Background Noise at its finest
Yeah NGL this BL is so mid lol.Blossom Campus, despite the cool name, is nothing special. The plot is as cookie-cutter as a BL could get and doesn't even try to stray away from the formula. Sure this BL was cute and I enjoyed it overall, but I feel like you could go on your phone for a hot minute, look up, and then still get the entire jest of what is going on in any given scene. The one sliver of true drama we get is given to us at the very end of the show before it ends on what I can only call a cliff-hanger.
Honestly only watch if you're bored and want something GAY in the background.

Nothing beats that ending scene
This is a rare 10/10 for me. It may be because Kiyoi and Hira are already in a established relationship that I find myself caring for the two more than I did within the two seasons of the show. But even in just presentation I feel as if the movie outclasses the series exponentially. I like the addition of Kiyoi having a friend besides Hira who he truly cares for, being Anna, and having the movie exclusive villain being her crazed stalker fan. It's a really nice contrast between obsession and love for the characters of Anna's stalker and Hira. I also like how the movie, while still focusing on the relationship between the two male leads, shows that they are indeed separate people, with their own goals and aspirations in life. None of which felt rushed or stumbled to get through, as it was all well-paced and natural. When we were reaching the last thirty minutes of the film and I started to question how Hira would solve his main dilemma of the film of not feeling like taking pictures of anything. But as soon as the idea had popped into my mind the film was able to solve it surprisingly well with less time than it took me to write this review. The cinematography is also absolutely STUNNING in this film. The last twenty minutes or so will forever be engraved within my mind. As it calls back to their school days within the series while still reminding us about how far they've come within the present. Playfighting with the school water hose and running around classroom desk. And despite the amount of cherry blossom petals being absolute ridiculous, it just made the scene even more incredibly beautiful. The cherry on top being the fantastic music playing throughout. All in all, an exceptional scene that felt fulfilling and in my opinion, perfectly concluded the series. This probably goes without saying but I would suggest watching the first two seasons of the show before watching this film, as I feel like the experience would be a lot more rewarding. Even if you may have dropped the series. Its far beyond worth it.

Really slow start, but totally worth it
Like others might say about DNA Says Love you, the beginning of the series is extremely slow and honestly the first episode, if not the first two episodes are completely skippable. Since they mostly drag on and add no real substance to the plot or characters aside from establishing the childhood friend Wen Wen and that the main character is essentially a YouTuber. The only other flaw I could really say about this show was that the side couple felt both rushed and forced with their mini arch within the series. However, its after the slow beginning that the series really starts to pick it up. Not only is the "twist" behind who Amber really is and why they've been away for so long extremely unique, but it helps to add real depth and heavy stakes with how they interact with their old childhood friends. It's not just Amber themselves who shine in this BL. All of the characters each have their own moment in the spotlight. Their relationships with one another seeming only the most of genuine and heartfelt, and only the most endearing. Even Yu He as a female character has a small arch of growth when she gets over her feelings for Le. Something I feel lacks in many BL shows as these female characters tend to fall into the mad with jealousy trope.
DNA Says Love You is not only strong with its characters but its plot and directing as well. With what has to be one of my favorite scenes in any form of media being the park scene. Where both Le and Yu He, now grown adults, ask a ten years older and now male Wen Wen/Amber to take their picture on a see-saw not recognizing them. The way Amber begins to break down after, confirming that it would be basically impossible for them to have the friendship they once did with their old friends will always pull at my heartstrings when I think about it. The music in the scene as well is absolutely phenomenal and did not help to stop the waterworks.
Overall, I would most definitely recommend DNA Says Love You to anyone who values a slow burn and is willing to wait out the boring parts at the beginning for an exceptional story to begin around midway through. And especially for those who enjoy the childhood friends trope but are looking for something new/different and an added twist.

Nothing Really Happens
It was cute for a moment, but only a moment. The entire series felt padded and fluffed out for no real good reason. Every scene with the side couple was of just them crying over the same thing again and again. And even Pop and Oat not really developing their relationship past Pop realizing he MIGHT have feelings for Oat was so infuriating. Overall it felt as if all of the storylines could have been solved/finished well within the 20 episodes given. Instead, to see said plotlines conclude we have to watch the sequel series Final Call. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the dramatic elements of the show while I was watching but ended up totally skipping through the side couples plot and wanting Pop and Oat's to rush along already. I most definitely won't be rewatching this again, or the second season/series for that matter. So unless you're REALLY in the mood for a goofy/light-hearted toned BL series, I'd skip. Seeing as there's way more BL that do far greater and better with far less time than this series. Was this review helpful to you?
Simple and Clean
This is pretty much your cookie cutter separated childhood friends to reunited lovers trope. Youthful misunderstandings and all. Now with that being said I truly really did like this series, and not because I'm such a sucker for this specific trope itself. But the chemistry and cinematography of the show are excellent in my opinion and while the story isn't groundbreaking its still done with a coherent plot progression that many similar BL struggle to maintain. The eight episode runtime especially helps this show go at a comfortable pace without feeling too rushed or long. My only complaint with progression in the series is how the side couple isn't really that developed. But just a small gripe since its truly the main couple that grabs your attention throughout the series, so perhaps it truly is for the betterment of the viewer it turned out that way. My favorite scene is the one where both the leads have their first intimate moment with each other. Extremely romantic and tasteful with My Beautiful Man Eternal vibes. Solid 8/10 for me.Was this review helpful to you?

A BL fans dream come true
Ok for real though imagine getting to fall in love with your favorite BL actor? Ahh, one can wish... BUT I GUESS WE CAN'T ALL BE AS LUCKY AS PUNN.Ok so I won't lie I remember watching this a couple years back when I wasn't really into BL as much and dropping it IMMEDIATLEY. But now that I've seen more than my fair share of BLs and still crave for more, I decided to give this one another chance and it honestly didn't disappoint. The story of an obsessive fan falling in love with his idol is a pretty interesting premise and honestly really cute. I like how realistic it was, with Punn not really being noticed in the beginning with his efforts, but eventually with hard work and determination, and a handful of luck. Punn was able to win Ashi's heart. Which boy, does he win his heart alright. The chemistry between Punn an Ashi is probably my favorite part of the series with such adorable demeanors with each other and super romantic love scenes. That and Sompriao being the best BL villain, honesty I loved their campy performance as the opposing media star agent, and how she was always trying to get at the main characters one way or another.
Sadly the same can't be said for the side couple. Mingmueang and the doctor were kind of boring to me, and I didn't really care for their spicy scenes the same way I did for Punn and Ashi's. They genuinely felt like an afterthought when compared to the other couple. My one MAJOR gripe with this BL however, is the cliche, we have to breakup and get back together last minute trope. It's what ruined The Last Twilight for me and it definitely didn't do Be Mine Superstar any favors. Especially with how slow the last two episodes felt because of it. Felt so tired and redundant. At least here the reasoning behind it is a bit more understandable but it did feel like the writers were just filling in the BL Bingo card. I also wanted to mention that throughout the show there is a certain sense of, something just being off.
Overall this BL is a 6/10. I would suggest it for someone looking for a BL with a unique plot and charismatic main couple, even if the quality/writing isn't the best. And if they don't mind a subpar side couple.

It Gives, But at What Cost?
Honestly I found myself being annoyed more than anything. Like I understand that this is a BL and all of them are kind of camp, but if Kiyoi treated me the same way he treats Hira? Absolutely not. It gets to the point where Hira straight up felt like a masochist for the entirety of the show. Even leaving the second love interest, who seemed like a much better healthier option for him, for Kiyoi. Who he wasn't sure like/loved him enough to be in a relationship with him. It was also annoying with how long it took Kiyoi to realize his true feelings for Hira, even when they had been graduated from high school and he had more than enough time to process his feelings. Like, I love me a good toxic relationship as much as the next BL fujoshi, but this BL just felt straight up mean-spirited at points. But I mean, if they like it I love it, more power to the two of them. Either way, if you find yourself struggling to get into this BL because of the weird relationship between the two male leads, I would suggest straying away/dropping it. As their relationship doesn't really get better until late season 2/the movie. There are a lot of positives to the BL though. One being the very unique set up. Despite being a school BL and mostly set during school hours. A lot of the show feels different and never seen before. The cinematography and music was also pretty nice and I started listening to the OST on my own time. Not something I do with just any BL music. The other positives of this BL are how Hira and Kiyoi both have a clear goal/hobby that will be developed later in the second season and movie. The writers clearly knew how and when they would develop these character traits and skills. A nice payoff when you come back to season one and see how far they've come not only in their relationship, but careers as well.
Overall, I give it a 6/10. This is most definitely a personal problem though, as I just don't really find myself caring for Hira and Kiyoi to fall in love. I just never experience that butterflies in my stomach sensation within the first season and that's pretty much all I ask for within a BL. However I do appreciate everything this BL has to offer and suggest that anyone interested in it gives it an earnest watch with an open mind.

Ain't no way they ended this on a cliffhanger
Honestly I don't even want to talk about it because this show has already wasted enough of my time. and I don't want to waste any of yours. Do not watch this show. There, if you want to know the reasons why, then you may continue reading at your own accord.First lets start with the most obvious and glaring issue. The shoestring budget this series had. Now don't get me wrong, BLs with small budgets are my bread and butter. But at least many of those shows have charming characters and a coherent plot for me to follow along with. Time, has none. While this show technically has four couples, only two are developed on and the other two are left as complete afterthoughts. Not that the first two couples have much chemistry or likeability to them anyways. With absolutely zero chemistry and unnecessary sex scenes that drag on for, not even joking, at least five minutes every time. And unlike The Sign and Be Mine Superstar, I was sat waiting and praying for it to be over and move on with the plot.
Which doesn't exist. The boring plot that feels like it has every part of it taken right out of the writer's ass. "Yeah sure, the main couple were childhood friends!" or " Yeah we'll have the rich guy's mom come to the rescue last minute!" The characters also constantly talked about a shady and suspect man whose the leader of the black market or web or something, honestly forgot already. And its only in the end its revealed that one of the main characters is actually working for him, despite him not having been shown or hinted about said association? Which gave me the most second hand embarrassment. As if this show of all things is going to get a second season. Real Hit Bite Love energy with that final scene.
Overall I'm so over this confusing, boring, and messy show. I genuinely wish I had never watched this series and spent my time doing literally anyone else.

Pretty privilege at it's finest.
I honestly could not tell you. I watched this BL around half a year ago I would like to say, and the only thing I could remember from it was one semi-romantic scene on a motorbike and the rest is hiding somewhere in the sofa cracks of my mind. I don't remember the acting being anything to write home about either. Basically what I'm trying to say is that you should only watch this BL if you have no other decent options and just want to watch A BL with no expectations or hopes. Was this review helpful to you?

"Its a continuation of Leon and Pobs story." Ohhh so close, its actually not that at all!
Literally why would you even so much as have the side couple present if you're not even gonna do anything with them? I don't understand why the special episode would even set this reunion up in the beginning if they knew nothing was going to come out of it. It deadass happens three times in the episode where they're thissss close to meeting each other again but then don't. Leo and Fiat already got a whole other special episode to themselves so why they felt the need to have this one focused so heavily on them again is beyond me. Its not like I even prefer the side couple over the main one, it just felt really scummy and weird how shafted and sidelined the side couple was this entire episode. And then teasing the viewer with "Oh there's a chance they might meet up for real this time. Just kidding!" Honestly I already wasn't the biggest fan of Don't Say No, especially compared to Be Mine Superstar. Anyways never touching this show again goodnightWas this review helpful to you?
Cute with a little bit of toxic
You are Mine is a cute and relatively short BL. I watched it due to it being on a toxic BL list but in reality it's not much more toxic than your average BL couple. The top is a little pushy and overexerts himself by pushing the bottom's boundaries. But what kind of BL doesn't really have that? That being said though, overall this BL was really cute. It clearly doesn't really take itself seriously and is a short enough series not to overstay it's welcome. The only thing I didn't really like was how abrupt the ending felt. I remember going "Oh okay I guess it's over." But that's probably my only major gripe with the series. As the rest of it is filled with punchy comedy and enjoyable drama. Definitely worth a watch, even if it doesn't seem like something you'd usually go for.

A good laugh through and through
Don't get me wrong, the second movie in this cancelled duology was a lot more intriguing and had better more fleshed out drama. However, that helicopter plane crash ending took me out. I watched these movies just because I heard they were toxic and for ten wonderfully horrid minutes, it was and I couldn't have asked for more. That being said I can't in good faith recommend this over any other series or even films that have well more thought out characters and story. As besides the R18 scenes, which aren't even all that crazy when taken out of context, the second movie still doesn't really do anything too unique for me.Was this review helpful to you?
Nothing new, nothing changed, same old, same old
Honestly while this BL film gets points for trying, I really can't say that it did much at all, if anything with it's plot. Basically your basic, two boys don't kiss each other type of melodrama with the main couple's parents. Only watched this because I was in the mood for something messy and toxic but didn't even receive that with the main couple besides some SA. And even that was played lightly and brushed off. Honestly really uneventful and something I've seen a million times before. Hopefully part two of this duology of films hits harder. Was this review helpful to you?

Nothing that hasn't been done before but still sweet
Two Worlds in of itself actually doesn't have THAT unique of a plot. We've seen the son of a gangster trope countless times. Not to mention the world/time traversing trope isn't becoming that uncommon. Like with Memory in the Letter or Time the series. (Which is awful, do not watch Time.) However what does make Two Worlds stand out from the rest is the fact that with time, interaction, and explanation, the other side characters begin to gain their memories from the other world as well. Which I feel was it's strongest aspect. As it involves the side characters more, since they also have personal feelings attached to Khram despite not interacting with him in the second world and even in some cases, are dead themselves in the first. That being said, despite this extremely well done twist with this trope, the rest of the series is kind of meh in my opinion. While I did enjoy the more intimate scenes, I feel like they were a little played out and randomly inserted as filler space for any given episode at a time. Once again, the all too well worn out trope of the gangster's son didn't really bring out anything new to the table or was all that interesting. Sure it brought about drama but the anti-climatic ending of Thai's father only executing himself wasn't very satisfying. And as soon as that happens it feels like that entire plotline of Thai being the new boss of the gang is just kind of dropped.
Another really big gripe with me was the first world's Thai Who gets bitten by a snake and dies... Just before the second world's Thai arrives. Don't get me wrong I'm glad it ended up that way but it was so out of left field that it was pretty hard to take it as anything but a last minute cop-out of "Oh well there can't be two of these mfs walking around."
Overall though this is definitely worth a watch, was able to go through all ten episodes in a single day and enjoyed myself enough to do that. I would suggest this BL to someone who likes plenty of spicy scenes and doesn't mind some questionable logic of characters or happening coincidences to move the plot along.

I've seen this movie 100 times already
After Sundown is so cookie-cutter with many, many, MANY played out BL tropes. From forbidden gay love between master and servant to childhood friends who have only met once and yet fell in love. Since it's only an hour and forty minute film, I don't mind the sudden shift between enemies to lovers. What I do mind is that it is addressed ONCE in the film with a necklace and a single flashback. A personal pet peeve of mind in BL, since I find the trope of childhood friends who met once in their lifetimes lazy and a cop out for why our male leads fall in love with one another. Same goes for the forbidden love between master and servant, I love Never Let Me Go but I didn't even really care for it in their Our Sky 2 episodes either. The only semi-interesting plot point about this film is the dead grandmother's ghost cursing Rawi (NuNew). Since she was jealous of the gay love of her husband who was forced to marry her. Again, a lazy boring trope that brings nothing to the table. The half assed side couple was also embarrassing to watch, they actually only got a single scene and were completely pushed to the side after. Like? Okay? I understand we're supposed to assume that they end up together cause BL Side Couple Law says so. But still, kind of hard to care about characters that the movie doesn't even bother with for more than a couple minutes of screentime.
The only compliment I can give this movie is production and scene quality, and of course ZeeNuNew, (The reason I watched this in the first place). Despite not particularly liking the setting I could appreciate the work and detail put into it. Both the scenery and clothing were appealing to look at and ZeeNuNew's chemistry kept me somewhat interested in the film.
But unless you're a big fan of ZeeNuNew and don't mind a very safe and boring film, I cannot recommend this movie.
