Cried my Soul out
I really really hope for a season 2 and FAST!!I think yesterday was its 2 year anniversary which I can't believe its already been this long??? The hell are they doing waiting this long to give us another season????
Seriously though, this kdrama will tug at your heartstrings and make you weep like a child. I even got my mother to watch this and shes not the biggest fans of kdramas but she loved this one, that says a lot!
Not one episode will leave you bored, everything is just well paced and interesting- every character has their own story and its always so beautifully told and revealed. The scene where his father died tho...Goddamn. Cried my soul out, I feel like that also felt so unnecessary even though it lowkey was necessary for the plot but whatever!!! It sucked going through that, the dad was the sweetest :(((((

This is one of those kdramas that make you feel empty once youre finished because you develop such a strong connection between the characters and feel as if youre the one living their life or atleast being a part of their life. It makes you think about your life in such a philosophical way...like was it ever that deep? Lol, it made me want to be zen about everything, like everything will be alright, why am I stressing so much when everything evetually passes? Why am I so stuck on this? Everything finds its own path and that person you're looking for will come to you one day, whether you're the type to wait or not, they will come- because fated things always happen. Your fate is not overlooked, your time will come and you will enjoy things again. Its just such a beautiful kdrama with a beautiful message..please if you ever feel low or in need of a slightly dark yet pure kdrama, then this is it really! Every episode will not make you bored.

WOAH JUST ...WOAH
today i finally finished my mister kdrama and i….i have so many things to say about this one. first of all i got this recommended by a tiktoker, the person first said ‘this kdrama changed the way i live’ that might’ve been a little exaggerated but honestly …i did not expect it to have this much of an impact on me. i don’t speak about kdramas like this often but you could’ve probably guessed by the ones i do post that i watch romantic based dramas mostly. and dramas like my mister which don’t contain romance at all aren’t usually up my taste because i don’t like serious stuff— especially when they leave an impact on me. what i mean by that is basically they leave me with a feeling i can’t explain. i feel this way when a movie or a tv show ends in a sort of happy way but im not satisfied with it but i can’t do anything about it…and that’s how it felt with this kdrama. i’ve cried so much watching it, and i don’t cry that much when i watch shows or movies. at first my perspective on the show was romanticised, which is something i despise about my brain. why do i always have to make everything romantic?…but watching it further and getting attached to characters and realising that the point in this story wasn’t romance but the connection you make with a person. whether it be platonic or not, which was the case in here. i wanted both of the main leads to end up together which is actually a really bad idea cus of the age gap😭 but when you grow further into the story i realised just how much of an impact a non romantic ship can have on me…which has never happened before. i’m not sure what to call the main leads’ dynamic. maybe father daughter duo? but that sounds kinda fucked because the girl liked him…so i’ll just stick with soulmates. because— AGGHH i can’t explain why, you just have to watch. they care for each other so deeply when no one else did, and though there was love which was one sided- the story wasn’t focused on that. it was focused on their support for one another and how even though there was something unreciprocated separating them, they couldn’t just let go of one another like that. idk…sorry for the rant- i just really love this kdrama..yup
i feel like at start i shipped donghoon and jian as well but they’re so much more better when they grew as close friends. there’s many people saying they would’ve appreciated a ‘kiss’ or a real hug but wouldn’t have that just ruined everything? i get that donghoons wife cheated on him which is a big part of why i ended up shipping him with jian in the first place (she treated him mmuuuuuch better) but from donghoons perspective that would just be out of character and just…wrong. he has a kid he needs to still raise, making him fall in love with a 20 year old just because she showed kindness to him at his worst stage would make his character very different in my opinion. donghoon knew jian liked him but he never let that ruin what they had, and i loved that. he drew a line between them and understood that this was just a pitiful soul just like him who seeked comfort and that happened to be him ..and he seeked comfort in jian as well. thats what made this story so compelling to watch. they loved each other so much, and i truly believe donghoon might even love jian more than his own wife (which is understandable). i feel like i could rant about this kdrama forever holy fuck😭😭😭

Okay being completely honest here, I started this kdrama because of Rowoon but man...this kdrama was so boring. Most of the time the plot just kept circling around and doing the same thing over and over again. I was just praying it would get a little bit more interesting as episodes kept playing. And if Im being honest the main characters who ended up together in the end didnt even seem all that much in love with each other lol...it just seemed like they tired each other out before their relationship could even start. But I digress.. If the kdrama wants us to believe that they got married happily ever after then so be it! Not many likeable characters in here though...really had a tough time liking anyone. Welp
Like I said before, Suzy bae is one of my favourite actresses of all time along with Nam Joohyuk so you'd think this'll be a biased review but if im being totally honest, this was also one of those kdramas where it was just really a drag to get through. Suzys silly acting and humor along with Joohyuks is what made it a bit more bearable tbh. Seonho as well, I love him as an actor and he did so well as well. Both of the love interests made it hard for me to choose a lane because I honestly liked Suzy with both of them! Really overall well done but it was boring at times! Was this review helpful to you?

Well...that was something
I'm gonna tell you rn that I already watched all three seasons and i can easily say season 1 will never be beaten. SUCH A GOOD WELL DONE KDRAMA! The drama, the subtle humor, the action, romance aaahhhhhhhhhhhh JUST YES!! A long kdrama which allows so much development between characters which is what makes it so good. BUT....Holy shit what are the last two seasons? From killing characters unnecessarily to making one of the actors literally be lowkey racist towards the black people??? Bruh,,, I know yall know what I'm talking about. Them making that guys twin be a dude w dreadlocks and talking in a blaccent was NOT it. But yeah, season 1 outsold. Was this review helpful to you?
where do find this bar…??
i think i saw somewhere a long time ago, people talking about a show or a movie about a bar appearing out of nowhere and the bartender listens to everyones struggles. i was always intrigued by this plot idea and wondered if it would ever come to life. much to my surprise, netflix recommended me this show with the exact same premise and of course i had to watch!!first of all, if you watched the k-drama ‘tomorrow’, it’s almost the exact same. people come to them and they settle grudges, in tomorrow, the ‘entities’ find people who are on the brink of giving up their life and save them. it’s essentially the same idea, and since tomorrow is one of my favourite shows, this was really nice to watch and made me have a feeling like i was watching tomorrow’s twin show!
i liked everything about it. the plot, the comedy, the reveals, plotwists- you name it.
even the characters were cool! i really have nothing to complain about. although i have to admit, some of the major reveals in the show were so easy to spot so they didn’t really come off as shocking lol…i was more so happy and excited everytime i got a guess correct.
such a wonderful story with a beautiful message! i recommend it!

Better than S1 and S2
If i’m being honest, amongst the other seasons, this one by far was the most interesting one to me. Plotwise and actionwise, it was very entertaining and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they did better than some shows would when they make a third season.Though I think there were many unnecessary deaths (won’t spoil who but I mean..most deaths that happened were pretty predictable and stupid)
And yes I liked this season better but only plotwise. Everything else seemed to remain the same, acting wasn’t all that better and the monsters are still goofy looking, I don’t know- they’re supposed to be scary but they just look incredibly funny and so very obviously fake. And I guess that won’t ever change because the whole point of this show is people turning into all kinds of monsters.
The ending was a bit confusing imo, I have no idea how Hyunsu ended up bringing back that little kid from monsterazation when he was literally goo???
And if it’s been revealed that monsters can be reborn and turn into neohumans, why couldn’t Yisu do the same? I thought she’s already neohuman so she couldn’t die— actually I don’t really remember what happened with her in the end but I doubt she actually died…Yeah, the ending was a little too vague for me.
Overall it was pretty entertaining though and action this season was neat. Lots of unnecessary deaths but I guess for the sake of shock value they had to do something.

perfect movie
man where do i begin…first off, i started this movie because i kept seeing edits of it all over tiktok (yeah my source is tiktok unfortunately 😞) but doesn’t matter because either way i’m grateful i got introduced to this banger of a movie.
the beginning of the movie was lowkey insane and confusing, me and my friend watched it together and we kept having theories of what was going to happen and what was happening throughout it, it was really fun to try and guess how predictable it is.
regardless of its predictability, theres a whole other side to the movie in which you will NOT be able to predict…like…at all…😭 the movie takes the craziest turns and then mellows it out by giving us a sweet coupley scene and then something crazy happens again- the thing is, i would’ve thought this whole movie is just a big nothing burger if it wasn’t funny- but the movie is HILARIOUS!!! 😭 like genuinely, i don’t think i’ve ever laughed this much at a korean movie. their humor back in the day was truly unmatched.
although this movie was like, 2hours, swear it did not feel like it was that long at all. it went by so fast and after it ended it made you feel that strange empty feeling. that feeling that gets you like “oh man, i wish this didn’t have to end.” that type of feeling.
this movie also doesn’t have any kissing scenes or anything of that nature which honestly surprised me since it kept going in the most provocative direction in the beginning (and honestly throughout the movie too) , the entire thing was so adorable and incredibly done. the plotwist in the end had left both me and my friend in shock and excitement- although it gets you a bit frustrated by the time the couple clearly fall for each other, the story has a very beautiful ending that makes the entire movie come together in a beautiful way.
the chemistry between the actors was also a thing to note, so beautiful, till this day i have no idea how actors don’t fall for each other when they have these type of roles lol
overall, the movie is great! comedy, romance and entertainment- you have it all packaged right there. the only reason i didn’t give it a ten is because some parts of the movie were a lil too weird for me (and somehow brushed away lol, like the constant motel scenes and the ML’s lowkey pervvy thoughts throughout the movie although im glad they didnt make it into a huge part of his personality) and the movie was honestly super confusing at times that i genuinely had trouble figuring stuff out , the cut scenes were sometimes a bit sudden and would leave you confused but i guess that was the movies whole point since its very uhhhh,,, well, you just gotta watch the movie to get it!
nonetheless, i won’t act too nitpicky, the movie was really good and thats all you need to know- the nitpicks i pointed out are just some things that bothered *me* personally but overall its really good and i enjoyed it very much. i was invested the entire time and loved both of the characters despite them both being crazy lol.
super great movie! and if you love old-esque looking movies + korean movies then you’re especially going to enjoy this! (lil tip, you can watch this entire movie on youtube…thats what me and my friend did lol…enjoyyy)

Forbidden love…crimes, tension, cheating, everything.
The first time I was introduced to this movie was when RM from BTS came out with his single, “Closer”. The music video was this movie, and I was immediately intrigued. However I never got to watch it. Later, my friend told me she watched the movie, and said it was one of the best movies she ever watched. Once again it got added into my movie list, and yet, I still haven’t gotten to watching it.Only today, while I was bored and in need of watching something, closer by RM was non stop replaying in my head, and I decided to watch it.
First off, I was caught off guard by the fact that this movie was 2 hours long.
I knew a little about the movie through my friend…”insomniac detective falls for one of his suspects.” Hmmm…sounds romantic right? What could they possibly need 2 hours for?
Then everything started confusing me.
The insomnianc detective in question was married, and the FL aka the suspect, was a widower, suspect of the murder of her late husband.
I was confused. Was this going to be an affair love story?
I didn’t like that one bit. If there’s one thing I dislike, it’s when writers try to make affairs seem romantic, to some extent I would’ve tolerated it if both parties had terrible partners, but that wasn’t the case at all. Well, I guess not the case for the detective, who was the one who silently initiated things in the first place.
I wondered why my friend praised this movie so much, and even though they never do anything physical in the first few minutes of the movie, there was definitely emotional cheating involved.
But I didn’t want to jump into anything since I wasn’t even halfway into the plot. So I trusted the process.
Things unravelled, and the plotwists kept me on my toes. But still, I could not find it in me to like the main characters. They both kept finding ways to make things worse for each other, but, you know how the quote goes..”The heart wants what it wants.” And that was very much the case for these two.
Towards the ending of the movie, I started feeling a little empathetic towards them. The tension, the struggle, the love albeit it being wrong. Everything was so well done, that at the end of everything I couldn’t even find it in me to be mad at them!
The ending broke me. And although I couldn’t understand why the two main characters did the things they did, and although I would still not support them and their actions, my heart ached for them regardless.
Amazing movie, amazing acting, and amazing camera work. I’m not usually a big fan of cinematography where they try to be too creative with their zoom ins and transitions and makes it feel like you should just focus on the camerawork rather than the movie itself, but they made you pay attention to both. The small zoom ins, and the way the camera is telling you, “Pay attention to this!” and you can’t help but listen and do so.
I recommend it, although the beginning is a little slow (in my opinion), everything gets better as the story goes on.

Watchable but disappointing
I found out about this movie after people pointed out that the actress from Atypical Family K-drama (the FL’s ‘sister’) was in a lesbian movie, and of course I was intrigued.Korea doesn’t produce many GLs or lesbian centered movies (atleast not now), so I always look forward to watching a new one, but this movie is just too vague. Half of the time I had to fill in the gaps myself on what was happening, and the abrupt cuts they would have between some scenes (e.g the scene where she was talking to that guy in the junkyard about her gf and him asking her why she was being sensitive over him wanting to meet her gf and then her moving away and then the scene just cuts) There’s more examples, I’m sure you would notice them too. However the chemistry between the actresses was also not that good, I was expecting a lot more but throughout the movie it felt like Jisoo wasn’t reciprocating any of the feelings back and she was just with her for fun. I wanted to enjoy this movie, seeing two people in love but it turned bleak so fast and it remained that way throughout the movie.
But I guess the stereotype of lesbians wanting to move in with each other immediately after getting together is true 🤣
Overall, the movie isn’t that bad, it talks about homophobia though very briefly and they never really get into it too much. It felt like everytime they touched a new topic in the movie, it wouldn’t be brought up again at all.
I wasn’t satisfied with the ending either, like I said, too vague. But the beginning was cute I guess.

Wattpad fanfic belike
Honestly I don’t have anything bad to say about this lol. I don’t think the K-Drama was supposed to be anything high quality or amazing, I mean hello they had EXO in their casting, didn’t need anything more right?🤣It was a really quick watch which I liked a lot, the comedy there was good and I’ve had many moments where I giggled- either from the goofy brother or giggle-blush from Chanyeols flirting.
I’m not an EXO-L, but I really enjoyed this. I wish more idols made this type of content. I know if I saw BTS do this I would faint lol (good kind of fainting not the jealous kind fr)
It’s a cute little childhood friends to lovers trope, though there’s nothing explicitly romantic happening (no kissing) , it was still cute and enjoyable. And Sehun with the brother was also a cute plot.
Its a fun little quick watch, nothing special to rate though. If you’re an EXO-L you’ll probably enjoy this a loooot more than I did 🤣

Movie that makes you feel like you’re constantly on edge
Alright to be fair I kind of didn’t know what the hell was going on throughout the movie but that was just because I watched it on an app that translated it really badly- so most of the time I just had to guess what they were trying to say LMAOBut , I do have to say this movie kept me on my toes. I wanted to start this mainly because of Kim Seonho because I Looooove his acting, and he definitely showed how much of a versatile actor he is, because after seeing him in such a serious/badass light- I want to see him in a romantic one too!!
Anyway to go back to the movie, I really liked the concept and the theme of it, although I think the pacing was a little messy because half of the time I got confused about what the hell was happening, unless that was the point of the movie…then they did a great job.
Towards the end though, I wish they gave a little bit more of a solid reason why Seonhos character decided to help Marco instead of the whole ‘they’re both from the same organisation’, like why the sudden change of heart? He was going to earn money either way. But I guess that doesn’t really matter, the story wasn’t about him I guess.
And I also wished they maybe explained why the fake dad was so insistent on Marco to stay, they had me seriously convinced that they were father and son— unless that old man just wanted him to stay to get his surgery lol…
Anyway the thought of being in that situation is honestly terrifying but the plotwist was crazy, but nonetheless a very sweet ending.
I also can’t help but wonder if maybe Marco and Seonhos character could be related? But maybe those were just my hopes speaking. They look nothing alike to be related LOL but still, they have the potential I guess.
Overall the movie was pretty entertaining , a bit confusing but good. Kim Seonho doesn’t disappoint! Very good action movie!!

Stranger things vibes
At first it was a little boring and had a slow start, I had a really hard time watching it and figured I might drop it, but then my friend started watching it and she went a lot further with the show and started to talk to me about how good it is and that I should continue it, so I listened, and i’m glad I did!!!Trust me, once they get into the hospital (wink wonk), shit goes DOWN! It’s so good.
The arcs built up, the way they connect things to each other and the way all of it slowly gets revealed.
I don’t want to spoil much but to say overall, this gave me a lot of stranger things vibes at first and I was lowkey here for it, they did it really well— it was like….watching schindlers list mixed with strangers things almost?
The betrayals the sacrifices, this will bring you to tears, truly. Also the ending had me jump out of my seat!!!! I hope season 2 happens!
I never really liked the actor (park seojoon) and didn’t think he and han sohee fit each other but they showed their chemistry and i enjoyed it a lot.
Its a good watch, 10eps, perfect honestly, they didn’t drag it out (except for maybe a little in the beginning but then again i am very impatient) , built the drama up well, every new ep something new gets revealed, although theres still some plotholes like (***spoiler) how does lady maeda know about chaeoks mother and what kind of teacher was she to her? why were they so deeply connected that lady maeda remembers her? also was the japanese painter in love w chaeoks mother?😂 this one is just my personal theory.
Anyway I recommend this! Good watch!
