i dont know what to say.... definitely one of the best chinese dramas i've ever watched!!!! they could have ended the drama a few episodes early... but after watching the last episode i forgot about all the faults that i had found in this drama...
that last episode!! goodness gracious!! that last episode proved that yang mi is a versatile actor! she's amazing and nobody could have played fuyao (and bai qian- i can never forget TMOPB ) better dan her! i had always thought that mark chao in his role as ye hua in ten miles of peach blossoms was the best chinese actor i had ever seen... but ethan juan blew me away!!!! and i really liked the character of zhangsun wu ji... that last episode showed how good of an actor he is!! the rest of the cast did a wonderful job too... i really liked the fighting scenes... especially the fight scenes between wu ji and fu yao... the chemistry between the two was too good! and the love they had is the kind of love i wish to have....
i wish they had been a little clear with the 5 spells that were placed on fuyao... that part was a bit confusing... wu ji's pet hamster was cute too.. episodes 50-60 was kinda boring...
but overall this is a beautiful drama that i highly recommend! 9/10
P.S vengo gao looks better with white hair!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

it's been a week since i have been indoors due to the corona virus outbreak and this drama made this week pass by in the blink of an eye !
First if all it's best to leave behind whatever knowledge we have about Feng Jiu and Di Jun from ten miles of peach blossoms as that story focused mainly on Ye Hua and Bai Qian and the directors there didn't have the rights to adapt FJ and DJ's story... So they couldn't portray the real story of DJ and FJ in TMOPB....

I had hated both DJ and FJ's character in TMOPB as the former was too cold and emotionless while the latter was very immature and naive and naturally i wasn't interested about their story... But their characters portrayed in this drama was just amazing.... We finally get to see Feng Jiu evolve into a queen and Di Jun turn into a hopeless romantic for FJ... At times they were soo sweet that i almost got diabetes watching them... It was especially cute to see Dilreba acting like a fox whenever DJ touched her... The was she rubs her head against his hand or the way she sniffs when he taps her nose was just plain adorable... Vengo Gao as Di Jun was too good especially his playful and mischeivous moments with FJ and the others.
The cast as usual was amazing... I wish we could get more of Lian Song and Chen Yu in the future... It would have been really good if Ye Hua also had a cameo appearance like Bai Qian... I like how the writer connected every part the story... Some parts were confusing and unnecessary but then again it wouldn't be a chinese drama if it wasn't and the good parts of the drama kinda overpower the bad parts... According to me Ah Lan Ruo's dream was unnecessarily long... I wanted more of DJ and FJ in the heavenly world.... FJ's decision in the 54th episide kinda annoyed me but as long as those two end up together i am fine with it... In the absolute end of the drama, when FJ and DJ say to each other that FJ is DJ's and DJ is FJ's, Bai Gun Gun retorts saying that they both are his and that was the best ending this drama could have had....

The OST is also pretty good. I enjoyed this journey of Bai Feng Jiu and Dong Hua Di Jun, the couple that was not destined for each other but ended up writing their own destiny..

PS- you need absolute patience to watch this. For me, TMOPB will always have a special place in my heart but i will defintely not forget this either..
PPS- i liked the new actor who played the role of Bai Zhen... The actor whole played High God Zhe Yan was likable but at times i felt that he had a villainous face... But i'm really interested to know more about the relationship between these two...

first of all, to all those who are here after seeing johnny huang in the cast list, he only appears in this drama for 10-15 min... that's it!
now abt the drama.. may contain spoilers ahead..
the story is very inspiring and it was well portrayed by the casts... this was my first luo jin drama... and i've to say that he did his role wonderfully.... since this is based on a real story i have to commend the writer who has gone through soo many hardships but still made it out in the end as a successful writer... i'm not exactly a fan of zheng shuang... her acting is the same everywhere.. and at times i feel she tries too much to act... her expressions in certain situations are completely random.... the rest of the cast was really good...
this story is centered around love and friendship... i really loved the friendship between chang gong, xiao shan and han dong... their relationship was beautiful... it's the kind of friendship that everybody should have.. they were always there for each other and were soo supportive...
moving onto the romance.. the chemistry between luo jin and zheng shuang wasn't that great.. AND THERE WASN'T EVEN A SINGLE KISS! at times i felt that they were more like friends than lovers... i really liked the relationship between yao yao and li ning feng.... overall its worth a watch....

well...i didn't like it nor did i hate it... it was one of those dramas which makes you want to stop watching halfway through but curiosity of how it will end encourages you to go further.... i personally find dilraba gorgeous but acting wise she still has a bit more room for improvement.. deng lun was amazing as always!! their relationship made me want to pull my hair out as well as coo and aww... i really liked the relationship between xin yan and chen mo.. they were adorable... there were quite a few unnecessary parts... i basically watched the whole drama on fast forward... overall, the cast, storyline, ost was pretty good... one time watch drama... 6.5/10
PS: it killed me every time i saw them destroying those beautiful flowers....

Light and pleasant drama!

I would like to begin by saying that I am a huge fan of Xiao Zhan! I just love the guy! So it's obvious that I'd watch any drama of his even if I had to wait for more than a year or two!
Although a cliché, the storyline is quite simple and entertaining. Nothing huge or unexpected happens throughout the drama and it's a great drama if you are in the mood for something light hearted. It's not everyday that I come across a drama with good music. I loved the opening duet which was sung by ours truly, Xiao Zhan and Yang Zi... Their voices complement each other really well and so do they. The chemistry between them is really sweet even if one of them is a mature man and the other just a college student. Both the leads do have certain moments of immaturity and impulsiveness but the drama is all about how they overcome their shortcomings.
I'm not saying it's a great drama. But I can say that one will have a pleasant time watching this one (I'd have a pleasant time just looking at Xiao Zhan's face and smile, hehe).
Do give it a try! I really think that you might like this one!

I really think this one is underrated

When it comes to lengthy historical Chinese dramas, it is a known fact that the drama will take 20 something episodes before the main plot kicks in. This was also one such drama. The first few episodes are a little difficult to get through but once you keep watching, I assure you it's got one of the most promising plots and characters.

Story:
It's a typical story about camaraderie and how everyone grows with every single experience/obstacle that they overcome. The character of Zhou Fei begins with an impulsive and immature character but it is wonderful to watch her become the best of herself throughout the drama. The character of Xie Yun is just absolutely charming and I could keep watching him forever. It's a female centric drama which focuses on a strong female lead and I'm totally a fan of such dramas. There's enough drama involved that there's no unnecessary drama between the main leads. Their romance is just very pure and the blind trust between them makes the drama worth watching. With the exception of some plot holes (like what happened to Chuchu's brother), the story is pretty decent and engaging.

Acting:
I've never been a fan of Zhao Liying. I always thought that she lacked the necessary emotions to pull off intense characters. But she surprised me in this one. As for Wang Yibo, he has always been one of my favourites ever since The Untamed and he was the main reason I got through the first few episodes. If you liked WYB as the cold and aloof Lan Wangji, this one is a must watch as he plays a completely opposite character. His smile is absolutely devastating. The rest of the cast also did a great job in making this drama worth a watch.

The one thing that I totally loved in this drama were some of WangYibo's dialogues! They were just so unique, hilarious and original. His character's flirtatious nature just makes the drama even more enjoyable.

Do not judge the drama based on the storyline mentioned here as it is much more than a story of bandits. I hope everyone likes it and enjoys it as much as I did. I'm off to read some fanfictions to get over this drama!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! GO WATCH IT NOW!!

I have come back to edit my stupid comment from a few months ago! This drama does not deserve any critics from me!

I LOVED this drama so much that I have started writing fanfictions, created a tumblr just to be apart of this fandom!!! It has been months since I've watched it, but I'm still going through fanfics after fanfics trying to fill the hole that this drama has left behind in my heart! There was never a moment where I felt that the story was getting boring or going downhill... Every single person in the entire cast is very handsome and beautiful and this made the drama totally worth it!
The bromance (ROMANCE, FUCK YOU CENSORSHIP!) between the 2 leads was just too much for my poor heart to handle.. The real story is supposed to be a BL but this stupid Chinese Government just can't let us enjoy some romance... Although there weren't any heartwarming hugs and kisses, if you looked closely you would find certain moments between the main leads that's just too precious... The directors and producers have done a wonderful job at canceling the romance with bromance! But the hoe in me needed some romance and I ended up looking for the novel... I read the last few chapters which focused on the love between Wei Wu Xian and Lan Zhan and it's safe to say that it was like a much needed Fanfiction after an amazing drama...
Xiao Zhan who played WWX is sooo beautiful... His smile is everything! And Wang Yi Bo, good Lord! I still can't believe that dork managed to pull of a complex character like Lan Wang Ji! I've truly got not words! The drama has very few female characters but every single woman in this drama was absolutely stunning and they've done justice to their characters! Actually, all the actors have done justice to their characters and the drama! And I've become such a fan of Liu Haikuan and his character Lan Xi Chen, that I am completely bonkers for him! And Jiang Cheng is my favorite character too!

The title of the drama The Untamed is also well suited as the entire story wouldn't have happened if the main lead wasn't untamed! Go Wei Wuxian!!!
Overall it was an amazing journey and I'm glad to have witnessed it.. 10/10

I've watched quite a few cliché Chinese dramas and honestly, this one's not so bad..

There are only two things that I really liked in this drama and that is the main leads characters and their amazing chemistry!!! Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu make a beautiful pair that compliment each other very well...
It's a typical drama with a strong female lead and an overly concerned male lead who keeps thinking that his female counterpart is a damsel in distress.. But lo and behold, the female lead turns out to be pretty strong.. Cue the romance.. Add some spice and turns and twists and you get a melodrama...

The actors deserve a huge credit for making this drama work out for me! I have always put off watching Ashes of Love owing to it's sad nature but now, I am even more vary to watch it because I have become such a fan of Luo Yunxi, that I don't think I can handle watching him suffer!

I personally believe that the the last 6 episodes were completely unnecessary... They tried showing us a domestic version of their romance which was filled with usual and typical couple squabbles with pride and career getting in the way of their relationship.. They probably tried to make it realistic but that is the last thing some of us want.. We just want a cute and sweet relationship without the realities of the harsh world... And what pissed me the most was that Yuan Shuai, Du Lei and Jiang Jun, who had all reached to some sort of an understanding and in the last 6 episodes Du Lei just goes completely unhinged and messes up the whole character building that he had done throughout the drama... That was truly very disappointing because he had come to become my favorite..

Overall, it's a decent watch.. I know my comments are filled with negatives more than positives but one persons trash is another person's treasure.. Who know, you might just like it! So don't let my comment hold you back from witnessing their beautiful chemistry!

I DID NOT REGRET WATCHING THIS!

I'd like to begin by saying that I highly recommend this drama... When the drama was on air, I had watched a few snippets and I had high expectations from it... I'm not saying that I didn't like it... I very much liked it.. It's a very relatable and heart touching drama...
The cast was too good... They have done a spectacular job at portraying every single emotion and character.. The story was pretty good with usual dramatic ups and downs but the drama managed to successfully pull it off.. I dont usually like watching flashbacks or slow intros but I really loved the childhood parts in this.. We need more people like Li Haichao in this world..
The drama had really good potential and I think that it could have been made a little better by eliminating certain parts.. Especially the love triangle between Li Jianjian, Ling Xiao and He Ziqiu... Yes, He Ziqiu was not really in love with her and gave up pretty soon but I still felt that it was completely unnecessary.. I'm a fan of romance, but I think that this drama could have really survived without the romance between the three of them.. And I didn't really feel the chemistry between Li Jianjian and Ling Xiao... The dynamic that the trio had as siblings during their childhood (I know, because of seperation for long duration and all but I'm not talking about that) was kind of lost in the 2nd half of the drama.. And I didn't really understand the relationship aspect between Li Jianjian and Ling Xiao? Like when? How? One minute Li Jian Jian was like, "no, you're my brother" and the next she's like, "you're my boyfriend"? This is the only complaint that I have with this drama... The romance was all over the place.. Everybody's romance was all over the place.. Except Li Haichao and He Mei's relationship... Now, that was adorable... I loved it!
I kind of felt that the ending was a little rushed but I watched the 40 episode version, so idk if there's any difference...
Overall, I'd highly recommend watching it and I had a pleasant time with this drama... The osts made me immediately go on youtube and download them! Do give this a try, you won't regret it.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
I had a really good time watching this drama!! It feels like i started the 1st episode just yesterday and now i am done with the last! after that drama it's safe to say that i am now a huge fan of Li Xian!!! the cast was tooooo good!! the OSTs were also very catchy... absolutely loved the bromance in this drama... initially the romance between the main leads was very awkward but toward the end they got all cute and cringey! now that i'm done with this drama i don't know what to do... all the couples in this drama were adorable!!! i especially liked the relationship that team solo shared... usually i dont pay much attention to the competitions happening in the dramas.. but i was very interested in what was happening here although i never understood a single thing!

In the beginning i hated Tong Nian's character because i felt that she didn't have her own personality or any self respect.... but i'm glad that Han Shang Yan did not let her continue to be the same way...

Overall it was a wonderful drama and i had a pleasant time watching it!!! A definite 8/10!!!

PS: i am now going straight to Medical examiner Dr Qin to get my continued dose of Li Xian!

i honestly didn't expect much from this drama.... but the feelings that are coursing through my body right now make me feel so satisfied that i chose to give this a try.. one of my top ten best korean dramas! i had seen son ho jun's performance in my secret terius and i'm glad i got to see him in this as a main lead! jang na ra has always been exceptional and she did a wonderful job in portraying her role as a wife and as a mother! the baby that played the role of seo joon is so adorable too!

the thing that i liked the most in this drama is that even if they went back to the past they never forgot about their son.... every child around them reminded them of seo joon... and the emotions they portrayed whenever they thought of SEo joon was soo touching! the rest of the cast did a pretty amazing job too... lee yi kyung is such a wonderful but underrated actor!!! this drama tells about a love that is so pure that even when a chance was given to change their fate, they chose to walk down the same path! i'm pretty sure it taught all of us some important lessons...

i really loved chiu roy's expressions in this drama... i had watched joanne tseng in refresh man and had really liked her in it... initially it was very interesting and fun... but towards the last 5-6 episodes there came a lot of unnecessary drama... i really admired the friendship between the two female leads... i wanted hao sheng nan to meet a good guy in the end... but unfortunately, that didn't happen... at times i liked huan zhen's character and at times i hated her.. she rejected hao meng soo many times in the last few episodes but when he gave her an exaggerated proposal she accepted it... i liked the relationships of hao meng's and huan zhen's parents... overall, it can be considered as one time watch drama...

just completed this drama and i must say that this was a really good and entertaining one! so ji sub was amazing as always... His relationship with the kids was soo cute!!! jung in sun portrayed her character really well and she's sooo damn beautiful.. joon-joon were the most adorable kids i have ever seen on screen and they acted soo well... the nose-nose thingy was soo cute! especially when so ji sub does it to jung in sun!! for the first time i wasn't bothered by the fact that there was no romance in this drama.. their friendship is a ship that will forever sail! the KIS was amazing too... the storyline kept me hooked from the beginning to the end! son ho jun was another remarkable character... the guy who played ra do woo is so handsome! the OST's were pretty good too... and that was a really good way to end a drama... i really wish we could have got an insight on the mission that was given to them in the end!
overall i'd rate this drama a 9/10... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! WORTH THE WATCH!
