Ive just binged this- all 50 episodes and just like being a meth amphetamine addict- its addictive but not always in a good way.
Im a Luo Jin (oh my- I can watch a film of just him doing his soliloquies to no one in particular for 50 eps ) and Tiffany Tang fan so they were the islands of joy in the river of really quite ridiculous plot twists.
I would say 1/3 of the series is people crying in slow motion .. (i would change speed to 200% on these scenes )so be prepared to be manipulated by constant violin music.
The good things are that it does pose some realistic dilemmas when faced with challenges to our values. Its also quite unrealistic too in many ways and dont get me started on wether its good writing, There is a good heart at its centre and despite the righteousness level turned up to a level out of this universe (incredibly annoying) its main story is entertaining and intriguing enough to root for (some) of the characters.
