Dear Santa,
Is it too much to ask for Gong Yoo to be in a wig and sword drama?
And could WDH join him in that uber dark drama?
For Michelle Yeoh? Just keep sending her great scripts. She is practically perfect in every way.
For Ni Ni I hope for strong roles in drama/films and on sites available to me. If you could have them released in 2025, that would be great.
Kdramas---For them to take it easy on the tropes and focus more on tight writing. Not everyone has to have a childhood connection!
Cdramas---For the love of my sanity, please send someone to teach the writers to create badass female leads, who stay badass instead of turning them into damsels in distress or window dressing. No more sad endings unless they are organic to the story and no open endings ever for wig and sword dramas. Also, could we ditch the ridiculous censors and rigid rules. Lighten up already!
Jdramas-Fewer incompetent career women who easily become over emotional, overwhelmed and/or behave childishly.
For all three, remind them that women are about 50% of the population, not 10-30% as they are often represented.
Please make more quality Taiwanese, Filipino, and Thai dramas available on sites I use. For that matter, we need legal sites that have huge inventories of films and dramas going back to silent films. Too many old films and dramas are being lost to time.
Finally, for actors/actresses that get by on their looks, please sign them up for acting classes to show how effective it is to have more than one expression. It's also okay to have a few wrinkles so that the face can move freely to show emotions.
Thanks, Santa!
Sincerely,
The Butterfly
