Chaser Game W: A Delightful GL Drama That Leaves You Craving More
Chaser Game W delivers a refreshingly complex take on the GL genre, especially within an Asian context. If you're a fan of Asian GL dramas, this one is essential viewing. While it might lack the intense emotional turmoil often found in Western GL, it offers a more balanced, nuanced perspective on relationships.Sugai Yuuka (Itsuki) and Nakamura Yurika (Fuyu) exhibit wonderful chemistry, anchoring a story that juggles workplace dynamics, cross-cultural challenges, marital issues, and the complexities of child-rearing. The limited series format slightly hinders its ambitions, but ultimately leaves you wanting more.
The ending hints at potential continuation, but feels somewhat rushed as a conclusion. I'd love to see a big-budget remake that explores these themes further while maintaining the core cast and easing back slightly on the emphasis on cultural differences.

Transit Girls is the best love story
Transit Girls is the best love story you will come across in such a short format. Possibly in any format. Everyone in the story is a fully formed 3-dimensional character. It does not rely on stereotypes of any kind or typical LGBT story lines. They will make you laugh and cry and they will warm your heart in places you didn't know existed. Many LGBT stories attempt to teach a lesson of some sort, this story shows you what can happen if you have already learned those lessons. Its a true joy from beginning to end. Yui and Sayuri will live happily and rent free in your heart for a long time. Was this review helpful to you?
