Doormat of an FL
After watching this have to say that the character of the FL is written to be a doormat with no spine and no brains too. Imagine going to meet a psychopath by yourself with no fighting skills or any strategy because she wants to catch him….oh lord and what’s with the childish high pitched voice and infantile mannerisms can’t believe that Netflix picked up this garbage of a script and is planning to increase monthly subscriptions too so that we can watch such incoherent stories ! The script was all over the place and most of the characters like the vile bitchy co workers and the ML’s father were so infuriating that I ended up forwarding anytime they appeared onscreen. Only saving grace was the hunky ML for his visuals . Car crash of a series! Watch at your own risk. Was this review helpful to you?
The best drama of 2023 for me!
I loved this one! The story drew me in from the get go. And I watched it as it was airing…waiting for each episode to drop. Both the leads were phenomenal, the supporting cast was stellar and the story was gripping. The chemistry between the leads was fire. Zhang Linghe was absolutely swoon worthy with his burning gaze and his barely suppressed jealousy! Just wow. Only gripe I had was with the weird lighting and the odd placement of spotlights which was annoying! Highly recommended if you like a mature and passionate romance between two broken people with trauma! Was this review helpful to you?
Dropped it as the female lead was unbearable and stupid
My god I signed up just to give this drama 1 star…am so irritated after watching this tedious and unrealistic drama that I have to vent…coming from an Asian background myself I find the female lead to be the most unrealistic portrayal of a mature working woman…she is supposedly good at her job but makes such monumental mistakes that u want to reach thru the screen and bash her….no woman even one from a so called conservative society would react in such a passive manner…show her to be a doormat at work too then a huge failure because no sane person and I stress no sane person whether man woman or any other gender would be capable of functioning in today’s society…terrible script with unlikely scenarios and decisions thrown in just to create tension and continue the tedious plot line….dropped it for the steaming pile of waste that the writer regurgitated !!! And please no excuses about how conservative Korean society is to make up for the wafer thin plot as I too come from a patriarchal ultra conservative society and know that no career woman from a so called educated urban background would make the harebrained choices that the FL makes ….Baah dropped it out of sheer frustration and a savage desire to beat the living daylights out of the FL…crap and lazy writing shame on the author…minus stars if possibleWas this review helpful to you?

A snoozefest! Watch if you have insomnia !
I started this series because I liked the FL in Word of Honour where she played a spunky and bratty character. And Tan Jianci was great in Lost you forever. Now I have a great tolerance for fluffy romances but this one was terrible. Very boring and bland characters and no story like zilch nada. Nothing happens. The FL got on my nerves with her asthmatic voice and annoying gasps while speaking. She was a stereotypical pathetic female lead who exists solely to moon over an unrealistic glorified male lead. The ML was borderline creepy as he hit on a child like FL with no brains character or any kind of personality. It just turned me off and frankly I could not bear to see them together as it looked like a grown ass man dating a child. I dropped it after a few episodes and it put me to sleep. I watch dramas for some passion, growth and at least some kind of excitement but this was a veritable sooozefest. Both of the leads were terrible and the supporting cast were just cheerleaders for the main leads with no redeeming arcs! Baah waste of my time! Was this review helpful to you?
