The truth is im not a fan of chinese wuxia type of genre drama but this one is really good and worth to watch. The story is simple, easy to understand and have a mix of fun, comedic, romance ,fighting, sad, friendship and much more. Through this I know chen fei yu and started to follow him as a fan.Im satisfied with his way on portraying Lu Ping. Cheng xiao acting also not so bad. Yeah.. It's not superb but still watchable. I love her chemistry as Qin Sang with Lu Ping. But the ending though...so sad.
Overall Legend of awakening is worth to watch.with young and fresh actor/actresses, plot of story that not so heavy and less cringey romantic scene, very good fighting scene plus a good music, im totally satisfied while watching it

It's not that bad

Firstly I'm not a fan of either li yifeng or chen yukee. I decided to watch this because of the bad review it get from the moment it's airing. Some said the plot is difficult to understand. Male lead looks fat. Female lead doesn't have the X factor. Bla.. Bla... Bla...
I watch it without skipping at all for most episode but there is some that quite boring actually. I have to skip that but it's totally normal. I skipped many episode from many c/k drama that boring for me. Even ashes of love also can't be spared.
Overall for me,mirror tales of twin cities is not so bad. Male lead li yifeng is not fat at all. He is really good looking. Why the heck they said he's fat?.. I cannot understand the over judgement of some netz. Body shaming has become quite normal and totally accepted nowadays.. 😑
For female lead, she also a great actress. I known her in ashes of love. She quite boyish there but totally beautiful as Bai ying.And she absolutely have the xyz factor as actress.
The story also is not so difficult to understand.It's quite predictable actually.It's love triangle between lead male, female lead and 2nd male lead. Kongsang and QianQian in rift because of Baiwei/Baiying. What is so difficult to understand in that??..
I will keep watching this because the story is good actually. Nothing is bad here. Give it a chance. Don't so easily critized. Don't do body shaming.Don't pass judgement before watch the whole story. You only watch 1/2 episode and suddenly said it's bad. There is 43 episode total.come on. It's really not fair.

Watching the 1st ep,I can't help but to compare Ning Que Chen Fei yu with Dylan Wang.It's not about Dylan Wang acting.He is good but Chen Fei yu has engraved a fix potrayel of Ning Que in my mind.it's weird to see other actor as Ning Que.This is the consequences the prod have to face when they changed main lead for Ning Que.Also I think the story in season 2 has become more complicated,messier and once again..no Chen Fei yu which for me had a great impact for the whole story.Chen Fei yu is Ning Que.it's difficult to watch,when he is not there.Chen Fei yu has this kind of playful side which is perfect for Ning Que.while Dylan Wang..I don't know..something just missing.
This is just my opinion.For me season 1 is far more great and epic in everyhing.from cast to the story and music.I wish they not changed the cast.that for me is the real issue with ever night season 2.

Do not watch it if you don't like history

The main reason I watch this drama is because of Vic Chou. I see him as male lead and I make decision to watch it. First... I sincerely thought it would be boring. Story about palace, King, politician and struggle for power never amuse me. Except for certain production like Dong Yi and Under Queen Umbrella. I watch palace of devotion from last episode. See if it can attract me to watch more. And surprisingly..it does.
Palace of devotion for me don't have a heavy plot. It basically about a King and his struggle to conceive a Prince as future Emperor. I don't see much love story between male and female lead because the King still take numerous concubine while he claim he only love female lead. I cannot feel any chemistry between the lead. I like King relationship with his one concubine, Wan-er. Their story is much more stronger.
61 episode is fair enough for me. Some said the production actually planning more than 61. I'm glad it doesn't take more than that.
Vic Chou as usual is gorgeous. He successfully portraying a King who has his own struggle for power. A struggle that in the end claiming his own life. Some episode and story make me cry hard. He is the King, but sadly he don't have full power on how to handle his own country. Politician constantly in a way for an absurd and selfish reason. They are the real villain in this drama.
Overall..palace of devotion is a good drama to watch except for people who don't like history. All the casting are great except for female lead. She's not too suited for her role. I don't know why.

Deng Reba

I watch this drama 3 years after it's broadcast. How could I miss this?.. Deng Lun Ashes of Love brought me to this sweet dreams.Pair with dilraba, what can go wrong. For me they have a great chemistry.The story is great. A little bit comedic, Deng Lun as Bo hai always make me smile while I watch this.48 ep.. Yes.. For some it's too long to watch but the combination of DengReba make me stick over and over again.
It's also funny when the storyline has some similarity with Ashes Of Love. Fire immortal Xu Feng is afraid of fire as Bo hai. He also suffered colour blindness like Jin Mi. And flower is also involved.
Overall..this is a good drama to watch.and definitely worth your time.I already watch it many times and never get bored.wish Deng Lun and Dilraba will meet again in other drama. Coz I just love see them together.
