best show i've ever watched in my life
im now sobbing: not because the ending was particularly sad but because this is an absolutely beautiful masterpiece and i'm heartbroken it's over. the storytelling is the most magnificent i've ever seen and believe me, I've read hundreds of books. the utter depth and credibility given to the characters by the phenomenal prowess of the actors has me amazed. they couldn't have chosen a better cast - the characters really live and breathe out of the screen. this will definitely be a show im going to rewatch and rewatch and even read the book.I hate to admit it, but the original reason I started this was for the infamous romance between the main leads that had me intrigued. but I never could have anticipated binge-watching this 50-episode show all in a week, not just because of the romance, but because I fell in love with the characters and story.
the acting is incredible and paired with the sheer depth that the author gave the many characters, it's truly beautiful to witness their stories. from wen ning, wen qing, xue yang, jiang cheng, yanli, meng yao, lan xichen, lan sizhuan/a-yuan (gosh that last episode when he remembers wei ying had me bawling, i love yuan and the familial love between him and wei ying and lan zhan!!!). all the characters had me utterly intrigued, with their complex moral dilemmas and the duplicitous traitors even more interesting to observe.
every relationship dynamic was so beautifully crafted and the sheer vast amount of characters had me rooting for all of them, but especially wei ying.
but of course, the relationship between wei ying and lan zhan had me swooning - no wonder the best romances come from stories which do not have "romance" as the main focus of genre. because their love was so organic and pure and built from friendship that I couldn't help but root for them. despite lan zhan having few lines, his ethereal presence and the way in which he says Wei Ying's name or the way in which he uses his eyes convey more than enough emotion. truly the actors are so skilled.
and the music!! the wangxian theme tune and all the scenes that go along with it, the stares full of longing, the sheer love that's blatantly clear through the screen - you'd have to be a blind and stubborn fool not to see it. because the best love stories are those where the characters show their love, not state it.
all in all, mzds will now become my entire personality and I strive to perhaps even read the book and the the author's other works and adaptations.
if there was one drama I would recommend anyone, it would be this. please, if you're reading this because you're unsure whether to watch the untamed, just watch it. although the prospect of 50 episodes may seem daunting at first, I assure you, I was utterly dejected when I was nearing the end. it didn't even feel like enough.

sultry, compelling, subtle
This drama is about giving in to your deep guilty pleasures, for once not caring about the rigid standards of relationships in society in order to lose yourself in this work of art.The alluring soundtrack, the deep emotions conveyed by just a single stare, the subtle-but-clearly-there tension. "Nevertheless" is quality. It cares not about the standard and seeks to break the mould and honestly? It's refreshing. I do not care what is perceived as "right" or "wrong". This is about immersing yourself in a drama that doesn't care about the consequences.
The sexual tension is on peak and I'm here for it.

such a sweet, achingly innocent romance that will make you smile until your cheeks hurt
Honestly, I absolutely adore this drama. The dynamic between the genius scientist and our lovely heroine, Situ Mo, who are forced to live together due to unforeseen circumstances was tooooooo cute to watch. Gu wei yi's numerous failed attempts to gain Momo's love and his need to seek advice from his physics teacher had me laughing on end. I especially enjoyed the little drama that would occur in Gu wei yi's physics lab - all (well, most) the characters are so heartwarming and good. This lighthearted yet still addictive cdrama is something I didn't know I needed, especially after all the heavier stuff I've been watching."Put your head on my shoulder" is an absolute must for lovers of romance and fluff.

pure serotonin
You know that feeling when you feel both empty and sated after watching your favourite drama? That's me right now, after this masterpiece. I cannot recommend it enough. "A Business Proposal" has everything you'd ever need and more and honestly a story hasn't made me smile and laugh this much in a while now. For that I am forever grateful to this show: the beautifully developed characters, achingly cute romance, and let's not forget Samantha and Rachel everyone. It had me wheezing and cackling at ungodly hours of the day because the comedy is on peak. All the actors chosen are perfect and safe to say I'm in love with all 4 main leads. My only regret is that I wish we got a steamy office scene like the one on the cover :/Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, is that if you haven't watched this drama, you need to, and if you did but didn't like it, please, purchase yourself a life.

the show I recommend to everyone
"The King's Affection" has a special place in my heart. Not only are the costumes and set very visually appealing and satisfying to watch, but what intrigued me the most was the unique dynamic between the prince and the tutor. I adored Rowoon in "Extra-ordinary You" and his character in this drama is even better - the slightly eccentric tutor who is star-struck over the prince and follows him wherever he goes like an obsessed puppy, thinking himself insane for loving a man but despite this doing nothing to stop himself. lol. Park Eun-bin is also outstanding in her portrayal of the cold calculating prince Lee Hwi and it was enthralling to watch.20 episodes may seem long but honestly for me, I was itching to watch the next episode every Monday and Tuesday, and it is in fact one of the few dramas I have actually completed from start to end. The premise enchanted me ever since I'd heard about it a few months prior to its release and I was not disappointed when I could finally get my hands on it. For any of you hesitating to watch this, I say, be bold, and just watch it. If you have taste, you won't regret it.

humorous & romantic
Honestly such a heart-warmingly cute drama with just the right balance of raw emotion, comedy, achingly sweet romance and gorgeous actors. Binged it in 3 days and I don't regret it. I am such a simp for Qianqian and Han Shuo's romance; it was so sweet my mouth hurts. The costumes were stunning and even though I teared up at times, Qianqian and Zi Rui's antics never failed to lighten the mood. All in all, I highly recommend this cdrama if you're in need of a good historical romance because you won't be disappointed.
