I quite liked it, it definitely deserves the hype.
I liked the acting (except Fluke, he was again painful to watch). I also like the dynamic of the gang & the bromance between the brothers. Whitesean was pretty cute, had good chemistry and dynamic, the relationship felt wholesome. I would have loved yokdan more (a cute love at first sight story), if Dan's character would have been played correctly...I like the social criticism aspect and the message the story delivered, especially since it's about Thailand, one of the highly corrupt countries.
I wouldn't say that the series is perfect, but definitely good and worth watching.

Don't watch it, if you are new to bl series - Sets a high bar for bl series
One of the biggest mistake I've done is to watch Semantic error, To my Star and Bad buddy as my first, second and fourth bl series (anime excluded). They set the bar for bl series sooo high, that I couldn't enjoy the other series that much with we best love - no.1 for you being the huge exception! One thing I really love about bad buddy is that the couple doesn't turn boring after starting to date, which is a problem for many romance series in general. The dynamic between both characters is great, like how they tease each other, but also care for each other, overall a very balanced couple. And yes, they had overly cringy scenes, but many of them were so cute that my heart started to melt! And the actor had great chemistry together, you can't help but fall for this couple.
Another point that I love is they don't have "the girl in the relationship" thing. Even though I don't mind obvious semes and ukes (though sekes being the best), I hate it, when the ukes are shown as females. This series skips that and makes them a versatile couple, like what more could you ask for?!
I also like how they ended the series as them being in a hidden relationship, instead of solving the whole enemy thing in a rushed manner, it leaves the window open for a season 2.
This series is not perfect, like the whole project stuff was solved in a speed that's impossible in real life. But luckily they didn't focus on the projects themselves but used them merely as plot drivers. But it's soooo wholesome, that you end up falling for the series!

After watching 20th century girl and seeing all the Ryu Shio edits, I was quite intrigued to watch this series, but decided not to due to all the negative comments. But now that I have watched Lovely runner, I decided to give it a try for Byeon Woo Seok. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it, even for him!Why did I drop after ep 8 (+ep 9 only Ryu Shio scenes)?
- FL: I believe they wanted to make the FL innocent and naive, but she ended up being a 6-year old child in an adult body. At first I found her cute, but then when the whole spy thing started, she was just dumb! Someone mentioned that this series audience are kids, and that's really true! Who would hold a watch with hidden camera like that? And why didn't the cops give her any instructions regarding the computer, usually in movies they put an USB stick into the computer to get access, but here she is stealing the whole computer... I think it's supposed to be funny, but it just felt stupid.
It's so sad, she could have been a very cool & cute character...
- ML: The actor is cute, but character is very bland, boring and uncharming. Also he didn't have any chemistry with the FL. The romance didn't really make sense to me, like how & why did he fall in love with her?
- FL's Mother: It would have been great to show that she succeeded as a hero & businesswoman, but as a failed mother (not sure if that happens later in the drama), that would add more complexity to her character. And then we could have seen her redeeming herself.
- Villain: Him verifying FL's identity and ML being able to hide voice recorders in the building was very sloppy for someone who was part of Russian mafia. He also wasn't as cold as I expected him to be. However I didn't watch the whole series, so maybe after watching the whole drama it would make sense...
As for the rest: I didn't care about the grandma at all (was kind of expecting her boyfriend to be an enemy, but read somewhere that that wasn't the case). I was disappointed that FL's brother and uncle were very weak and had nothing to themselves than being "ill". At least her father showed some kind of character...
So, overall this series is not good imo (even w/o the comparison with Do Bong Soon). It failed to capture me. I'm actually a sucker for cute FL, but it has to be done right, which this series couldn't. I fail to see the good points of this series...

Cute, light, innocent and hilarious!
I really liked it! I really loved my ass of and had many second hand embarrassment. The characters great: Aoki is so cute, hilarious and precious, must be protected at all cost. Ida is very handsome, earnest and adorable. Hashimoto is really cute best-girl. I really like her friendship with aoki.
When they thought, they both liked the same guy, she supported aoki and told him they were rivals. Some might have taken their gender to their advantage, but she saw aoki on the equal ground and assured him that he wasn't weird. It's so cute, that they are so similar yet so different from each other and support each other.
Ida is such a great guy! At a confession from another guy, others are usually disgusted or are mean, but he earnestly responded him and gave it a serious thought. It was beautiful to see him develop his feelings for aoki and realising them. He is totally the "I got your back " type of boyfriend.
Aoki is sooo cute and kind and has a very silly side. He was selflessly supporting his crush to get her crush and playing the Cinderella. And he was sooo adorable, when he started to fall for Ida, like who could blame him! Even though he is a little bit of a coward, he is pretty straightforward, like when he confessed to Hashimoto that he liked her crush and couldn't support her wholeheartedly. His silly side makes him so hilarious, but also very precious.
Both Aoki and Ida deserve each other. Even with almost no physical touch, they grmy heart to flatter.
I'm really glad that I gave it a try!

Disappointment
Tbh I got sooo disappointed, that I even dropped the series after ep 12. One of the reasons might be, that I read a few chapters of this story's manga a while back and fell in love with the character designs. Even though the actors have mostly the same hairstyle as their characters in the manga, I wasn't as charmed by the actors as I was by the manga characters, unfortunately. One of the main reasons why I dropped this series, is bc of the acting. For me it felt stiff & forced and wasn't really convincing. I didn't even feel sad, when they cried. Especially Dean was very painful to watch, I didn't like his acting at all unfortunately...
I also didn't feel any chemistry between the In & Korn or Pharm & Dean, which is essential for me, when the acting is lacking. I hoped they would have a better chemistry with the time, but wasn't really the case...
I liked the acting of Win & Team much more and imo they had much more chemistry. They were really cute and weren't as forced or cringy as the other couples. But who knows, maybe I'm biased here ??♀️
And the product placement, especially for the make up was getting far too much, that it even distracted me...

I don't understand the hype
As all of us know it's a cliché poor FL x rich ML story. But I've read that it's well done and fun to watch (I mean currently the MDL rating is 8.8), so I did have a certain expectation, even if it wasn't much. And yes, I was disappointed. To be exact, it's the main characters that disappointed me the most.Characters
I don't know what's likable about the ML except his appearance (he's hella cute with his hair down!). I usually don't like flawless characters, since perfection makes them often inhuman & less charming, which is also the case here imo. He was cliché jealous, was throwing his money every way possible to show his love, has the cliché trauma, that almost nobody knows about, doesn't try to really understand the FL and bulldozes his way through to get the FL, etc. I really don't see his charming points...
As for the FL, she is fun to watch, but felt very flat. She is just your typical romcom kdrama FL. I would have liked to see more of her passion for food, that would have added more to her character instead her job was used merely as a connection to ML. Wasted potential...
I first liked the 2nd FL, but as time passed, she got annoying, especially after they started dating. I think her behaviour as a girlfriend was supposed to be funny, but for me that wasn't the case at all...
2nd ML was neither good nor bad. His appearance was fine of course ?
Romance
2nd couple's encounter was well done and how they got closer was good imo.
What felt meh, was the main couple's story: The rich ML falls in love with the unique FL. It wasn't well executed imo. It had funny parts, but I think it could have been better. And as I have understood, FL doesn't really like the ML, but rather what he does for her in the name of love, which is mainly throwing around money.
When I watched this, I was reminded of What's wrong with secretary Kim, since both of series have similar ML (character & appearance) & both fall in love with their employees. I didn't like WWWSK much, since I didn't really understand how she fell in love with him, but I have to say it was better than Business proposal...
If you like this trope and don't need a deep character or story, you might like it a lot, otherwise it's not worth it imo.

For Bromance Suckers
It's bromance for me! It reminded me of Ling Yao and Greed from Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. From enemies to sworn brothers! 100/100 for the bromance.LDW was good, as expected, but I was seriously surprised by WHJ. I only saw him act as serious characters, but here he was pretty goofy and did a very good job. I think he stole everyone's heart here. With no doubt my fav character of this show.
My second fav character wouldbe the mother! She is sooo loving and caring, definitely one of the best moms. And the relationship between her and soo yeol was sooo touching.
The relationship between soo yell and the doctor was hilarious, I enjoyed their scenes a lot.
But aside from these points, the series was pretty average, if not below. The crime part was too predictable, they could have tried to make the villains less obvious. And the romance was sooo out of place, it would have been much better, if they were (best) friends, frenemies or remained exes.
Overall it was a fun, bromance focused and crime related series. If you are looking for a Good cop/crime story, this isn't for you. This is more meant to be as a fun series.

Badass girls & Karma!
Actually I've never intended to write any reviews, because I'm too lazy. But the score and reviews are so bad, this movie didn't deserve it! So here comes my first ever review:First of all, the only common things of Train to Busan and Peninsula are how the zombies are defined and that it's in Korea, so I'd recommend you to watch it as a seperate movie instead as part 2 of Train to Busan.
I really liked the acting of the actors and even more the action! The zombies were cool, it has good horror moments & a lot of "car race fights" that really hooked me up! Unfortunatly I couldn't watch the movie in Korean in 4D in my country, 4D was only for the dubbed version available. So if you have the opportunity, then watch it in 4D, I think it's worth it!
The moral of the movie is karma, so (almost) everyone gets what they deserve. I really highly recommend it, especially if you like zombies or car races!
Btw the women in this movie are deadass queens, just slaying everything! For me they were the highlight of it!

I'm sad that I got disappointed...
Maxtul is known as the Kings of BL, so I was expecting sth (not much though), when I started with this series, my first Maxtul show. Idk if it's bc this is not romance focused, but I didn't feel much of their chemistry unfortunately... Honestly in the first 2-3 ep I felt a lot of good tension between them, but later on not much, or rather nothing... I will make sure to watch Tomorrow with you to give myself a chance to like Maxtul...Aside from Maxtul chemistry, I also had some expectations for the story (again not very high), since I've read a lot of good comments. I got a little disappointed, there were some plot holes and much of the story was predictable (but it also had some very good plot twists), so I wasn't very impressed. Maybe bc I have already watched Not me, another BL series, that doesn't mainly focus on romance, so this wasn't really sth new for me.
The 2nd last scene was predictable for me as well & tbh I cringed a lot...
Nevertheless I liked ThatSorn, they were very cute!

Sth ordinary turned into phenomenal
I love it soooo much! The plot is nothing new and everything is pretty much predictable, but the execution is phenomenal! The actors had great chemistry together and were soooo good! Like how can a hug be so emotional that it makes me rewatch it 100 times?! And the kisses weresooooo good and felt natural! The actor of ZSY did a really great job and ZSY was really the cat type, like whenever I saw him, I was reminded of a cute little cat due to his personality and appearance.
They were also a pretty balanced couple, like one wasn't the giver and the other the taker. And ZSY didn't become the girl of the relationship, which unfortunately happens a lot in bl stories...
I saw some bts and I have to say, the director's passion has also contributed a lot to the success of this series.
So, overall a must watch series!
ZSY was really cute and like a lost kitten, when GSD distanced himself from ZSY. And when they started dating, ZSY was so cute and in love! The whole scene at GSD's house (greeting the mother, trying to wash the dishes and clean the table) were soooooo adorable! Yes, I've fallen for him!

OFF-CHART CHEMISTRY
No matter whether you hate or love this show, you can't deny the out-of-the-world chemistry between mewgulf. And that's not just because of the steamy scenes, but their eyes, when they look at each other, and their touches, that feels soo natural and not scripted at all. And the steamy scenes didn't feel like too much, just the right amount to tease the viewers .(For example in don't say no, those scenes were far too long, to a point where all the steam kind of faded away and I was waiting for the scenes to end.)I fell for their chemistry to a point, where I can't say whether the ship tharntype or mewgulf more. And believe me, I don't ship real people, but only characters, like if the actors are in a relationship in real life, it's good for them, but I usually don't feel much about it... But the fanservice mewgulf deliver is just so natural, I started shipping them and idc whether they are real, really good besties or really great actors, I love watching them together.
That's the very reason, I like this series a lot and gave it a 8, even though it has various issues: The first few episodes until they first have sex, has quite a few sexual assault scenes. The way they deal with type's trauma is half assed, him being such a homophobe is not really reasonable and how they handle tar and lhong is just wrong. But I guess from reading many yaoi, I've kind of learned to fade out such things, especially rape/sexual assault, to enjoy the story, if the rest is good (my biggest guilty pleasure: Hidoku shinaide, the whole first volume is only about sexual assault, rape and blackmailing).
What I enjoyed beside the chemistry was the cuteness of Gulf/Tharn, Techno (he is sooo funny! The actor did an amazing job), Tharn's supportive family (even though they are sometimes too cringe) and how type handles the problem in the last few episodes instead of crying in the corner. I generally love how sassy he is, when he deals with "pests".
If they had handled at least type's trauma correctly and left out all the sexual assault stuff, I would have given it a solid 9 or maybe even 9.5. And objectly speaking, this show deserves a 6.5 or 7, but I enjoyed the couple too much and I'm still fangirling over them, therefore an 8 from me ? (Edit: TharnType/MewGulf haunt me soooo much, that I have to give this show a 9, I just love them!)
In ep1 or 2, when tharn kissed gulf all over the body, while gulf was drunk and asleep, I was really disappointed. I hoped he would just give a hickey on the neck as a prank (I know, that's also sexual harassment, but still I would have let it slide), but every time he kissed, I hoped he would just stopped and asked "Dude, didn't you just assure Techno, that you wouldn't do anything to a drunk person? You think sexual assault is okay as long as it doesn't end up being rape? Didn't you say, that not all gay people are the same? Now you are committing a crime and still claim to be innocent?". Those questions popped every time tharn did sth to type w/o his consent. The sad thing is, all of them could have been easily avoided and were unnecessary. Type could have been a homophobic queer person, w/o realising it, and could have been sexually frustrated and attracted to tharn. Then their first make out session could have been the trigger for his trauma. It's such a huge missed opportunity, that would have made this series much better.
And regarding the trauma, tharn should have been the one to show type, that not all gay people are the same and that a queer relationship is not much different from straight one, instead he was the another person who assaulted type.
And tbh I did see much of a growth of type regarding his homophobic side, which is quite disappointing, since that should have been one of the main aspects of the show...
And how they handle the gang rape of tar is just fucked up. They would have given him more screen time, so that the viewers could see, how he handles the situation after telling others about this incident. And I was perplexed at how lhong escaped the whole situation with a few punches! He should bein jail or at least get mental help! The whole situation was handled so wrongly... They should have taken sth else, instead of handling gang rape so carelessly...

I gave it a try, but I couldn't finish this series.
I know it's an older serie, one of the older popular bl series, and I also read the disclaimer at the beginning that this is pretty exaggerated, so I really really had little to none expectation. But I guess, I wasn't prepared enough. The acting wasn't good, the dialogues were bad, no humor, the whole hazing is really over the top, that it made me laugh in a negative way, etc.Over the time I found Arthit to be cute and I felt like there is chemistry between the main leads, so I had the hope, that these will help me to finish the show, but unfortunately that wasn't the case... I really couldn't watch ep 6 at all, it was painful/cringy/exhausting, so I stopped there.
I really wanted to watch this show, because I saw some cute clips of this couple in YouTube, but I guess this is one of the bl series that didn't age well. Especially for someone who started to watch bl dramas only in 2022 and has watched some good bl series, watching this is not possible, or at least that was the case for me...

Wasn't worth the time
I didn't enjoy the series, it might be, bc I watched it in 2022 for the first time after watching some other bl series. AePete had their cute moments and I liked Perth's acting, but I didn't like Saint's acting and didn't feel much of a chemistry between them. Pete is your typical "damsel in distress"-kdrama-FL in the first few episodes, I really hate that. And I have already watched WRU, in which I love TutorFighter as a couple as well as their characters, that's not the case for Pete. Even though I didn't want to, I automatically compared both pairs together and for me ZeeSaint is better, they were much more natural together than SaintPerth, their interaction felt very scripted.I liked Pond, even though he is very annoying, he is a very supportive friend.
As someone who already watched TharnType, I automatically imagined the actors from TharnType for some characters and I have to say, that I'm glad they casted new actors and it's a pity that the TharnType actors didn't appear in LBC (since this was filmed before TharnType).

Yes, it is overhyped...
Let's start with the worst: The StoryOnce you truly reflect about this drama, then you will be aware, that the story is lacking. Neither time travel nor the motive of the villain is truly explained. For the villain, they just could have added one scene as an explanation. And the whole time travelling left us with thousands of questions. We don't even know how this whole world works, where the story is happening. But also Sol as a 30+ years old travelling back to a highschoolers body, didn't behave the way one would....
But aside from the story, everything else is perfect (or at least for me). All the actors did a wonderful job, making "boring" characters lovable and charming! Especially FL & ML portrayed the emotions so well, one could feel all the pain and heartache! Their chemistry was great!
The music was phenomenous! While "Sonaki" is a very beautiful love letter, "Spring Snow" sums up the whole drama wonderfully. "Like a dream" is also one of my favourites!
Would I rewatch it? Absolutely! It is sooooooo hilarious! And the romance is very good, got me grinning and kicking like Minmin!
So, why is it overhyped? For a romcom, it's a great series! Fun, lovable and rewatchable with great acting and music. However, for a series, it is lacking (as previously mentioned). So, the more you look into reasoms and try to analyse it, the more you will realize how imperfect this series is. Imo it was a great choice to neglect the background of the whole time travalling, instead of coming up with a not good enough explanation, that would have ruined the whole vibe.
