I really can't complain about this movie, it was definitely different from the Disney's Mulan, but why would anyone expect it to be similar? I am a huge fan of the Disney version, and I'm a big fan of this one now as well, they are both equally good in their own ways. It's nice to see a realistic version of Mulan and more of how it would of went. I don't normally watch Chinese dramas or movies, and I'm really glad I watched this, and I really hope that everyone will give it a shot, I think the romance in it is just beyond touching and the story went very smoothly as well. I did however feel that they rushed the beginning a little too much and I think it would of been better if they played out the training a little more to let us know more about the side characters; I think it would of helped to pull the audience in on a more personal level.
