Ughhhhh why...why did I watch this?????

This was just one of those shows that you watch as a filler on a Monday because my god what was this????

The characters were just annoying. It was not even cute at all. Like how can he even be attracted to someone who behaves like a child, a literal child. It also made the sex scenes even weirder because how howwwww can you be attracted to that. Like Golden retriever boyfriend I understand but this was an overkill.

The second couple did not really have a plot. It was basically all about sex and that's it which is a shame in my opinion.

I just....I should have dropped this show. I really should have but see, I was bored...-_-

Hmmmm...I don't know

So the idea was cute about two childhood friends rekindling and starting to get closer but the execution wasn't that good.

I'll start with the good aspects of the series, namely the cuteness and handsomeness factor. You can't deny that the cast is to die for. The acting was okay but of course it could have been better. I also liked that they actually kissed and not just your average KBL kiss. I also liked the weird conversations because you don't really talk about you know what getting bigger and bigger in a KBL. I almost died of laughter at that point.

However, there were too many missing links. I was missing a lot of backstory about the idol life, the love life, the fiancé that added nothing to the plot... I wanted less of the back story so the actual love story would be believable because ...when and how did they fall in love? I don't see it.

Full of clichés but so addictive

The story isn't fresh and new, but boy oh boy did I binge? Yes, yes I did. I should have done some housework, but instead chose to stare at my screen for 8 episodes. Thank god it's not 80 episodes or I would be in big trouble. That's the only good thing about it having only 8 episodes. I need more of those two together because I'm still on a pink fluffy cloud right now. I would recommend this drama to everyone who loves fluffy, cheesy, lovey-dovey BL's.

So....wtf was that?!

So, full disclosure...I watched this right after Maid's revenge. Two series with some questionable plots in one day should be considered a bad idea.

However, I did not regret this insane...yes insane
.....rollercoaster of emotions. I have this thing for dominant, yet sexy, edgy men who hurt their woman but then again don't. I know, I know ...says a lot about my taste in fictional men 😅 In real life I go for the Golden retriever boyfriend. Anyway I loved it. I'm only giving it a 7.5 because my God three times???? She bumps her head three times? Come onnnnnnn....

Also, those scenes were steamy but not vulgar in any way. I now crossing my fingers that these two actors can act again but...maybe something a little bit more fluffy? Pretty please 🙏

I'm still angry at them for Dapeng!

Okay let's start with the good things. It wasn't your perfect little love story, that I like. I also liked the many rescue missions. They were really well executed.

However, there were some flaws. Even though it is not a cliché love story...at the same time it is. Rich parents are not happy with the average boy who then fights to become worthy of her love. Yes, yes...that story we know. My biggest problem was of course...that death! it was totally unnecessary in my opinion. I was actually rooting for that couple more than the main leads so that's why the rating is only a seven. Ugh!!!!! Don't just kill the golden retriever characters, that's a big no no.

I don't usually binge a show like this...but dayummmm

Is this a high score? Yes, yes it is...I'm a sucker for domineering macho men who are inherently good but a bad boy on the outside, so this was just something for me I guess.

Was the FL stupid? Yes, she was. I was so annoyed by her idiocy but then again it works in this series but only because it wasn't a very long series. FL aside, the ML had is idiot moments as well. For the love of God just tell the truth 👀.

Would it have been a flop with a less attractive cast? Pro-bably. We must admit that they chose actors who are - let's be honest here- eye candy. I'm not complaining at all. I probably is the reason why I binged this series in one day. I was actually conflicted about my score because the actual story isn't that wow but the ML was just 🔥🔥🔥. I want to see him in a different role now...

Oh btw, I rewrote the ending in my head. The new recruit is just the ML in disguise. It's all an act for her safety...euh...of course.

Do you like Cutie Pie and mushy, squishy feelings? Then seek no further, because you will love this. All our couples get together and have a happy lovey-dovey time and nothing really happens. This is ideal for people who just want to watch something right after something heavy or those who want to fall in love again with all our couples.

Were the four episodes necessary? Hell nah! Did I watch all four of them? Hell yeah! The main reason is not the script, but the actors. I might be superficial but we cannot deny that all the actors are just insanely hot and talented. I think they deserve a better script tho, to fully explore their capabilities.

Hear me out....

First of all, this is my first review on MDL.
I've only started watching BL's recently as in december (some examples: Bad Buddy, Kinnporshe, History 3: trapped and many more) but boy oh boy do I like this genre.

UWMA was amazing story wise and I really liked the characters overall. They didn't focus on the side couples which is a good thing! This series, however, does and there it all goes wrong for me. I don't even remember the names, which says enough.

Then again, an 8 you might ask? Well, I really loved the parts where they show deep emotions. The scene where Team almost drowned was just heartbreaking, I was captivated to say the least. Win saw his world die right in front of him and even though he didn't express his love verbally, you can clearly see the love through his actions. I love a man who shows rather than one who tells me a 100 times.

Another thing I liked about Between Us was the realism (in some ways) about going from a fwb to lovers. The pace was just right for me relationship wise, because I like a story where they don't get together after only seeing each other two times or so. I actually want to see some growth.

Overall, 8 might be generous but I just love love Boun and Prem. The chemistry got to me. I really hope to see them in other works with preferably less side characters or a miniseries which focuses only on their story. We Best Love has shown that miniseries can be amazing as well!

PS Saying Hia all the time might be annoying but the P'Dean made my skin crawl. I do not recommend to make it into a drinking game, unless you have a strong liver. Oh and Boun's hair...why, why God whyyyyyy????

That was beautiful

Someone recommended this series to me. They must really know me because this was just perfect for me. I only give it a nine because ...my god ...my heart could not handle all those intense emotions.

I could really feel their pain through my screen. Losing someone, especially a sibling, can really break you into a million pieces. And to find that certain someone who can put the pieces together is so rare, but this story was just beautiful.

Also that scene (yes, we all know which one) was beautifully done. It was sensual, sweet and sexy all at the same time and that's hard to pull off I think.

I've read that people don't think they will last after this series but I disagree. They just had this connection that you can't really explain even if you try to...I've seen couples break up who had everything in common but they just never had that ✨✨✨.

I'm really happy that the Korean BL's are getting out of their comfort zones so they can make beautiful series like these.

a must watch!

What a movie! What an experience!

I loved every part of it but especially the acting. I can't believe that this is the same person that played such an innocent character in 2521. I love that actors don't just stick with one genre but explore and my oh my she's one talented actress indeed.

Furthermore, the story is just top notch. I was shocked when there was this plot twist...and also how weird that a child had to read such vulgar words, but then again it goes with the story, albeit weird. I especially loved how the men were punished at the end. I did not expect a happy ending with that poster but I was pleasantly surprised.

I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who loves and appreciates all kinds of genres, not just romcom.

Imperfect and cute

What a rollercoaster of emotions this show was! First I was sceptical of their relationship because of how it all started. I also didn't like the fact that it wasn't really addressed as much as I wanted it to be.

Then again if I put that aside, there were so many things I did like about the show. For example the chemistry between Vee and Mark was spot on. I hope they make a lot of shows in the future.

I liked the side characters as well and I really hope they redo their shows as they did with Love Mechanics. I haven't seen the ones that were made before but lots of people on here said that this is definitely an upgrade. So watch this one!

It's fine

Infidelity is definitely something I hate and I could never forgive something like that. However, this series shows the complexities of real relationships, not the lovey-dovey fairytale that were used to and...honestly...I even understood why they did what they did, which is very weird for me.

The acting, music, setting and story were okay. It is not a masterpiece but it is worth your time.

I don't mind nudity or sexual content so it doesn't bother me as much. Where all the scenes necessary? No, but it wasn't vulgar like some people say. Believe me I've seen weird and vulgar and this is not it.
