France❧ Hi there! Hope you're well and safe ☙
I love dramas and movies (mostly Japanese and Chinese), TV shows (mostly Korean and Chinese) and I'm especially fond of OSTs/soundtracks (particularly Chinese). I also love to analyze and have deep conversations about dramas and movies.
I watch a lot of productions at the same time but I'm hyperfocused and finish the ones I like best first. I have a very low tolerance for what I dim boring and for contents that I consider have let down the basics of human intelligence. Hence why I'm a serial dropper and on-holder.

✪❤☠ HOW I RATE DRAMAS AND MOVIES ✪❤☠
Notation is obviously a very subjective process. I've chosen to rate each drama/movie apart from one another and I don't compare the ratings to adjust the whole. I only rate dramas and movies that I've completed. For the dramas that I've dropped, I usually don't mention the number of episodes I've watched nor rate them.
Basically, as long as I don't drop, I'm actually quite generous and simple to please. I easily give one or two more points just because I've loved critical elements (like a well-written character, superb costumes, on-point ambience, the chemistry between the cast, stunning visual ideas, deep social commentaries...). But conversely, I don't "penalize" an enjoyable drama if there's distasteful minor elements in it (like crappy CGI, overused tropes... You can't penalize a drama for having tropes and clichés in it, can you? We can debate about it in my DMs :)).
>> ❖ LIST OF MY FAVORITE DRAMAS ❖ <<
10 . ✪✪✪ Stellar quality! Currently, there's only one drama to which I've given this rating. Because eventhough I love many dramas very much, for me, they still lack in several departments. It could be because of: lack of originality (or worse: clichés-ridden), unbalanced pacing, unconvincing suspension of disbelief, absence of character development, unsightly sets, very cheap costumes... But rated a 10, it certainly does not have these issues!
9,5. ❤❤✪ Fantastic! This drama still has a huge impact on me. It kept me on the edge of my seat and it also touched my heart on an intimate level. It made me feel a roller coaster of emotions and I was totally invested in it. For the best of them: they've brought challenging questioning and gave my brain a healthy workout. And I'll probably never heal from the withdrawal syndrome.
9. ❤❤❤ Very well done! What a way to spend a quality time! It does have some serious flaws but I'm very fond of it. Chances are I've personaly enjoyed it that much because it filled most of my required key points (cf. "What I like the most in a drama" above on this page). I'm not the kind to rewatch dramas, but I surely have for this one!
8,5. ❤❤ Really great! I've bingewatched it (which is a very good sign) and had a really entertaining time. It's not "that great", but it did a very good job.
8. ♦❤ Good. Many qualities, but also far too many weaknesses. And I may have been bordeline bored, which is unbearable for me. But it redeemed itself thanks to some strong elements. I may not remember most of it after a while...
7. ♦☠ Barely watchable. I don't usually bother watching a drama if I think it'll be worth less than an 8 rating. So, if I rate 7,5 or 7, it first means that the drama is a let down and that I'm very disappointed. And second, it means that I'm on the verge of dropping it. For some of these dramas, I may have fast-forwarded or even skipped entire scenes/episodes. Also included in this rating, a category on itself: very good at first and promising but unforgivably messy dramas (most of the time due to disappointing scenario/poor editing).
5-6. ☠☠ I regret wasting my time on it. So, most of the time, I don't even bother to rate, I simply drop.
1-4. ☠☠☠ I don't give these ratings, I drop the drama.
