Enjoyable and worthwhile but not a masterpiece
Okay, so lets just start by saying I am only 16 minutes and 12 seconds into the first episode. I know, what am I doing writing a review already? But hear me out. Despite having not even finished one episode yet, multiple things have already been made clear. First of all, the CGI is quite bad. I really hope it's because of a low budget, because I really mean it's bad. I think 10 minutes in or something swords explode and it looks like that awful explosion you see in y8 games or something. Secondly, the sound is awful too. It sounds a bit like it was recorded in a room with the actor in one end and the microphone in the other. Theres a small echo or something. Thirdly, it's incredibly easy to see when they use a green screen. It's like medium effort was put into it, but then they were like "nahhh, that's enough." Honestly speaking, so far it's a mess and I really don't get how it has such high rating. Anyway, for some unknown reason I'm gonna continue for now, but I assume it's because I'm pretty bored and don't know what else to do.
EDIT: I've now finished 3 episodes, and I can say it has gotten much better. The sound seems normal now, the CGI is lots better too, although not the best. As for the green screens, it's not something I've noticed since the beginning of episode 1.
EDIT 2: Just finished ep 26. I think it's quite enjoyable overall, so I don't regret watching it. It does get a bit tiring how everyone always assumes MC is gonna lose against his opponent, despite him literally always winning. Also, it looks like each character pretty much only got one animation each for all of their attacks. Of course there are differences, but it does look really similar. Anyway, I do think it is good enough so I will be watching the rest when it airs, but don't expect a masterpiece.
