The First Romance that I truly fell for (pun intended)

POST POST SCRIPT: It's been a few months since I last watched this and I've cooled down a bit. I still really like this, mainly because of the chemistry. There is so much chemistry-
POST SCRIPT THAT I SHOVED TO THE BEGGINING OF THIS REVIEW:
The drama is a drama meaning that it does have misunderstandings between characters, but they always handle them quickly (like think one episode or at most two) and maturely. Characters don't hurt those that they love during hard times, they rely on each other. Most of the characters also respect each others privacy.
The parents are bishes.
The end :)

STORY:
Are you looking for a sweet romance where the leads only have eyes for each other? Want chemistry? Want tons of cute moments? Want no crazy drama? Want the leads to have most of the screen time? No super crazy and stupid misunderstandings or break up scenes? Want second leads (cuz these are unavoidable in dramas) that don't really matter? Want reasonable characters? Want heartwarming family moments? Then this drama is for you!
I don't typically watch romances, I like detective, mystery, serial killing, etc. dramas. But this one was just so simple and lovable. My heart beat so fast I thought it would burst every time the leads looked at each other.

ACTING:
If you didn't tell me that these people were actors, I would have thought that they really did truly love each other. The acting is perfect down to the very micromovements of the eyes and lips. The dubbing (which can't be avoided in c-drama) wasn't the best - but surprisingly, the acting was so good that it made up for the voice over completely!

MUSIC:
The music is perfect. It captures the beauty of whimsical first love perfectly. My heart flutters every time at their song choice. The music isn't overly loud or soft, it plays just at the right spot.
The people who produced this drama are masters at playing around with the audience's emotions with different song choices. Also, the piano music that was chosen was amazing! Yes, I get it, the actors all used body doubles... but does that really matter? Its not like they have to learn a whole new skill that should take years just for a drama.

REWATCH VALUE:
I would watch this tens, hundred, thousands of times over and over again if I could (but I don't think my life will be that long LOL).

OVERALL:
Great cast, great story, great script, great message, great feels. The beginning and ending were perfect. The drama talks to its audience quiet literally, they have these sort of "interviews" at the end where different characters talk to viewers about their feelings and its just so amazing all the way through.
The only thing I would change about this is the second leads. The main characters only had eyes for each other and although the second leads were great at acting, it would have been better to not include them. But... you can never ever ever escape second leads in drama world so-
Just watch it. If you don't like it, leave it. If you like it, you've been blessed. MWAH.

huantingly beautiful

The whole production team put their heart and souls into this drama. You can tell just how much they cared about this project and how much they wanted to make an impact with their drama. And they did, this was one of the most beautifully written and impactful dramas I've ever watched.
It tells the tale of growing up, of accepting yourself, of following your dreams, of learning how to be in a healthy relationship and so much more.
Words cannot describe how amazing this drama is. Every little detail from the plants drooping by a roadside to the color of the shirt the characters are wearing is important to the story.
It's like Hansel and Gretyl, little breadcrumbs are being dropped everywhere and you're unable to stop following the trail until you reach the end. Except for this time, the end isn't a witch's hut but a beautiful castle with all that you could ever wish for.

Cute... but not for long

STORY: The story is has a very simple plot-line. Two guys are roommates, one is gay. They both fall for each other, the end...or is it?
The first three episodes were very cute. However, the fourth episode had a few... questionable scenes, mainly, peer pressure to drink wayyy more alcohol than is safe, and non-consensual sex with a drunk/unconscious person (so basically rape). If it hadn't been for these two scenes in the last episode, I would've given this drama a 10/10 because even though its not perfect and obliviously has a cheap budget, you could tell that everyone working on it had lovingly put the show together.

ACTING: The cast did great! Sometimes, the character were over exaggerated but besides that, I really enjoyed their acting!

MUSIC: The music was pretty good, not memorable, but cute and worked with the drama.

EDIT: After watching the special episode, it has come to my attention that the rape scene was misleading. It was meant to make it seem like the MC had been raped when he really hadn't.
I'm not going to change my rating because I really really hate any drama that uses references to rape to help build the romance and keep readers watching because of a misunderstanding.

A bit bland, but cute nonetheless

STORY:
The story had a really nice plot (as you can tell from the summary), but it was littered, and I mean LITTERED with sub plots that were all exactly the same. They used the amnesia subplot at least THREE TIMES and I can't count how many more times the ML was in danger but miraculously survived. There was also the villain getting away with just stabbing someone and not even bothering with the evidence at least 5 times. And of course, we have our must-have FL jumps in front of gun + emotional coma scene (LOL, I'm desensitized to these by now).
The FL didn't add that much to the story either. There was chemistry between the two, but the romance was rushed and the FL was always being a Mary Sue or Damsel in distress (ikr, never thought those two would clash) so it was really hard to relate to any characters.

ACTING/CAST:
The chemistry was there. But the production and directing killed it (still... watch it, the romance and chemistry is cute OvO). All of the scenes had awkward cuts and awkward zooms and you could tell that lots of the actors were over-exaggerating their characters.

MUSIC:
Your average lakorn music.

REWATCH VALUE:
Quite frankly, this drama bored me. It was just a mix of every possible dramatic thing in a drama. There was so many things going on, happening so quickly, that the drama got old real quick. I wouldn't rewatch this one. And I'm up to rewatch almost any other lakorn that I've watched.
If I did rewatch this one, I'd skip around the drama and just watch for the romance~

Did not disappoint

STORY:
The story was actually very well done! I got into it after seeing a few clips on YouTube. I was expecting to be offended by the body-shaming ideas that the story seemed to give off. However, I was pleasantly surprised.
It's a very sweet story about society, self love, and acceptance.

ACTING:
The cast did a great job! I felt everything that the FL felt, and the ML did a good job at making me like him, dislike, then like him again.

MUSIC:
The music was catchy, well written, and meaningful.

REWATCH VALUE:
I usually watch movies and move on. But I wouldn't mind rewatching this one. It was very satisfying to watch from beginning to end and the charm of it doesn't wear off at all.

Cute: not the best, not too bad either

STORY:
The story has a pretty cliche concept which is executed well. The main characters are well developed. The side stories are beautiful, the comedy is amazing. But something about this drama just didn't click with me. I don't know what it is but I never formed an attachment to it. The story was just too much like any textbook kdrama to leave a memorable impression.

ACTING:
The cast did great, all the side characters were amazing. And the main couple always put a smile on my face.

MUSIC:
I'm going to admit it. The music was my favorite part of the drama. When I say music, I mean the instrumentals, not the OST. They were so dramatic and I actually searched up their names and added them to my playlist of study music.

REWATCH:
I'd rewatch this for laughs and giggles. As I said, the comedy in this is amazing. However, I wouldn't rewatch it for the actual story. It's a story that you see so often, that rewatching would just be a bore.

I'm obsessed with this mess

STORY:
The story has a nice plot. It's a bit messed up (if you can't tell from the summary). It's a mix of revenge and childhood friends to lovers. The revenge and romance are perfectly balanced.
Why did I rate the story as 9.5/10 then? Well, the ML treats the FL like sh*t. He does it so that she hates him (I won't expand on this). At the end of their relationship, they're so sweet and cute that you just want to cry from watching them. But I wish that the drama had spent even one minute, just addressing how toxic their relationship at the beginning was.
The drama also has a lot of violence, which is understandable, but it can get a bit hard to watch sometimes (think of this as a trigger warning)

ACTING:
Wow... the acting in this drama is superb. None of the side characters were over-exaggerated, and the main leads were so good, they acted with their eyes, their facial expressions, their whole bodies. It was amazing.
The chemistry was fire too.

MUSIC:
The music was the cherry on top. I got chills whenever I heard the instrumentals and the OST. Lots of lakorns give off this indescribable 2000-2005 feel. This one didn't, it had a modern feel, similar to the ones that you'll find in dramatic kdramas (I know, its a bad analogy, I can't think of a better one) and I think one of the main factors was the music.

REWATCH VALUE:
I haven't rewatched it yet because I'm too busy obsessing over the clips and edits on YouTube. But I would definitely do it.

Adaptation Gone Right

STORY:
The story is a very good story. It's very enjoyable and adorable. The pacing was good and the actions of the characters all made sense. Tven the ending was well written and paced which is something that dramas often fail at doing. Especially BL's.

ACTING:
The cast members were all new to the industry. They did their best and you could tell that they had given their roles their all. They were by no means perfect actors, but they seemed to genuinely enjoy playing their roles which made me enjoy the drama!
Now, I'm just going to note here that I know that the cast is a very fanservice centered cast. This means that they've probably grown very comfortable with each other meaning that they had overflowing chemistry in the drama. I can't wait for season 2!

MUSIC:
The music was your average BL music. It went well with the drama.

REWATCH:
Everything about this drama screamed "rewatch me later!". I've rewatched this two times, and each time I get the same feels/chills that I got when I watched it the first time. It's the perfect drama for you to fangirl/boy over.

Why?

STORY:
The story is a pretty cute concept. However, it wasn't well executed. The drama used every single cliche in the book. It also has way too many misunderstandings between characters. And, out of the pure necessity of more pretty boys/ships, they made almost tons of side couples. The whole drama was created so that there could be as much fan service as possible squeezed out of it.
Putting that aside, the side couple and main couples each had their own unique storylines which were interesting. And I rooted for every couple! The comedy in the drama is pretty funny. The female character was super fun.
From Ep 2-13 (there are 14 episodes) the main couple didn't seem to be the main couple at all. They weren't the main focus of the plot and the only times the story decided to emphasize "By the way, these are the main couple!" was in episodes 1 and 14.

ACTING/CAST:
I gotta admit, the whole cast is aesthetic af. However, besides Lay (King) and Cooper (Bohn), the rest of the cast doesn't seem to have many roles before this drama. It shows. Poy (Duen) has a few awkward scenes, especially the emotional ones. The others do a pretty good job, but you can tell that they're still learning.
This is perfectly understandable for a webseries! And since it's a BL and was obviously created for fanservice rather than the actual story, I'll say that they all did very well. Poy's scenes would've been hard for anyone, they were super emotional and I'm sure that he did his best.

MUSIC:
It's just... music. Not something I would memorize and hum at random times, but it's catchy when you're listening to it and recognizable!

REWATCH VALUE:
I've rewatched it a few times. Its a fun rewatch! Each time you can focus on a different couple.

Breathtakingly beautiful.

I often find that lakorns are very droppable in the first few eps (though they grow on me later on). However, I fell in love with this one from the very start.

STORY:
The story is really cute. It's such a simple concept yet the writers managed to turn it into a beautiful masterpiece. There are some parts of the drama that I personally would not have thought of writing in (the hacking subplot) but other than that, I found every single second of the story enjoyable.

ACTING:
The acting was AMAZING. The two actors had great chemistry and during the scenes where they showed how much they loved each other, I almost forgot that this was a drama and that they weren't a real couple.
The side characters were a bit harder to love. They were very dramatic, so much so that it was hard to like their characters. However, this is a lakorn and all side characters are like that, so I'll let it slide.

MUSIC:
The music is by no means memorable. However, it goes well with the theme and story of the drama.

REWATCH VALUE:
I've seen this drama at least 4 times already. And each time with the same amount of enjoyment. Each time, I notice another small detail that was lovingly put into it by the creators of the drama, and every time, I become more and more obsessed.

A thai lakorn at its very finest.

I'm going to be very liberal with my rating. This is a lakorn, and being a lakorn ,the story has many flaws.

STORY:
Storywise, this is a very common type of Lakorn to find. The plot is simple yet interesting. I won't talk about it much because you can gather what the story is about from the summary. The writing of the story could have been a bit better. Characters often seem to do something just for the plot, and they are often very illogical and blood-boiling-annoying to watch, Being a lakorn, this and some unwanted violent and non consensual scenes. The scenes were unnecessary and by no means did they add any enjoyment to the watch value. However, this is a lakorn and these things are expected so overall, I'd say that I enjoyed the story!

ACTING/CAST:
The actors did their best with what they were given. I've noticed that lakorns often have awkward transitions (not the actors fault), and this drama has plenty of those.
There were many emotional scenes and I think that the actors all did a great job.

MUSIC:
The music is typical lakorn music. However, I didn't feel like the music matched the scenes all the time. For instance, when a couple was having a serious argument over their relationship or if an important plot twist was being revealed, there would be playful music playing in the background. And, when there was just some normal romantic scene going on, dramatic music would start playing in the background.

REWATCH VALUE:
The story is a good one. The cast did a good job. If I were bored I would totally rewatch it with liberal use of the skip button.

JiTaew's cherry on the top

STORY: The story was really intriguing. There are many parts of it that I would have loved to change , mainly, the extreme violence in it, but I understand why it was there.
Everything in the drama made sense, and the way that the main characters handled their emotions was really realistic (besides the fact that they were perfectly okay with people being able to see the past LOL).
If you've ever watched the other JiTaew dramas and liked them - watch this one. It's a mix of all of the JiTaew dramas with Payakorn Sorn Ruk sprinkled over it.

ACTING: The main leads did an amazing job.
The action scenes looked pretty fake, and the villains weren't that great at the "MWAHHAHAHAHHAA" laughs. But besides those two issues, everyone was pretty convincing!

MUSIC: The BG music went along well with the story. The OST was also super cute!

Almost there

STORY:
The story was a very cute and well thought out story. Everything connected, no plot holes, and it seemed to be the average BL.

ACTING:
Most of the cast did great, They were funny and played their roles well. However, I felt zero chemistry between the main leads and after watching their behind the scenes, the obvious discomfort between the two made me turn away form the main couple completely. Knowing that they were uncomfortable with each other made me feel uncomfortable watching them acting together.

MUSIC:
The music was really cute...at first. But then it became really repetitive. If I have to hear "1 2 3 I love you" one more time-

REWATCH:
As I said, the story is very well, written and totally worth the watch. However, I wouldn't rewatch this. It's one of those dramas that is very charming the first time. But after a second or third time the charm starts to wash off.

I'm confused but pleased

I'll keep this review short.

STORY:
The plot has many holes, is messy, unrealistic, confusing, and not well paced. However, it is a cute story about the two boys. There's also a few well developed side characters. It's a fun drama to watch!

ACTING:
The cast did a great job with what they were given. The chemistry is amazing.

MUSIC:
It's decent music, not the most memorable.

REWATCH VALUE:
Unless I was rewatching this to understand the drama more, I wouldn't recommend it.

Sit back and enjoy.

STORY:
The story is just like any body-swap story! It is NOT A BL, it was not advertised as a BL, do NOT EXPECT THE SHOW TO BE FOCUSED ON BL. It has an LGBTQ+ aspect which is not the main focus.
Overall, the story is really cute and fun to watch. It tries to impart a few morals to its viewers such as how being too selfless is not a healthy thing, and that sometimes you need to let go. Being the light hearted comedy that it is, the plot may have a few holes in it, but nothing that'll really haunt you.

ACTING:
The acting was superb. I could feel the emotions of the characters without them even saying anything. Their eyes said everything.

MUSIC:
The music was cute and catchy.

NOTE:
You may have seen many glorified reviews/comments/thoughts about this drama. DO NOT let them get to your head. The more you expect from a drama, the more you will be disappointed. Just sit back and enjoy, don't think too much!
