Best Korean Drama of 2021
This drama is 100% addictive and really keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first episode on until the very end. This is not your typical korean drama - the story of Squid Game is something completely new and extraordinary. Hopeless adults with more debt than they can ever pay off come together for a survival game consisting of mainly children’s games to hopefully survive and win an insane amount of money in the final game. From being excited, shocked, disturbed, scared, angry and sad, it really is an emotional rollercoaster that made me go through all the emotions.Another thing that was absolutely fantastic about this drama were the many incredible sets that looked so real but so artificial at the same time and really made up the whole atmosphere of the drama. Together with the unsettling music and the amazing acting of the actors and actresses everything just worked together so very well.
Talking about the characters - the actors all did an amazing job. The characters were interesting and each had their individual story and reason to take part in the game. It was interesting to see their relationships with each other as well as the change they went through individually.
This drama had so many plot twists, hidden meanings and connections and really has me craving for more. There has to be a season 2 in the future!!!!
Lastly I do want to warn that this drama is very brutal and gory. So if you can‘t see violence or blood, this might not be a good choice for you!

beautifully made
Hotel del Luna is an amazing drama. Although it took me a few episodes to get truly invested in the story, it left me crying like a baby during the last episode.First of all this drama is just overall very beautifully made. The hotel, the scenery and the outfits (ESPECIALLY IU’s outfits!) are super pretty and pleasing to the eye. This might be one of the most aesthetical kdramas I have ever seen.
Second of all the story is emotional, fun, and investing and the characters are all very likeable. The dynamics between the main leads are great and it‘s fun to see how their relationship changes over time. IU‘s performance really stood out to me, but all the actors did a great job in this one.
Lastly the OST of this drama is amazing and features a lot of popular artists.
Would recommend everyone to watch this kdrama!

oh well…
This drama took me forever to finish and really had me going through a Kdrama slump. I usually really like historical dramas but this one just wasn‘t it for me.The story was rather uninteresting and I feel like 10 episoded would‘ve been enough to tell everything that had to be told. Also it seemed to me as if the plot took several unnecessary turns and tried to tell too many stories instead of focusing on one main plot.
The cast was very good and the chemistry between the lead couple was definitely there, however I would‘ve appreciated a little more depth to Cha Eunwoo‘s character.
The scenery and the traditional houses and Hanboks were beautiful and really nice to watch, however this unfortunately couldn‘t make up for the story to me.
Although not everything about Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung was bad and while the drama had fun and enjoyable scenes from time to time, I would not necessarily recommend it.

Favorite kdrama of all time
I LOVED this kdrama and I will never shut up about it.If you‘re contemplating about watching it, I‘ll encourage you to do so right now!
Story
This story had me hooked and emotionally invested from the first episode until the very end. It was an emotional rollercoaster that had me laughing, crying, and shaking out of anger. I could feel so much empathy and sympathy with Park Saeroyi and just wanted him to fulfill his dream and finally be happy in the end. Another thing I really liked about this drama is that it talked about topics that aren‘t frequently talked about in Kdramas like racism or transsexuality.
Characters/Cast
The cast in this drama was great and Park Seo-joon really killed it with this role. His acting was amazing and so authentic I literally had to remind myself that this is just a role. The side characters were all very unique and interesting and lastly the villains in this one were very well casted and never failed to make my blood boil.
Scenery
This drama and all of its beautiful scenes really made me fall in love with Itaewon. It just really shows the unique charme of this part of Seoul.
OST
Itaewon Class might have one of the best OSTs of all time. The songs were perfect and just so fitting for the drama that just hearing any of them makes me emotional.
No other kdrama has ever moved me as much as Itaewon Class did and I rewatched it like 3 three times already. 10/10.

Obviously the cast is great and while the romance in this drama wasn‘t necessarily the most interesting to me (honestly not a huge fan of Goo Ara in this one), I really enjoyed the chemistry, dynamics and bromances between the Hwarang guys.
To me Hwarang was an enjoyable drama that was easy to watch and made me laugh. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the performance of this great cast and just have a good time.

must watch
Since Goblin is known as such a classic and must-watch kdrama, I finally decided to watch it - and didn’t regret it.At the beginning this drama was a lot more mystical than I expected, but I got used to it pretty quickly and it didn‘t take me long to get invested in the story. I guess it‘s fair to say that Goblin has a quite unique story that is very emotionally investing and made me both laugh and cry. This drama definitely has its fair share of laughs and funny moments, but also serious scenes and moments that made me tear up.
I also loved the cast and their chemistry - especially the bromance between Kim Shin and the grim reaper never failed to make me smile. To be honest - I had to get used to the thought of the age difference between the Goblin and Eun-tak, but their chemistry was still great. I don‘t think I even have to mention Sunny and the grim reaper. <3
This drama has a lot of really pretty shots and scenes in Canada and Korea and I also really enjoyed the OST.
Would recommend!

worth the wait!
I‘ve been waiting for this drama to be available in my country and was so happy when I could finally watch it. And let me tell you - I’ve ever finished a drama so quickly. I mean yes - there were only 10 episodes (which was a pretty good length for this kind of drama imo!) - but I still couldn‘t get enough of this one.First of all the cast in this drama is amazing and I didn’t only love the main characters and their chemistry, but also the side characters and their narratives.
The story might not be the most special or extraordinary one, but it was still really enjoyable and easy to watch. It made me laugh, fall in love with the characters and root for them until the very end. The music was really good as well!
Overall really recommend this one.
