I must applaud Kazue Fukiishi's performance in this episode. The spurned potential daughter-in-law shows her mettle when confronting Yasu for the right to be Akira's future wife. The confrontation is comical, but each parties determination shines thorough. Ultimately, its the interference of the villagers and people closest to Akira and Yasu who help resolve matters. As the saying goes... "it takes a village to raise a child" and, to me, that has been the foundation of this drama.
Yasu is under the assumption that Akira should have chosen a woman that was similar to his mother; however, in my opinion, Akira chose a woman who is just as dogged, yet as loving as his father. The episode has a charming ending.
Oh no!!!! Just one more episode and this endearing drama is done. A bittersweet climax.

There is so much emotion and passion in this episode that I have co to love this drama even more (if that's possible). Onnce again, Masaaki Uchino gives ob hell of a performance, there is no way you cannot connect with his character. His outlook on life takes the complicated and makes it simple. I envy his direct approach to everything, but I would never label him a simpleton (in which he refers to himself). Despite their differences, Akira possesses his father's compassion and is able to come to terms with recent revelations.
This one is a tear-jerker, so have the box of tissues ready.

Although in past episodes we've seen glimpses of humanity from the unrelenting Det. Togashi, just seeing what occurred with his wife gives much insight into why has become the vigilante of law enforcement. Reiko's relationship continues on a downward spiral; however, it finally takes a a sharp turn, forcing the only female detective in the group to analyze her heart and her morals. Kosuke Suzuki (Det. Shibata) is a loose cannon in any role he plays; will he end up a turncoat or will he remain loyal to the team?
Very exciting episode with an ending that leaves you wondering the fate of each detective in the Fourth Division. After incurring the wrath of one of their own, does this team have what it takes to bring them to justice?

This series is abut a hospital combined with a school where children enroll and medical care is provided for their terminal illness. In this episode,a young Kurokawa Tomoka plays a teenage girl (Kaori) suffering from 'aplastic anemia'. It shows a young woman facing issues of death, first love, a non-supportive parent, how the world responds to her and how she responds to the world. As soon as Kaori seems to find answers, the disease reaches a critical stages and she ends up fighting for her life.
Unfortunately, this episodes ends with a climatic cliffhanger; will Kaori make it to episode 10? We can only hope.
