Uh

I knew there was show i was missing in my memory of the chinese shows i watched in 2021. It was this show, the fact that someone forgot about this show tells you all you need to know. It was easy to watch.
Another show were the girl follows the guy she likes to college. The movie was better.
Spend your time watching other shows in this genre.

Why does this show not have a lot of reviews, because it's hard to write 500 characters on this show.

all the cliches

This is my third Chinese drama in this genre, High school --> college--> work, and I've lost count of how many stupid girl, smart boy stories I have read and watched, I like my easy watch to fluff where the girl gets the guy in the end. But at this point, I know it is more of a story where the guy gets the girl. However, this time I didn't actually want the Zuo An to get Xiao Man. We watch Xiao Man grow from a girl that can not pass her test to go on to an amazing career, we watch her grow up, but Zuo An the whole time is just a little boy that does what his parents tell him to do. By the end of story Xiao Man is so much better then Zuo An, the cliche of the guy doesn't deserve the girl 100% fits here. I honestly wish the show would have given a proper chance to Shen, and actually had him and Zuo An compete for xiao man. And even though I was just marathoning to the episode where Zuo An and Xiao Man got together (I still wanted them together at this point) I could have happily watched more of Shen with Mr. Gu

favorite show of 2020

I have spent much of this year watching Chinese dramas, and this is 100% my favorite show of the year. This show going to be in my top 5 dramas for a while. Yes, it had a lot of cliché moments, especially in the first episode but part of getting into a show is seeing a familiar troupe and wondering how these characters are going to handle the situation. As the show went on there were a lot less forced drama cliché’s and more actual moments coming from real life. It might just be my huge crush on Zhao Yi Qin but I finished the last episode wanted about an hour (maybe) then started back at episode 1. I think the only bad thing about this show was watching it right after finishing Meteor Garden and seeing Li JiaQi go from a college student back to a 10th grader and her Li Jiaqi's wig and extensions.
