Not bad for my first Thai series!! I loved the whole concept of this series although I found it absurd at first because I never had an idea that it would be hmmmm... unrealistic. Despite the fantasy factor, there were still leanings to be applied in real life. They were presented smoothly ❤ it was not perfectly done.. like for example the visuals and acting, but I appreciated the script! That's what made me go on with the series. And I must say, the ending was powerful. It would make the viewers wait for the next season or rewatch the series. Indeed, "the gifted" is not bad for a first time experience with Thai series.

P.S. Wave was reaaally handsome! ?

I'm not really the type of person who rewatches a film/series. Why? Simply because the element of surprise is already gone. But CLOY is an exception. While rewatching it, even though I knew what would happen next, I still get the same feels. (esp. kilig) Normally, it's weird to watch kilig scenes after seeing it once, but with CLOY, you'll never get tired of having that feeling of "awww. They're really perfect for each other" or "shit. Where to find a guy like Ri Jeong Hyeok?!"

About the plot: I think it was well thought of. Not the usual star crossed lovers' story for me. I think the people behind this great drama were very careful. They made sure that it won't seem unrealistic despite the fact that a person had crash landed somewhere. The way the conflict had been resolved, and overcoming several breathtaking moments, everything made sense. Good job! It ended beautifully also, detailed and not rushed, like every character's single line is important during the last episode, most especially in epilogue. It leaves the viewer with a great feeling after watching.

About the actors: oy! The chemistry was perfect between the main actors (seri and jeong hyeok) and between the second lead characters (seo dan and seung jun). Can't get over with how they perfectly portrayed their roles. How great it must be to find someone who's really made for you, who loves you unconditionally. In short, these couples made us believe in love. Even though some of us may have been hurt so bad in the past, we'd still believe in love AGAIN after witnessing their love stories. Captain Ri's squad was also the best! North Korean women were also good, that surprisingly brought me into tears during that part where they received Seri's customized products for them. The antagonist Cho Cheol Gang also annoyed me so much. Very effective actor! Ugh! Everyone of them.. did a perfect job!

OST is sooooooooooo goood!! Will finish it here because i think this is the longest review I've ever made already. Hehe

Definitely worth my time! The whole drama is an epitome of hardwork (which came from all the people behind the great drama) the cast did well. I couldn't ask for other actors or actresses to portray/play their parts. The visuals... ohmygod. The visuals are really great. It seems very real and authentic (to the point that you would dream of blood everywhere around you during your sleep haha jk). The OST and even the background music gives you the hype (especially during those confrontation scenes before the fight scenes, that eye to eye contact between the male leads haha).

What caught my attention the most and instant realizations:
1. The romance or love story between Hwi and Hui-Jae was found at the beginning and ending (ONLY) so if you're expecting kilig or romance between these two, better stop or else you'll feel disappointed. Not the lovey-dovey thing.
2. Instead, look for the BROMANCE. damn. Both Hwi and Seon Ho nailed it. You'd never find a friendship like theirs in real life I guess. Imagine being stabbed by a friend and still choose to cherish him/her. Imagine being misunderstood, hated by them yet you know deep inside that what you did was really for them. Imagine having the same fate or ending with your friend. (Ooops ?? sorry)
3. The actor portraying Bang-won is the best! ??
4. Fast pacing especially from Episodes 12-16.
5. I'll never get tired of Yang Se-Jong ??
6. A lot happened in those 16 episodes!
7. I CANNOT BELIEVE WHY THIS IS UNDERRATED! I CANNOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND WHY THE RATINGS ARE LOW. I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT WHY WAS THIS QUIET? WHY IS EVERYONE NOT MAKING NOISE ABOUT HWI'S AND SEON HEO'S BROMANCE! HAHAHA

Damn. This series was great! Can't believe it aired in 2018 but never watched/heard about it before. I must commend all the actors and actresses though. Aside from their beautiful/pretty faces, they portrayed their roles very well. Professsor Cha's family is my favorite. ? Also for the plot/story.. I considered it as fast-paced but it does not seem like it was rushed. OST was also good. Everytime I hear it, it makes me hyped. As a teacher, I wish a lot of students, as well as their parents, can learn a lot and give them realizations. ENDING WAS VERY SATISFYING ❤

This drama was recommended by a close friend and told me to be emotionally prepared. During the first few episodes, I was thinking of not continuing it because I'm not ready for the tragic ending. I almost googled for the recap of every episode until the last.. but I fortunately went on. Fortunate because if I had not completed watching it, I would probably regret. THE ENDING WAS UNEXPECTED. haha I was wondering the whole time why would Chae Kyoung be hung for her public execution and why would she try to kill the King... but I did not get that kind of ending. Though I shed some tears, felt a little bit sad.. the ending gave me comfort. It was not a happy ending, but a BEAUTIFUL ending.

I loved the OST! I loved the 3 main lead and almost all the supporting characters. I just didn't like the young Chae Kyoung that much. The resemblance of young Yeok and adult Yeok was amazing though. I was also amazed how the character of that brutal King swayed me by liking and hating him from time to time. I cried not too much and only at the latter part (thankfully) Ugh. This drama was great. It will be included on my list of favorite historical dramas

I am already a fan of Se-Jong since Dr. Romantic so my review might be affected greatly with that fact. ✌ I honestly turned a blind eye on this drama when I first saw it and preferred Thirty But Seventeen or Still 17. Surprisingly, I liked this drama of Se-Jong more than his Still 17. And I don't know why a lot were giving bad reviews. What I liked the most in this drama is the realistic vibe on it. It's very much evident through the lines or dialogue of the characters. The spontaneity and sincerity of the characters brought entertainment to me too. It's indeed refreshing and it surely gave us different perspectives of love. ???? I must commend Se-Jong's performance though. He really deserves the recognitions he received from this drama. Also to the second male lead, he's really good because his character annoyed me during the conflict part of the plot, yet I also loved him in the last 2-3 episodes. Overall.. What's important I guess is that I felt good after watching this. ?

Disappointed AF

Started so good, mehhh at the middle part, frustrated and disappointed af at the last part. I feel like i wasted my 9hours. 9hrs only because i enjoyed the first part. The female character was absolutely worst. Decisions.. like girl?! And to add up, the mother of Jin A. I hate her so much to the point that I would like to scream yet all I can do is rant on my twitter acccnt cursing her.. last time I hate this kind of parents was while watching Sky Castle and Boys Over Flowers. Ahahah they are the worst type of parents. Haha anyways.. all i can say is "SAYANG" hae in and ye jin were the best. Just that the script or plot is... ugh still disappointed. Sorry for the rant

Still 17 or Thirty but Seventeen is such a feel-good kdrama! What I liked the most is the idea that despite the hardships/challenges in life, something good/better is always coming. I also love how they highlighted classical music in this drama and the work of production staff/stage designers. If you're an artist, you can totally relate with this drama, be inspired and get some new ideas. Se-jong is ❤ It's just that most scenes might seem to be unrealistic but nahhh, I still find it cute and good for the heart, that's why I end up finishing it in 2 days. ?

Lead actors are really good. Saw them portraying other roles but this drama proved how good they really are because their characters did not have much dialogue at first, but we can still feel their strong emotions. Also, the quietness of the drama can simply help the audience empathize more with the characters and allows them to reflect from time to time (& guess what would happen next or the reason behind something lol). I personally don't like slow-paced storyline, but I can't stop myself from watching. It gets more interesting & intense every episode. I really do hope the ending is good. Please please please. ❤ AND!!.. after watching the latest episode, I checked the behind the scenes, and I fell in love more with the drama and characters! I don't usually watch ongoing dramas but this is my 5th time/drama and it's definitely going to be worth the wait.
