NOT ANOTHER ADDICTED PLEASE!
Okay...I'm sad, hurt, and pissed off that we have another major cliffhanger ending!!! Whyyyyy tho? There are rumors about a second season, but whyyyyyyy? Was the MAJOR unfinished episode really necessary? It added nothing to the plot and just makes it's fans frustrated. This show had A LOT of potential to be a 10! Cute story, nicely written characters overall, amazing lead chemistry, not toxic like a lot of BLs out there - not that I am complaining lol, but it's always nice to watch a lovely story.
But noooo, they had to crash all hopes (pun intended) and deliver that weird and unfinished ending with no apparent reason! We all have suffered with Addicted before and we all know about Chinese BLs empty promises ??
And the fact that they like to turn our romances into bromances doesn't help us poor viewers at all!! They were almost there lolol omfg I am maaad!
BUT it was a good series! I really enjoyed it and I am definitely hoping season 2 is actually happening because I'll riot!

Amazing...but that ending tho.
Okay, bear with me for a second. I won't take too long...The plot of this BL is fairly "common", it's the famous high school love story - enemies to lovers trope - but with a VERY unfortunate ending that I'm pretty sure got most of us pissed off one way or another. It's okay for endings to be sad, but it's not okay to make us fall in love with Hao Ting and Xi Gu and destroy everything in the last f***ing episode. And for what? What was the point?
I read some other review here that I completely agreed with....it was nothing more than for shock value. I love BLs and have been watching them for a long time....we all know that, unfortunately, there aren't a lot of healthy relationships in the series. Most of them are full of truly problematic depictions of gay couples (of course in rl there are problematic people lol but it would be amazing to also see healthy and happy relationships!!), and that's why the ending of this series pissed me off!!!!
Xi Gu already had such a hard life growing up pretty much by himself, all alone trying his best to be successful in the future. I was so happy Hao Ting came into his life...they were so happy, working hard for their future....starting their lives together. And them here comes the last 5 f***ing minutes of episode 9 to white truck the shit out of everything for us all!!! WHYYYY THO???
To be honest, I knew something like that was going to happen, it was all too good to be true. I just knew it! But I was still so mad of how it all went down after that. The six years time jump to the last episode was also extremely frustrating to me. The gave us NOTHING. ....except for bitterness. How amazing this series would have been if it had ended showing their success? A happy and healthy BL wouldn't have hurt lololol I still think it was a great series, but the ended was such a let down it hurt.
IMPORTANT POINTS:
1. I don't think Sun Bo was toxic per say.....he did make some unfortunate choices but he's a 17 or 18 (maybe?) highly hyperactive guy that was in love for the first time. He clearly lost control a few times but Lu Zhi is a grown man! I have no doubt he could have fight Sun Bo off if he thought it was necessary. Clearly not the case lol.
2. The whole "I'm not gay, just love him" thing....I believe Hao Ting is pansexual. But maybe he isn't really aware of it and just can't describe it better. He only knew he loved Xi Gu more than anyone else, and probably will forever. We don't know if he will in fact love another man, but that was my take from this whole thing.
3. Who the fuck is Phoebe? Where did she come from? We didn't even see her haha why even mention another person? In my mind she was just a friend from University that Hao Ting's parents are using to push the straight agenda. But they did call her a girlfriend....I'm VERY lost haha Chose to ignore the whole thing and throw it on the trash were it belongs hahaha

WHAT DID I JUST WATCH? lolol
What in the low budget porn Twilight is this?? It was a never ending cringe fest filled with horrible acting, god awful writing, and some abysmal plot lololThe worst BL...and series in general.....I've ever seen. It's SO bad that it's kinda funny.
PLOT: The movie starts with Wine's creepy ass smile (you'll see it every 10min or so lolol) as he look obsessively over his "straight" boyfriend Tee. They have sex immediately...and 10 seconds later Tee starts the "it was just sex, I'm not gay" speech. Wine gets into a deep but short-lasting depression. Tee's best friends are a bunch of jocks who decide to humiliate Wine even further by pulling a prank on him. They said Tee regretted his decision to break up and was waiting for him in this creepy abandoned building (oooh come on!!!).
Of course the poor soul waited the entire day and Tee never showed up. He was too busy "having fun" with his friends....ignoring the fact that he is indeed gay. But, when Wine finally decides to give up on waiting after hours, he hears an eerie cry for help. Basically everything in this movie is an obvious DON'T DO IT type of situation......but guess what? They all fucking do it lololol
Wine finds this weird looking dude that is a mix of a Wish version of Edward with a splash of 20s Dracula with the widow's peak. Yeah.....you read it right. And of course the second thing Wine does is let this stranger suck his blood and they fall in love. Like, who wouldn't? lolol And it all goes downhill from there. All the way down....
CHACARTER / ACTING:
- Wine (Fluke) is a basically an obsessed psychotic twink throughout the whole movie. That's his gig. And serving a creepy smile for no good reason. His character is based on his relationship with 3 guys and how far is he willing to go for the sake of "love" (which only lasts a few moments with him lol)
- Night: Our weird vamp that, in the end proves himself to be very ungrateful lol
All the actors were pretty bad in this, not gonna lie. Not even one redeemable thing about this whole movie. If you wanna watch just for the weirdness...have at it. But it is pretty bad lol

Light and cute....don't take it seriously.
This series is from an anime also called Love Stage! I've read the anime years ago and I remember it was cute. Like many yaoi manga, you have to overlook some things that might be a little problematic. However, with this live action it was actually pretty cute! It went better than I expected....was it perfect? No. I wish some actors were better and the dialog had more dept, but it was a fun 10 ep series.PLOT: One of the top actors in Thailand, Ryou, is still in love with this little girl he met 10 years ago while shooting a commercial when he was young. On the a 10th year anniversary of that commercial, he is asked to do another one. Ryou saw as an opportunity to meet the girl of his dream again after a decade. But, little does he know that the little girl...is not a girl at all! Anda, a guy that was born into a famous family, only wants to be a cartoonist...but since he was a kid his parents force him to be in the entertainment business. That's how he met Ryou all those years ago. But, Anda was force to reprise his role of a girl once again...deceiving Ryou one more time. BUUUUUT...that's where the story starts and a lot happens after that lolol.
ACTORS / CHARACTERS: Most of the characters in the live action were written pretty similar to the anime...that was nice to see. I'll only talk about the ones that stood out for me. (this is already long enough lol)
- Anda (Turbo): I guess he's a fairly new actor....I haven't seen him before. He is a tiny little thing lol super cute tho. But I could see he's a newbie. Didn't quite sell the character...in some scenes he was really good, but some it was a little rough. I guess I was a little put off by all those ups and downs.
- Ryou (Kaownah): I've seen his work before in TharnType (Lhong)...it was solid. You won't recognize him here...which is what I love! He knows how to develop a character better and tell a story. I hated Lhong (as we all did) lolol and in Love Stage you can't help but fall in love with him...so yeah. Job well done!
- Ae, Bank's manager: I don't know the actress's name but OMG she was so annoying! It was really bad! She screamed and acted completely insane 95% of her screen time....that was a horrible choice. Why? So so so bad. Probably the worst acting I've even seen lol
Silly but fun. I won't watch again....but some episodes pulled my hart string a little. Cute.

The cutest little ghost love story
Okay....I was pleasantly surprised with this drama!!!! Even though the reviews are mainly positive, I decided to watch without much expectations....and boy was I wrong! Yaaay! Love when that happens. It's a short 8 ep BL that tells the story of a sad forgotten 22 year old ghost that doesn't have any memories of who he was except the way he died. He spends decades in the cemetery watching people visit their loved ones, but he never had a visitor. Never got food offerings nor have any knowledge of his life.
Because of one of the three reasons according to Thai traditions he can't reincarnate, but he doesn't know which one. So, there's nothing left to do but wait. But then, one day a boy (about 10 y.o? maybe a little more? not sure lol) visits the cemetery with his dad and sees this very old and forgotten headstone. He then decides to burn an incense and give him candy.
That was the day our sad little ghost Mes had feelings for Thun - not bf love because he was a child lol but he was the first person in decades that showed him affection - Thus visits Mes a couple of times before disappearing for a few years. They meet again when Thus is in college.
Thus decides to help Mes find out about his life and death in order to help him. Feelings start to develop and we get to watch them fall in love in the cutest and purest way! Adorable! Lets say heartstrings were pulled lololol
The plot was very refreshing, it's not a common BL story at all. I was very happy with the choices made in this drama, however I really wished the dialog was better written and the actors had a little more experience....BUT I still liked it lot! These are the ONLY reasons it wasn't a 10/10 for me. Would recommend!

It's a light romance story with innocent kisses. :)
This drama is super cute! It's definitely on my top 10 BLs...I've watched 3 times already and will probably watch again lololol yeah yeah I'm one of those. The story is about the love between Tine and Sarawat, two college students and their love for music. Tine finds himself in a pickle with another guy that's obsessed over him and goes to the hottest guys on campus (like one naturally does lolol) and askes him to be his fake boyfriend.
At first they don't seem to get along so well, but Tine isn't discouraged and does everything to get Sarawat to help him. Of course there's a lot of development and they fall in love.
It's a sweet love story with funny moments between the main and supporting cast. Most of the plot is around their love and music. There are two other couples ManType and MillPhukong but their story is very superficial. Still cute though!
It's a light romance story with innocent kisses. Definitely worth the watch, specially for those who are getting started in BLs. The actors are very cute and their acting skills are above average for BLs.

A tale of an underdeveloped slow-burner :(
First of all I'd like to start by saying to the people online who put this drama on "spicy" lists...you were wrong for that and I'll never forgive you lolThe rare romantic scenes between Bai Luo Yin and Gu Hai were superficial and a little stiff. But I enjoyed their performances as actors. The plot is very much enemies to lovers/step brothers. But let it be warned, the show ends abruptly after episode 15
because it was banned by Chinese authorities in 2016, so .... yeah...there's that too to add to the misery.
The drama itself isn't bad, but it isn't good either. It's a very slow-burner type of story with not much going on. I had the feeling throughout the show that the dialog and plot weren't really well developed, but it does have its charms. However, the could have done so much more for the plot! A lot of miss opportunities to dig deeper in the story, but it was replaced with a lot of filler moments with awkward silence.
Is it worth the watch? Not really to be honest, unfortunately. If there isn't anything else on...sure, why not. But I was expecting way more because of the reviews I saw online....but now I really don't get the tiny hype. I feel like the censorship in China had a weight in the show's quality. There are so many incredible BLs out there to watch :)
