"hero will sacrifice their love to save world, villain will sacrifice world to save their love"

Xiao Lanhua grew on me, and I was relieved to see her character develop. DongFang QingCang was intriguing, and I appreciated his complicated and morally grey character. The supporting characters were amazing, and their stories were as interesting as that of the OTP. In general, all characters were complex and not one-dimensional. I am also glad that supporting characters were not killed off just because. The special effects were phenomenal. The plot was extremely predictable though, and common tropes were used to drive the story. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I do not think I would be rewatching it in its entirety.
