I watched this show due to the ratings and the cast. Sadly, the show didn't meet my expectations. This show is 20 episodes of extended music video. I had to skip through a lot of scenes due to the long-shot-music-on moments. The story line was poorly written, predictable and overly dragged. It was like an ill remake of Boys Over Flowers or something of the same plot.

This drama made me cry so baaaaad! I would have to say that the ultimate magic behind this drama were Kim Yoo Jung and Yeo Jin Goo. Those two child actors completely set the tone for the rest of the show. Their acting was just so impeccable that it makes you believe in love and promises.

The drama made my heart break a million times over and over again. The meeting between the two was so perfectly cute made their parting a million times more painful.

The OST sticks to your head, it was easy to the ears and to the head. The music was also perfect for each of the scenes that they were placed on.

This has always been an all-time favorite of mine. The execution was realistic enough to make me shed more than just a litre of tears. The story developed as naturally as one sleeps and wakes.

I guess I liked it so much because it was somewhat relatable to me. And I think it gave me such a valuable perspective back when I was younger.

The story and execution left such a huge imprint on me that even without actually re-watching it, I could remember almost every scene.

This drama is one of those underrated dramas. The plot was really good. The entire drama was fast-paced and could make one think. It was really nice that the main characters were not the usual stupid, gullible ones. I really liked how the first scene was executed and that gave such a huge impression.

The main antagonist was ice cold creepy and was as evil as evil can be. The child actors were commendable. The girl who played Rang was consistent all-throughout. Lee Dong Wook's character changed through the middle. I liked how he was at first and hoped to see more of that.

There were a lot of love lines. There was this one love line between the two protagonists; however, I felt more chemistry between the Crown Prince and Da In. I was hoping for that to develop more - it actually felt that it would develop some more, but it was suddenly pulled out (?). I really felt like the Won did not need another reason to clear his name. Just having his daughter was enough. Though it was really weird how at first he would always mention Rang and his sister, which changed in the latter part. He should have stuck on with this.

I have a thing for sageuks with convincing evil antagonists. I would have to say that after watching this drama, Lady Mishil has been my icon of sageuk antagonists. She was just soooo good!

Well, enough of my Mishil raving. The story was just splendid. It was this mixture of sadness and joy, of hope and despair, of intrigue and clarity through and through.
It talked about family, love, ambition and all those elements that are hardly on just one drama. The last few episodes were both heartbreaking and fulfilling at the same time.
