bittersweet ending
I had a lot of expectations and have been waiting for this drama since the teaser came out esp when I saw the cast because I was so excited that they finally have their main roles but when I watched it, I didn't absolutely love it still, I enjoyed it. there are a lot of familiar faces in the show and the cast did a really great job in portraying their roles.but honestly wished that they cut this into like 10 episodes only, I feel like there are a lot of unnecessary scenes, and do I need to mention the frustrating and annoying characters.
I really don't get why they included Cheong san's mom scene of her going to school to save his son but when she got there she immediately became a zombie sklsjjd there are a lot of wasted characters!! ++ the half zombies esp. gwinam and eunji, I wanted to see eunji fighting w/ gwinam like she should've taken revenge on him. they built eunji's character like she's gonna take revenge but didn't instead they made her break phones and ride a bike. also, namra's character has big potential in the story but I feel like her character as a half-zombie hasn't been given much attention. I feel like out of all the three half-Zs, namra is the powerful one because of her knowing how to switch it on/off. but also wished that she fought with gwinam more or smth.
Overall, when it comes to zombies, S.Koreans really never fail. no need for S2 unless the next season would be focusing on the half zombies or smth but tbh Nah. One season is enough. anyways, love the bathroom team!!
if we are gonna be in a zombie apocalypse, the only zombies that I have a chance of surviving living with are the walking dead zombies. definitely not the WWZ, train to Busan, kingdom, and this. lol

this would've been much better as a movie
tbh this would've been much better as a movieI heard that this was supposedly a movie but Netflix or idk who insisted it is made as a series instead. nevertheless, it has amazing casting, acting, and cinematography, bae doona + gong yoo (never thought I'd need these two in one screen) the CGI is pretty good, not amazing but also not terrible.
also, why does lee Joon always have to be a villain *sighs* but I agree he's perfect for the role + luna is so pretty and cute!!!
overall, for a Netflix kdrama show, this was pretty good, it has slow pacing but is not boring. So, if you are a Sci-fi lover and if you're okay w/slow burn dramas. then I'd say watch this show.
At the end of the day, it'll all comes down to personal preference whether you'll like it or not. and for me, I actually like it, not my favorite but I like it bcs it's so different from the other kdramas which is enough for me to get my interest to watch it.

what just happened?
I've been watching kdramas for so long...IDK what to feel about the whole show, I definitely expected too much that when I finished it, it didn't live up to my expectations which made me so disappointed. The whole story was all over the place tbh.
The sudden cut after episode 3, the time jump Idk how I feel abt that but it's not a good feeling. The story is actually really good but how they execute it and put it all together was kind of not it. I've never had so many questions on a show and finished it without even getting a single answer.
The cast was actually really impressive, bcs I've watched these actors and they are really good but there is no character development in this show and I feel like there is really no main character. Overall, I can't say that it is one of the best kdramas this 2021 bcs it's not. But I'm looking forward to season 2 bcs that was IDK what happened, the ending, and everything but I'm still gonna look forward to the next season. Hopefully, it will be so much better!

AN UNDERRATED GEM, A MASTERPIECE.
I went into this without expecting that I'll finish the show in just one day, literally. I absolutely know nothing about baseball and I'm def not into sports. But not even once I was confused about the story because of my lack of knowledge about the sport. So if that is what's keeping you from watching this show, then rest assured bcs it's far more than just baseball. But this drama, wow. Solid writing from the first episode up until the last. Great storyline and brilliant acting. I believe there were no unnecessary scenes or fillers in the story. Each episode is like a piece of a puzzle that needs to be there in order to complete the whole puzzle.
This show is not your typical heartwarming sports drama/film where you see the worst team winning miraculously because of just one person. It's so much more. This show isn't actually about the sport (baseball), it's about the people. The people behind the sport, the management. It's a political and power-struggle drama. It is both a character and plot-driven show. It gives a deeper understanding of what goes on behind the scenes of a professional sports team. There is hardly any on-field action throughout the whole show which I was first worried about.
The cast did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Not just the main leads but all of the cast. They all have significance to the story and are well incorporated into the main plot. One thing I also enjoyed is the main villain's character. They had their fair share of character development. Which makes me love a character I hate at the beginning by the end of the show.
It was not a fast nor a slow-paced drama, it just flows naturally. without any boring scenes or episodes.
I honestly could watch another season of this show focusing on Mr. Baek and his next team. Though I'm attached ofc with the Dreams team but i can't help but be curious.
Now I understand why it won the 56th Baeksang Best Drama Awards 2020 for a reason, definitely deserved. It was not underrated in S.Korea but internationally it is and i wish many people would also watch it.
Overall, it was a great drama. An underrated masterpiece. I enjoyed every episode of it. It's been a while since I really fell inlove with a show. That's how much i love this show.
DREAMS! DREAMS! DREAMS!
