A heart-wrenching and bittersweet drama

Youth of May is a wonderfully made drama that will make your hear flutter but at the same time suffer. Its story is different from any other cliché and typical kdrama and the acting of each actor is top-notch.

Despite it only being 12 episodes, it managed to capture the deep affection that the main leads had for each other and the struugles and cry for justice of the citizens of Gwangu during the month of May in the year 1980.

This drama will make you fall in love with the main lead's charming personality and look up to the female lead's hardworking and sefless personality. But this drama also shows that behind their strong and interesting character, lies their painful past and struggles in life. Watching this drama will make you realize that we shouldn't always carry our burden by ourselves, we should sometimes learn to say "no" to others and choose our happiness instead of living in regret. Aside from that, it also teaches us that those left behind shouldn't let sorrow take over nor drown in tears and get blown by the wind, but instead, they should courageously swim and fly high with the wind as they face their remaining years in life.

Might as well give this drama a try

This is a good drama to watch if you currently ran out of dramas to watch or you want to take a break from those lengthy, serious, and intense wuxias. However, it's better not to expect too much from it. Although this drama has good actors, beautiful sceneries, and wonderful OSTs, I feel like it lacks something.

The overall storyline of a mortal and a demon falling in love through different lifetimes was good and quite interesting at first but 4 lifetimes with the same lovestory in only 36 episode was too much and rushed. It was like just repeatedly watching the female lead meet and quickly fall in love with the male lead as he secretly waits and protects her but both eventually gets seperated and meet again in the next lifetime. The only difference between each lifetime they spent was the character setting of the female lead. First, she wast a maid that married a different guy because her memories were distorted. Second, she was a country girl that got married into the palace. Third, she was a brave general that silently loved him and was contented with him fighting and staying by her side. Fourth, she was a cultivator that was taught to kill demons. As you can see each lifetime would have had wonderful set-up but sadly each of their lovestory was not wonderfully developed as each only spanned a few episodes. Personally, I feel like it would be better if they had just stuck to 2 reincarnations of the female lead or they could still originally include 3-4 reincarnations if the drama was about 50-60 episodes. But nevertheless it was heartwaming to see the male lead protect and love her for hundred of years no matter who she is or was born as, and how the female lead always ends up falling in love and choosing the male lead in each of her lifetime.

The second couple was my favorite. I loved their contrasting personalities and cute interactions. They were one of the main reasons I didn't dropped this drama and I actually preferred them over the main lead couple. It was lovely to watch Qinqing, the lively and takaltive bird elf melt the icy cold heart of Xue Qianxun, the lord of Luofeng Pavillion. Aside from their relationship, I am also fond of Dagon king and Qingqing's friendship and as well as his frienship with Xue Qianxun. It was nice to see how loyal Qingqing was to Liuying that she accompanied her even when she was reincarnated as Ayu, Chenyue, and Qingyan.

In a nutshell, although Miss the Dragon has a lot of room for improvement, it was certainly not a bad drama and was still beutifully-made and quite interesting to watch. The sceneries were surreal and breathtaking and The OST in this drama was spectactular, it matched each scene and magnified the all feelings and emotions conveyed by the actors. I would definitely add these songs into my playlist: 1) Liu Zhuan Ying Hui by Shuang Sheng, 2) Favor by Ding Ding, and 3) Meeting fireflies by Henry Huo.

One of a kind in the Field of C-Dramas

Arsenal military is undeniably on a different level among other dramas. Most shows are either set in modern or in ancient times, but I rarely see ones that are set during the 1900s. Furthermore, its storyline does not mainly focus on a love story, but rather a journey about growth, friendship, bravery, and patriotism.

This drama has one of the best cast I've seen. Everyone did a great job on portraying their given role, down from the main leads to the supporting characters. Bai Lu, the actress who played as the female lead, deserve all the recognition for her spectactular acting. Unlike most dramas that poorly executes cross-dressings, she really looked and acted as a man and was convincing, omitting the fact that she was quite short and petite. Xu Kai was perfect for acting as Gu Yan Zhen. He managed to portray a childish yet badass character flawlessly. Toby Lee as Shen Jun Shan was just amazing, despite his timid and upright character, I looked forward to his scenes everytime and amired his righteousnes. He showed the definition of a true gentleman. I can't imangine if Wu Jia Yi wasn't casted as Qu Man ting. She was one of the main reasons that kept the show interesting.

This show was well-produced as it was packed with great actors and wonderful OST that matched well with the scene. It was nicely setted with the clothes, cars, and infrastractures. The story progessed nicely, for as the characters underwent growth, it slowly turned from a romantic comedy to a political drama. Each episode was filled with wonderful plot showcasing the bond between military students as they bravely face struggles concerning life and death for their country despite going against those with power and authority. This drama was a a slow burn and I would have given it a higher if it weren't for some dull moments or if the scenes without much action or significance could have been cut short. I find myself speeding up some parts of the drama from time to time as some of the exchange of dialogues were delivered slowly and some transitions were filmed long.

XIE XIANG, GU YAN ZHEN, & SHEN JUNSHAN'S LOVE TRIANGLE:
Both Gu Yan Zhen and Shen Jun Shan whole-heartedly deserved Xie Xian. The main difference was that Gu Yan Zhen made Xie Xian laugh and comfortable, whereas Shen Jun Shan made her feel safe and taken care of. Since romance wasn't the main focus of the storyline, for me, it was more like choosing your bossom friend (Gu Yan Zhen) or your affectionate brother(Shen Jun Shan). Personally, I was rooting for Shen Junshan. However, Gu Yan Zhen definitely had the upper hand since he was Xie Xiang's roomate and knew first that she was just disguising as a man, so he was more clingy, flirty, and had more opportunities to protect and care for Xie Xiang while keeping her secret. On the contrary, Shen Jun protected and treated Xie Xian nicely despite not knowing that she was a girl. He repeatedly saved her and regarded her of great importance to the point that he thought something wrong with him since he had affection for Xie Liang Chen, who is said to be a man. Hence, he tried to distance to himself for a short while and didn't know how to act towards Xie Xian.

QU MAN TING, GU YAN ZHEN, & SHEN TING BAI'S LOVE TRIANGLE:
I would have love to see Qu Man Ting an Gu Yan Zhen together for they would have make a great couple especially with their similar personalites such as having a bold character. I admire Qu Man Ting's perseverance in pursuing Gu Yan Zhen, I truly believe that if they had met first without Xie Xiang in the picture or Xie Xiang ended up choosing Shen Jun Shan, Gu Yan Zhen would eventually fall for Qu manting. Sadly, Gu Yan Zhen was already in love with Xie Xiang. Hence, I felt bad for her and as well as for Shen Ting Bai since he truly loved and and did a lot of things for her, but she chooses to chase a man who doesn't even love her back. But thankfully Qu manting was moved by Shen Ting Bai's true love.

OTHER LOVE STORIES:
All the love stories present in this drama was really intriguing. Including Li Wen Zhong's. He was able to display his character development Through his affection for An Wen. Aside from them, I find Huang Song's one-sided crush toward Xie Xiang pure and cute. It's just a pity that he didn't get a chance to know that his best friend, Xie Liang Chen and Xie Xiang, the girl who he admire is the same person. We are well aware that Oda Xian Rong truly loved Shen Jun Shan. However, in no way was she deserving of his love and trust.

Heartwarming yet heartbreaking

Go Ahead is absolutely a masterpiece that everyone should watch. It is definitely one of the most meaningful and touching drama I've watched. While watching it, I was swarmed with all kinds of emotions such as joy, sadness, anger, and relief. This drama will literally take you on a rollercoster ride.

You get to witness the ups and downs of each character as they grow and face different kinds of problems in life. It teaches us the importance and definition of family, wherein a family is built on love and care and its members are not defined by blood.

Watching Go Ahead will make you cherish your family and the people around you who continuely supports you. It showed us how the peaceful and joyful life that we share with the family we built can easily crumble when our past comes knocking on our door that places us in dilemma between our biological family that abandoned us or the people that accepted and treated us as their own family. It makes us realizes that the relationship we have will eventually change, for change is a constant. The only thing we can do is to move forward and go ahead in life. One day, the people close to us may leave, the things we avoid may suddenly appear, and the life we're trying so hard to hold on fall apart in an instant.

It tackled about the pressure that children face because of their parents and how it can grow and turn into their darkest scars. The show opens our eyes as to how avoidance or keeping our problems to ourselves is not the solution. It will eventually haunt us or make us overwhelmed with the burden we've placed on ourselves. Sometimes we don't want others to know the problems we're dealing in order for them not to worry or pity us and so that we won't trouble them with our own problems, but sometimes its better to open up even though the may not be able to offer some help instead of bottling all our all feelings because thats what familes and friends are for, which is to support one another.

A Perfectly Basic Romantic Drama

Although the storyline of this drama is quite simple, it was exciting and enjoyable to watch. The drama was light yet refreshing, and the chemistry of the main leads is spot on. It was truly simplicity at its finest.

Despite having a clichè and unrealistic plot, it was a lovestory that'll keep you hooked with the main lead's charisma and the female lead's bright character. Watching this drama will make you fall in love with the main lead's talents, looks, and caring personality, and will definitely make him your ideal boyfriend. Furthermore, the female lead's passion for music and her perseverance in fullfiling her dream was also inspiring.

This is a sweet romantic drama that strays away from the dramatic and unnecessary problems that the main leads ussually encounter, which often complicate things and lead to break ups. Thus, the show was pleasing yet also predictable to watch, as the other male character who fancied the female lead felt more just like a stumbling block rather than a love rival. Overall, Love Scenery helps you paint a picture of an ideal relationship, which is built on love and support, as each of them grow and mature together while they overcome challenges such as having an age gap and worrying about the power of public opinion.

An interesting drama to watch

The legend of fei is an amazing and must-watch drama. The chemistry between the lead actors is spot on. Zhao liying pulled off her character as Zhou Fei and Wang Yibo definitely did a great job acting as Xie Yun.

The drama itself has a clear storyline. Although it doesn't have that much of an intense plot and conflicts like other wuxias, its still interesting and enjoying to watch. Moreover, even though its quite long, I didn't find it boring, especially due to Xie Yun's charming personality, and as well as the troublesome trio of Li Yan, Yang jin, and the poisoner. The soundtract was also great especially the 1. 逐浪 / Chasing the waves (Opening theme), 2. 无华 /Unadorne (Ending theme), and 3. 熹微 / Weak rays of sunlightby Wang Yibo.

I love how the characters developed as the show progresseed. From Zhou fei who was just confined in the fort and a newbie to the martial world, became somewone who met and battled renowned martial artist, and Xie yun, a care-feee charming man that doesn't like to involve himself in business, actually has a dark past and now joins hand in hand with fei in upholding justice. And aslo how other supporting charaters like Li Sheng, Wu chu chu, and the trio grew, became wiser and braver as they face challenges and also find love.

Overall, the show had action, romance, and lessons, which highlighted the passion and bravery of the youth. It was great however kinda underwhelming at the same time. The plot wasn't really unique, it follows the general storyline of the leads setting out on a journey to uphold justice in the martial world and fall in love as they face challenges together. The vilains wasn't that inmitading and was easy to defeat. It was predictable that Zhou fei and the others would win in the end.

Raised the bar for Xianxias

An absolute masterpiece that will move your heart with its amazing story, cast, ost and production. Each scene is asthetically pleasing yet filled with lessons and heartbreak about the upholding your responsiblity and fighting for your love.
The chemistry between the main leads was on fire, to the point that you'll feel the deep love they have for each other and the heartbreaks they gone through.

This drama was wonderfully written and produced. Its story was original and captivating, while the cast's portrayal made each character memorable. So far, this drama definitely has the best cinematography and CGI among all xianxias. Each soundtrack magnified the emotions portrayed by the characters with its melody and lyrics.

This drama will make you feel all kinds of emotions. There will be times when your heart may flutter with the sweet interactions and romantic scenes. On the other hand you may find your self crying from heary break and grieviance from deaths, sacrifice, and misunderstanding. Some scenes will also fill you with hatred and tension due to other's greed, jealousy, and wickedness, while it may also fill you with laughter and good vibes from the exchange of funny dialogues.

The plot shows us the price that gods pay for the peace and safety of all beings. It teaches us about the burden placed upon their shoulders as we pray and ask for their help. It talks about responsibilty, peace, love, loyalty, and justice. This drama manages to show us how each and everyone of us has their own difficulties, but no matter what we must learn to be selfless, protect our loved ones, stick to our principles, and never let oursevelves follow an evil path.

This was a highly-aniticpated drama and received a lot of high expectations before it was even aired. Fortunatley, it lived up to its hype and was definitely worth the wait. It is a must-watch and binge-worthy drama that will get you hooked right away.

A meaningful and bubbly love story

This drama will not only show you a cute and sweet romance, but will also make you appreciate the effort poured by authors, illustrators, and editors into their work. It teaches us the art of writing, the fruit of hardwork, and the beauty of helping people in making their dreams come true.

Moonlight opens our eyes to the writing and publishing industry as a heartfelt love story forms between the main leads who works as an author and an editor. They gave us a couple with a wonderdul chemistry that brought as butterflies and laughter.

Watching this drama is really inspiring and pleasing. The main lead's acting was spectactular, he managaed to portray an arrogant yet kind and charming guy that caprures the heart of viewers. His childishness and stubborness is my favorite aspect of him becuse depsite of his imperfections, these personality is the one that made him lovable and stay true to himself even when faced with criticisms. The female lead was also like a ray of sunshine filled with compassion and perseverance. Her bright character makes this show interesting and enjoying.

The storyline of this drama was simple yet captivating. Despite not having plenty of twist and turns, it managed to keep me watching and stay tuned on each episode espicially with the wonderfust cast, OST, and production.
