Romantic Armor

In this episode , I see Ji An in the same light as the theme to her collaboration project, "Romantic Armor". Just as 'amrita828', I watched the RAW version. With the intense acting and emotions portrayed, Subs were not necessary. Each episode, Tae Gang gets more endearing and lovable, but also more persistent and resilient. He has broken through Ji An's armor and revealed her more caring attributes. The end of this episode is something I've been waiting for since finding out about the pregnancy. I plan to have tissue right next to me for episode 15, as I could feel the tears starting at the end of this episode. Whatever happens now, I believe both these individuals will overcome whatever comes their way.

Haeng un eur bir eo yo!!

"Loose Lips , Sinks Ships"

Ah... the glory of alcohol! Its affects will bring the most subtle truths to the surface, it doesn't matter if its in a crowded room and it makes an awesome cliff hanger. "You were my first!"; Tae Kang's drunken confession was so sweet. I cant wait to hear Ji An's counter.

Excellent Intro

The meeting between Kensuke & Machiko set the tone for the first episode. Verbal sparring, between lawyers, on an intellectual level is stimulating and it only gets better throughout the remaining episode. The first case was climatic, but it left me wondering. Sakai Masato is excellent in a comedic role and the other characters are complimentary to his role egotistical role. Aragaki Yui will have her hands full, but... "Ganbatte!!!"

Captured My Attention

Great opening to this historical drama! It jumps right into an a fight sequence and I was sold from that point.

What intrigues me the most, is the circumstances that led up to the killings. How can a king appear so powerless? Once again, revenge is the name of the game and the longer it takes, the more intense the long awaited moment. I'm looking forward to traveling the path of young Ddol Bok and the events that led him to take such measures. I think it will be an interesting 24 episodes.

THE MOMENT OF TRUTH!!!

This is how it started in episode 1and episode 16 just brought it all back.During his time in Korea, Vincenzo has found his estranged mother, embraced his birth culture, made friends, and learned love, compassion, and empathy. Through all the joys, laughter, and comedic moments, the beast inside has not been tamed. The code of a true mafioso, you mess with what's mine - you die, and Babel is damned. I'm so looking forward to the next episode; this is going to be the longest week of my life.

Plot Revelations

Nice action this episode, and the dropped hints connecting So Moon and Ga Mo Tak have my mind spinning. Just about every watcher can determine what occurred in the past and where this is headed. However, it won't stop us from delving deeper, wanting to see how it all plays out. Both Moon and Tak are going against the rules of the 'Counters'; Moon is using his newfound powers outside of demon hunting and Mo Tak's trying to regain his memories. Both are acting in the name of justice, but at what price for breaking the rules? Can hardly wait for next week's episode. Although labeled a comedy, this drama is pretty deep.

Captivating

What an opening!!! Family dramas are indeed my weakness and the first episode had me oohing, awing and clutching my heart.

I must say, Massaki Uchino shines in his role as Akira's dad. He is truly a talented and vibrant actor, which is evident in this portrayal of an orphan father raising his own son. Takako Tokiwa, who portrays Akira's mother, seemeingly has a short role, but she left a lasting impression. As wife and mother, she was the strength, support and backbone of the two prominent men in her short life.

Very intense, yet funny drama; it was love at first watch.

Kurosaki's Return

OMG! So much going on in this episode, but the highlight for me was seeing Shunichi Kurosaki appear and a grand entrance it was. I so enjoyed him in the first season and wasn't sure about the second. As always, there is so much intrigue and when you think things are going a certain way, here comes that curve ball. That's what the Hanzawa series is all about. Another great cast, I'm really feeling Moriyama's character. And it's good to see Hana back and Owada. Kagawa is a seasoned actor, same as Sakai and it's so good to see him play bad.

Right out the Gate

As the headline implies, the first episode pulls no punches for bankers and the world of finance. It waste no time getting to the nitty-gritty behind the scenes and how money is manipulated through the system. The first episode of the first season did the same; it didn't allow you time to wade in the water, but threw you in at the deep end of the pool. And, once again, Masato Sakai captivates you with his reprisal of Naoki Hanzawa (I've loved this guy since the "Shinsengumi" series). One of the best seasoned actors in Japan.Looking forward to episode 2 and the rest.

A Grand Opening!

The first episode usually sets the tone for the entire series of any drama, and I can tell with "Flowers of Evil" we are in for one helluva ride. A seemingly happy family - husband, wife, cute kid, and yet the husband harbors a dark past. There are no hints thrown out to soften the blows; the gloves are off and all is laid bare in the first episode. The shady hubby has emerged as the antagonist, who has created and leads a pseudo happy family life for himself. However, his wife is loving and oblivious, although she seems to be a capable detective and I foresee the two pitted against each other as this drama progresses.

Chaotic Intro

A tragedy occurs within 30 seconds of the first episode and then we're hit again another 3 minutes later. A major catfight breaks out 4 minutes after that; Whoa!!! All this in the first 10 minutes of the episode and it just keeps coming, it does not stop there. That was enough to get me hooked. Looking forward to the rest.

Spoiled Glutton

Only on episode 2, but I must say I find the main character, Meiko, to be a spoiled glutton. Her father owns a Western-type restaurant, so she's much better off than most during the period, and yet she steals food, not because she's hungry, but because she's greedy.

Meiko's mother punishes her and yet the grandmother indulges the child's greed. The lack of discipline is throwing off my pleasure for this drama, but I will continue hoping this child will soon learn the error of her ways. The opening of episode 1 gives me hope.

Anime Justice

I have to admit I was dubious about bringing this anime favorite to the screen; however, after the first episode, I worried needlessly.

The series has an interesting cast; as always I am impressed with Ayase's performance, which is a tribute to the anime version of Balsa, The fight scenes in the first episode alone had me on the edge of my seat. If this is anything to look forward to in future episodes, I am game.

There are slight variations to the anime, but so light you barely notice it (unless you've watched it more than six times - like me). The actress portraying Chagum's mother was impressive; the conversation between her and Balsa, a mother demanding, expecting, requesting and then finally hiring a body guard to save her son, was the best dialogue.

Overall, the first episode was aces for me, and I'll be impatiently waiting every week for an episode release. Rating 10/10

Evil Resurfaces!!!

Thirst in the Sahara can't match the thirst for revenge in this episode.

Victim turns Prey is always interesting. However, based on the circumstances, I am not feeling the sympathy. Our protagonist discovers his good deeds have only served to create a monster in the makings. Will power and prestige win over justice and morality? We'll just have to wait and see.

Felt Good Getting Let Down

This episode was a roller coaster ride of anticipation. However, the ride was too short and we drifted into the station.

I finally thought something was going to blossom between Mitamura and Akiyama. I knew they both would fight it ; Yukio is just too cool to show signs of jealousy and Kyoko is just too stubborn to toss passion to the wind. But... those two had me going this time and... all for a big let down. Seriously... I couldn't even be mad or disappointed. I could only laugh at how I actually psyched myself up. Great job writers!!!!

Regardless of how this ended, I believe Akiyama's mom, the teachings of Buddha and a close call with health issues had a big impact on the President. Ahh.... I so hate that this is ending.
