Gu did things he wouldn't have done when he was with Hao Ting. He did so much. He was loved and he was able to love someone. Life is not all about happy endings. Yes some of us come to BL dramas to escape the realities of the world and that's okay, but just remember to LIVE! I was thoroughly shaken to the core by the actors acting. They all did such an amazing job.

The guy who looked like Xi Gu was actually someone Hao Ting befriended on a hike. Do you remember what Sun Bo said during the end? He asked Hao Ting what he was going to do now that he'd met the guy. Hao Ting explained that no one could replace Xi Gu and that one day he'd climb the mountain to finally see him again. People feel like Hao Ting is basically saying goodbye to everyone, but I feel he is saying this because that will be the day he finds closure when he climbs the mountain and gets closest to the stars like Xi Gu always wanted to. I am glad he went to college and graduated. it is something both he and Xi Gu wanted, even though Xi Gu was the driving force behind his want to go to college. The moment Hao Ting broke down looking through the box and the moment he watched the young couple walk across the street, it gave me hope that he would one day find solace. I am happy Sun Bo reminded him that he wasn't alone, that he was never alone in his suffering. I implore everyone to get a friend like Sun Bo who listens and understands.

The only thing I would have liked to have is closure. We all need closure. Hao Ting needs closure and all of the viewers need closure. What I would have liked to have seen was how things played out after Xi Gu died. How did the family react? What about the twin that had feelings for Xi Gu? How did he cope? What about the cafe owner? They were extremely close. How did he react? What happened in the span of three or so years that were left blank because of the time skip. Give me that closure I need. Don't just tell me, show me. Show me how things played out and allow me to cope.

Now with the second couple. I am so happy they had a happy ending. I am happy Zhi Gang's father actually wanted him to come home. That moment put a smile on my face.

I applaud the director for going a route NO ONE expected. I guessed this ending before it happened and was hoping I was wrong, but this story was so beautifully done. With that said, please support the director, the actors, the producer and the author of these stories. They do so much and yet sometimes are bombarded with so much hate. With stories this good, one can only hope for a HIStory 4. Just don't kill anyone off in Crossing the Line 2. I beg of you.

This is what I like to see in a BL drama.  The acting was great, the story was beautiful.  Young love, but love nonetheless.  It tells a story of how love comes to be between two individuals of the same gender.  There is pain, and there is emotion, but overall there is a resolution.  Yes, this story has a happy ending, but you have to understand what the character had to go through for that happy ending.  Beautiful story, my only wish is that the episodes were longer and the story went farther as to what happens after the eight episode.

I enjoyed the storyline.  The two main characters and their struggles bring the story together.  I remember watching and wondering why the things happened the way they did, but then I had to remember it was because of the different culture.  Homosexuality isn't as accepted as it is in the USA, so I had to understand that the way things were, the promise the mother made the son keep because parents in Asia are revered and respected.  If they tell you to do something, to go against them is heresy.  Nonetheless, I remember getting upset as I watched one of the main characters choose a life he didn't want because of his mother's dying wish.  It saddened me that he had to live a lie, but it saddened me, even more, when his ex-lover, who was still in love with him, used tricks to get him, drug him and basically do everything to him because he wanted revenge for how his heart was broken.   The story is good from beginning to end and the ending, which I hope it is renewed for a 3, but the ending is just vague enough to make you wonder if, after the ban on LGBT media, there will be a continuance of the love story between the two main characters.  I surely hope so.  LOVED this and I hope there is a 3.
