The series is really about stupid characters wanting to get rich
Watched the Train to Busan and Kingdom, thought it would be at least good but this was so so bad.The writers were probably having a competition to see who could write the worst and stupidest character because there was not one decent character in the series. The smartest character in the series was probably the old lady that got a scratch on her back ( she kept an eye on her symptoms, gathered information and laid low ) other than her the rest are complete idiots.
Yoon Sae Bom is one of the worst characters I've seen in a long time, if she was in charge of finding a cure and keeping the ,,infected,, isolated from the healthy people in the general population most people would be infected in a few days. If she did not have ,,plot armor,, she would die in ep. 3.
There is no tension, characters keep their backs to open doors, they never keep their guard up, look worried that an ,,infected,, might be behind a corner, getting sick is even seen as a solution to fixing problems. Characters are more concerned with getting rich rather than keeping themselves safe.
As an action series it fails so hard, the main characters do not act as trained professionals, the ,,stunts,, are too obvious, they try to make scenes dramatic but they look silly.
There is no romance, the main leads are very cute but have no chemistry, their ,,love story,, never develops but we are told they love each other . Watch ,, Containment,, made in 2016 if you want to see a couple that has so much chemistry when they never even touch each other, that is how it is done but even that series is not great.
Would have been a lot better as a movie ( a mediocre movie ), I regret watching all of it, should have dropped it after ep 3 but had the morbid curiosity to see how bad the series really was.

Sweet, heartwarming story
Wish we had more movies/series like this one, it deserves a sequel. Even better than the manga in my opinion but the manga is good as well.Beautiful scenery, excellent actors, characters that grow in a simple story without forced drama just for the sake of it. Good pacing for the story but maybe a bit slow for some, realistic, cute story of 2 characters falling in love, enjoyed their family dynamics as well.
The camera was shaky on purpose for a scene but it did not really work well in my opinion, the way it was filmed made me think it was a bit older then 2020, their love story was a bit rushed at the end, wish they had more romantic scenes.
Rewatched it, will see it again in the future.

Slow burn, needs a remake
Adore the manga so decided to give it a try as well. The story focuses on their love story, it was a great idea to ,,allow,, the audience to hear what the characters are thinking. The characters fit each other so well, it was lovely seeing them slowly fall in love. It is a slow burn but it never dragged just gave them the time they needed, most of the time one of the characters falls first and pursues the other but here they both start from 0 feelings for the other.
It is an older movie and it shows from their phones, rooms, haircuts and the way it was filmed. The chemistry lacks but it is an older movie, for its time I would say they did an OK job. One of the actors did a better job then the other when it came to acting.
It was a simple, cute love story perfect to enjoy with a warm drink on a cold night and I enjoyed it, the manga is better but they did a good job.

Manga is better
The beginning of the series was good, not a minute was wasted but in dragged towards the end just to rush the ending.Liked that they showed their love story from 2 different timelines and the young actors did a decent job but most of the acting was not that great, Ren's friend is a good actor. The chemistry was lacking, the running scenes were really badly done and his mom was confused.
It did have some sweet and heart warming scenes, it was a cute love story, the characters tried to support each other as best they could. Liked that it had some dark themes.
It was ok, enjoyed it for what it was, was rooting for the characters to be together, if it had better actors it would have been a lot better.

Wish it was better written
The cinematography is beautiful, most of the actors did a good job, Jack's actor did an excellent job. It's good they tried a different type of story but it needed better writers. As an action series
Ep. 1 is rushed, some scenes are so badly written they make no sense, later episodes have too many filler scenes they become boring.
Fighting scenes and action scenes are poorly written and executed. There is no tension, it does not matter how much a main character is hurt a min later they act like it never happened, side characters are made of eggshells, touch them and they drop immediately. It does have a few good comedy scenes, one good sad scene.
Had a lot of potential and could have been really good if the story was written better.
As a BL
In my opinion they added the romance just to attract a certain audience but did not hire someone who can write a love story. In 4 episodes it barely has a few minutes of romance, there are more scenes where characters talk about a possible romance between Jack and Joke then actual romantic scenes. Unfortunately the main couple has no chemistry so it's not really a BL.

Could have been a lot better with more time
Arashi and Rei - really simple story, not the type of characters I usually enjoy and it was true for this as well. Shoma did a really bad job with his acting but he is handsome and better at the kissing scenes. Takuto was bad as well, better than the actor for Rain in my opinion but the couple has no chemistry . Enjoyed the Japanese version of the show better for this couple, probably because their story is very simple and it works better with the shorter episodes. I give them 2 out of 10, watched them to see Fuma and Kai in the first episodes.Unfortunately in this version we get very little time to show the friendship between Rei and Kai, Arashi and Fuma. We also lose some fun side characters but Rinka is better than the Thai version, Sky's ex was creepier in the Thai version. They cut a lot of useless fluff and that was great. The sound in this show was a lot better, the editing as well but it had a smaller budget and it showed.
Fuma and Kai- the story needed a better writer to give more depth to both Sky/Kai and Fuma/P'Pai but still a decent story. Asahi did a good job with his acting, he fails when it comes to his ,,womanizer,, persona but I prefer him to P'Pai with some exceptions. In the Thai version when P'Pai and Sky meet there was a certain level of uncertainty, P'Pai seemed more dangerous, like he could hurt Sky but this version lacks this and it's not a good thing in my opinion, some characters are better when they keep you guessing. Reo is the best actor in the series in my opinion, he did a great job with most of the scenes but some scenes lack ,,depth,, because they were not given the time they needed to develop the characters better. Unfortunately this was the character they choose to change the most and Sky looses some of his charm. The couple has chemistry in some scenes but not all unfortunately. Sure, Reo is a bit too old for this role but I will take an older actor any day if he does a good job acting. - I give them 6 out of 10, would have been 7 with two more episodes dedicated to them since time is what they lacked most.
