A good start

Re-watched rating 9.0 4/15/24Original rating 9.0My introduction to JoongDunk and a good start to this BL drama. I thought Nuea was brave confessing to Kluen the last day of grade 11, but maybe he felt like he had nothing to lose since he was leaving that night.

That last scene!

Not only is LBY totally in lover with CSS, but he is protective of her and will defend her honor even if it breaks with etiquette. In this way, I think she will feel his regard and love for her, if she doesn't already know. But, the cattiness of these court ladies - I can totally do without. "Mean Girls" in historical outfits.I still haven't figured out Yuan Shen. I think he also admires CSS, but has not actually indicated that he likes her. I think he and Yang Yang would make a better couple.

Sometimes, we self-sabotage

When we think it's unrequited love, we tend to self-sabotage instead of being brave enough to admit our feelings to the other person. In Sheng Wang's case, it's even more complicated because he thinks his legal status-to-be (their parents are not even married yet) matters more than his feelings for Jiang Tian. And Jiang Tian has gotten closer to him, but it's been interpreted as brotherly affection, when we all know it's not.

Reunion

This episode had it all: sweet reunion, 5-person night sauna comedy, start of a new couple, heart-pounding garage thriller. Wow!!

Busted!

Kang HaeJun is so very clueless, so I guess the reveal had to be hit-him-over-the-head obvious, so there's no denying it. I laughed out loud at that scene, because it was really about time to have it out in the open. Also, HaeJun's face throughout the series have been so amusing, and this was the best!

Best bromance ever

They finally reconcile, protect each other, take care of each other and all the secrets are out. I feel so lighthearted with their fun interactions,

That ending!!

OMG, we waited so long. They're crying. I'm crying. Now, don't screw it up!! And we got cameos from Love Sick (2014) OG Yuri and Aim talking to their 2024 counterparts. That was such a cool moment.

Do they really gossip that loudly?

What's the deal with gossiping so loudly? Do they really want to be heard by everyone? Doesn't that embarrass them?

Jin's mom is problematic

I understand she has a difference of opinion with her husband but don't take it out on An, who doesn't seem like a bad guy.

Slowly falling in love

He has gotten to know her because she was so demanding earlier. And even when he was uncertain on what to do with her, he still was decent and bought her the basic supplies she would need, all South Korean products. And here he is again, using a scented candle for her to find her way to him in a crowded place.

It took 10 years

Talk about slow. Just kidding. There were many changes from the OG version, but nothing that changes the plot significantly. We're still at the same place, where San Ha confesses to Joo Won, and she doesn't know what to make of him. I'm enjoying the faster pace with fewer filler episodes. We get significant movement in the plot every episode and it's impactful.

OK, Zhi Shu has admitted it, no take backs

Who's the clueless one? Xiang Qin. And I'm not surprised. Zhi Shu has not been forthcoming with her, lest he give his mom power over him and start planning the wedding right away. But, he does know how he feels and that it's different than what he's felt for anyone before. Even Yu Shu knows since he witnessed the kiss at the hospital.

I'm screaming

That kiss, I mean, it was like they're releasing all the build-up from the weeks, months of tension they've been holding in. Holy moly!! YinWar always delivers.

Carriage ride

I was beyond relieved that Fang Fei did not share a carriage ride with her murderer. Duke Su was there on time, as always. And this time, they didn't need words to know how the other one felt. The Duke needed more comforting that she did, as he held onto her hands way too tightly.

Pass the tissues, please

I'm not sure I'll get over that episode. Her meimei deserved better than that. And I suspect Li Shuran was lying to Liu Wencai about that miscarriaged baby being his, just to give him extra incentive to exorcize Jiang Li/Fang Fei.
