Just watch it for the feels
There will always be this drama were we either hate it or love it, or just watching it for the feels. This drama for me is the latter. I stayed for the feels. Let’s be honest, this drama really doesn’t have any complicated plot. Both characters are already strong from the very beginning so character development was not necessary, in my opinion. I think the second couple had the most character development more that the leads tbh. Also Miles Wei and Dylan in one frame, holy smokes! You guys don’t understand! 😂 FYI Miles does really good kissing scenes! Shish! But then again, a drama with little to no plot, did I hate it? No. Like I said i’m here for the feels and damn well, can’t deny Bailu and Hedi have that strong chemistry. They are both very known actors and they also carried this drama really well.
If you guys watched Hedi’s drama before, you can really tell the growth of his acting and how much his tone and facial expressions have changed and they are all for the better. If you still question if he is a good actor, watch LOVE BETWEEN FAIRY AND DEVIL, trust me, it’s really good and then watch Meteor Garden, then see the difference. 😂 Bailu on the other hand, i just love her. I’m maybe biased but i really like her acting.
There are quite a lot of couples in here, and i’m not gonna deny, some of the scenes bore me a little, but that did not stop me from watching. Guys, you can skip a few seconds and you still wont get lost in the story.
If you’re gonna asked, whatever episode is this and that,
Episode 19- they got together
Episode 27- break up but not really
Episode 31- they solved their issues
Third party? Absolutely no chance
Happy Ending? VERY MUCH there’s a special episode, mangotv on YouTube already have it.
Rewatched value? Some of my favorite scenes.
Kissing scenes? YOU’RE IN FOR A TREAT.

So Far The Best Mini Series Out There
Out of all the miniseries I've watched, this is hands down one of the best. It's not cringey or very stereotypical; it's very concise, straightforward, and the actors are excellent. Both are very good looking, and I see a lot of chemistry between them. There are some flaws in the acting, but compared to other minidramas, these actors can truly act. The second couple is also amazing; I didn't skip their scenes at all. I like how it's just 13 minutes per episode because it made it so easy to watch. It's definitely worth binging.I watched it on kisskh.co just in case someone wants to know where to watch.
Don’t be discouraged by the ratings; this one is really good.
Also, it has a happy ending and lots and lots of kisses too, if that will encourage you to watch this. 🤭
Acting: it's really good
Chemistry: i really like them
Storyline: typical but honestly not cringe
OST: I WANT TO FIND ALL OF THEM COZ IT'S REALLY GOOD TOO
Rewatch Value: i definitely would want to watch it again.

A Love So Beautiful, Put Your Head on My Shoulder and The Love Equations were all written by Zhao Qian Qian. But out of all these three spin-offs, The Love Equations is by far the best among these three. ALSB was almost the same as ISWAK but we saw growth and maturity for both leads which made it different from ISWAK. PYHOMS was cute, fluffy, no heavy scenes, just a real feel-good drama. However, Love Equations gave me a whirlwind of emotions. I really laughed, smiled, felt love, cried, and mad; it really captivated my heart and emotions. ACTING: Female lead is obvious that she is new in acting. She is really cute. Although there were few dead emotions on the way she acted, they were all bearable. I love her smile though, she was really loveable. The male lead is different, the way he delivered his lines and his facial expressions, it was really impressive. All the supporting cast were good too. It was really fascinating to watch the parents and teachers in this drama cause I've seen them from the other dramas.
STORY: Let's say it is a typical story. But what I love here is that our FL is independent, strong, she doesn't let the other girl get her; a very headstrong character. ML here is very cute. He was the first one to fall in love and to confess, and he was the one who leads our FL into their relationship. It was really cute! Also, what I like about this drama is how they tackle mental health. Not elaboratively but at least they touched something about it. It showed how family support can help someone that has mental issues. I also like how each character showed growth as the episodes passed. There were some boring scenes, almost skipped it, but it's alright. I really didn't find each episode dragging or boring. I enjoyed all of it. My only complaint is that when Jia Yi Chun doctored the genetic results, isn't that a medical malpractice? Shouldn't she suppose to be sanctioned for that? It really bothers me a lot, and she didn't even say sorry for what she did, which makes me mad. That is my only complaint.
MUSIC/OST: They were all cute. I really like the intro OST of this drama. It's also a plus that both leads sang a duet in this drama. Also, the female lead sang most of the OST since I guess she came from Produced 101(?)
KISSIN SCENES: This is why I consider this one fo the best among all the spin-offs. It's a big plus for me if the kissing scenes were really good and this one did not disappoint. I heard Simon Gong is a really good kisser in dramas but when I found out that Liu Ren Yu is just 18 years old, I already had a gut feeling there will be no kissing scenes. But, boy oh boy, I AM WRONG. They were really good together. Two thumbs up.
REWATCH VALUE: 100%. YES. I WILL BINGE THIS AGAIN.

Not Even Close to 50 Shades
Almost everyone is saying this is an intro to 50 shades. I beg to differ. 50 Shades is cringed and trying hard to be sexy, Love and Leashes have more of the story and more of just vanilla. The storyline is not unique, but the romance of the two leads was pretty good. At first, I don't see their chemistry but as the story progress, it starts to click.Other's say it's crazy how Korea is making this kind of movie now. It's laughable cause if others do their research, Korea has produced crazier sexy movies than this.
The storyline's not bad. It actually tackles how society ostracized people whose fondness is BDSM. If you think about it deeply, they criticize them, shunned them and the topic itself is taboo. At some point, the major takeaway here is love is love, and it doesn't matter how you express your love as long as you don't harm people.
This is also Seo Hyun's first sexy movie, I think it made a major discussion in the kpop world. She did great though. She's a good actor and gave justice to her character. Same with Jun, I haven't seen him act before, but judging from this, he is a very effective actor.
It's not a must-watch, but it's a good light-hearted movie and great for "literal" Netflix and chill.

It was just the hype
I'll be saying it direct to the point. This drama was an "eh" for me. Story line is pretty confusing and weak. It could have been good but it wasn't giving me that same energy like the other supernatural stories I've watched.Story line: it could have been better. The drama is cliche. That plotwist in the end was shocking and caught me by surprise, but like I said it could have been better.
Acting: It was okay. Some of their lines were just too cheesy and cringe.
Chemistry: To be honest, main leads were cute but I like the second leads better
OST: I like it. My favorite probably would be A Journey Together by Yang Chu Yun
Rewatch Value: Maybe not the whole drama, but some clips

It was a roller coaster ride of emotions. You won't be disappointed with each character. If you are a fan of the Korean drama School Series (school 20013, school 2017) then you might get the taste of that genre in this drama. It's not a love story really. It's about high school life, friendship, hardship, heartbreaks, crushes, family. The storyline is really good. It tackled so much about life and I really like it. Props to the grandma though, she was REALLY good portraying her character. The last 3 episodes almost had me in tears. The ending is very open-ended so you might wanna prepare your emotions for that, cause this drama needs a season 2.

What I only dont like in this drama, and like everyone is saying is that repetitive flashbacks. Its pretty annoying at times, and they are long flashbacks already occupying 40% of the whole episode. I also dont like how there are so many dead air in the drama. Long exposure on characters just standing, walking or just staring mid air. There are also scenes that obviously were cut off, like teasing you on whats gonna happen next but in actuality they are not gonna show you anything. If you will really calculate it, this whole drama doesnt need to be 40 episode. It can be lessen to 20 or 24 episodes.
As to the romance between the main characters. I find them cute together, even if there are not much kissing, but those cuddles, gestures, hugs, pecks, flirting with each other, they are really cute. I dont think kissing scenes is the only justification of a good romance in a drama but adding that will satisfy the viewers. They are sweet to each other, and i find myself smiling the whole time. Chemistry is 100% good.
Above all else, 8/10.

Overall the drama is nice, fluffy, cute, something that you usually expect for a romantic comedy.Story: It's a fictional story with so much promise in the beginning but left me a little disappointed in the end. I like how it started, though it was abrupt and little confusing, by episode 4 or 5 you will start to understand the process. I just wish they showed l Xiaoqi's planet and how they agreed to make her comeback to earth, her spaceship or how she got to earth. Her planet Cape Town will always be mystery to me. Same goes with Fang Leng, his amnesia is very unusual. I would love to have more explanation about it. There's so much depth into it but it was not address cause the story just focused on Xiaoqi and Fang Leng's rollercoaster relationship. Also, Fangleng's step mom, why wasn't she exposed of what she did to him. It's still bothers me that no justice was served. Sometime in the middle the drama became a drag. It was sort of pointless episodes but you just have to get through it.
Characters: There many likeable characters in the story and but also hated characters here. Male lead and female lead are good in their acting BUT, i really can't deny, i am pissed on the FL for being so fickle minded, a little immature and no growth. I really didnt see her character development at all. Maybe because she is an alien(?) But still. The fact that there are few wasted episodes because she can't make up her mind it, her character became a drag. The second male lead is good too. He is okay. Second female lead is some one I hate in this drama. She is a villain, that's her character and she served it well. I love the the other supporting cast. Especially Ms Chai from the restaurant. I am still laughing at the fact that she is watching When We Were Young lol.
Music: I will keep this short. The OST didn't linger on me. It doesn't have the "i like this, i will add this on spotify" factor.
Rewatch: In my own pov, maybe not
P.S. I am disappointed into their kissing scenes. Maybe because I am used to characters opening their mouth when they kissed. Here, they have a lot of kissing scenes, or maybe you can't call it kissing, more on like peck in the mouth kiss lol.

Kudos to the cast too, Deng Lun and Yang Zi's chemistry is impressive. I fell in love with their characters so much that when they cry, i cry too. I never really cry in a drama but this one is exceptional. It pierced my emotions so much that yes I will rewatch it again. Same with the other characters. You will hate the bad guys, and the good ones turned bad, you will pity them. All in all great casting! Everyone is commendable! There are many love stories in this drama that you will truly truly love.
If you think 60/63 episodes is too long, don't. It is needed for each character growth. There are so many unexpected twist and turns in this drama. Heaven doesn't mean it is good, and demon world doesn't mean it is bad.
My only spoiler is, not everyoned deserve a happy ending. 10/10

Realistically Good! A MUST
This is one of those dramas where, in the beginning, you are not sure if it's gonna be good or not, but then you stayed all throughout and had the feeling of satisfaction. This is 100% a really good drama. The poster didn't really catch my attention and I'm not familiar with any of the characters, so I just thought it's not gonna be good. But the comments and reviews have been saying it otherwise, so I gave this a go. I liked it. I stayed for 40 episodes and did not skip a beat.Sandra Ma and Bai Jing Ting were absolutely beautiful and gave life to the characters. Especially Sandra Ma, she didn't even have much make-up but she is still beautiful. Although I'm not a fan of her wardrobe choices, her character was portrayed as simple and down-to-earth.
It's a slow burn but they give you a very healthy relationship. But even if it's a slow burn, it doesn't really fall into your most common drama tropes.
OST was also good. I really like Accident (意外) by Leaf (叶炫清) and Chen Xueran (陈雪燃).

I did not watch nor read any trailers and synopsis of this drama. I saw Ryan Ding on the cast, I watch. I was watching Romance of Tiger and Rose but since I noticed that it hadn't ended yet, I decided to look for another Ryan Ding's drama and so I bumped into Intense Love. I prefer dramas that are really light. fluffy, and feel-good dramas. Intense Love fits all the categories. These kinds of dramas always have the same plots and the same happy ending. They will make you fall in love and make you realize that until now you are still single (lol). That is what they always make me feel. So, if you are looking for something light and easy to watch drama, try Intense Love. Acting: Both leads are very experienced in their fields so not questions into their acting. Their voices were dubbed, just a heads up but I promise you I only found out that their voices were dubbed when I am done watching the drama. So, I was really mind blown on that part. You might find some cringe moments especially on Zhang Yu Xi 's (FL) acting. I don't want to spoil it, but I literally have to wince when she acts cute. It's not annoying though. FL is an actress, so she tends to act cute in front of ML. Ryan Ding's character is slow to warm so he has this cold emotion at first, but it won't last long. There are some supporting casts that are fairly new into the acting game. They are fine, not much to worry about. The second leads are pretty good too. You might find the second male lead familiar. He was in Love Equations and I tell you what he has the same character; a conceited, vain, narcissistic person just a little subtle than his character on Love Equation. Other heads up, you might find ML's sister annoying. Well, she is, but I notice her character development and it goes with her hairstyle. Nothing much to complain about their acting though, that’s my personal opinion.
Story: As I said, this drama is pretty cliché. Both characters are rich and balling so there will be no money issues. The leads were set for an arranged marriage by their moms and both families agreed to these terms so there are no issues between the in-laws. It is just up to the leads on how their relationship will start. The story is amazingly fast-paced. I was exclaiming the whole time when I was watching it that everything went by way too fast. It’s not draggy and boring. The only thing I almost skip was the second lead’s love story. Bearable but also skippable so it’s really up to the viewer if you want to watch it or not. ML’s sister is a sasaeng. I must put it out there but there will be a character development on this one so just watch out for it. I like how everything went by smoothly between the leads, and side issues were resolved smoothly. I just thought that the last few episodes had scenes that were missing. Overall, it is not banal if you are a fan of fluffy dramas. Plus, it is just 24 episodes which are just perfect for this genre.
MUSIC/OST: Usually for this genre, the leads had to sing the OST but apparently on this one they did not. I like the songs, I have it on repeat especially the intro song. One of the singers was Monkey and I find her voice very soothing. I like it.
Kissing Scenes: They are both very experienced in their fields that is why kissing scenes are not disappointing on this one. Starting from Episode 10 (got to time stamp it if you are watching it on YT 33:43 to 35:20) through Episode 11 is probably my favorite episode.
Rewatch Value: 100% definitely. This is probably one of those dramas where if I don’t know what to watch, I will go back to this one. Another Love O2O kind of feeling.

In all honesty, this is a very straightforward drama. Everything was on a fast pace except halfway of episode 13 to 15. It kinda drag a little but all is well in the end. Jung So Min and Lee Min Ki delivered their characters very well. All of them actually. I didn't see much drama cliche, like I said majority is very fast paced. Story wise, its not very new, but the character delivery made it somehow different from the other dramas. I'm giving this a 9/10 because of the cat, joke! It's not a heavy drama, nor an idol drama. It's just really good!!
Watch it! Recommending this 100%!

If i have to compare the cinematography of this one vs Ashes of Love, i would prefer the latter. But considering AOL was release 2018 and TMOPB was 2017, it's understanble. Some of the scenes really made it obvious that they are using green screen. Every xianxia use heavy effects anyway but here it was just not that polish. But setting that aside, the story telling of each scenery is perfect.
I never really watched any Yang Mi or Mark Chao dramas so I can't really tell if she excel here or she is better in her other roles, but all I can say is, she is very good portraying Siyi/Susu/BaiQian here. She gave each character their own personality. She is effective to me although it didn't give much effect how Yang Zi did it for AOL. Mark Chao's poker and minimal facial expressions threw me off at first but i grew out of it later on the drama. That is just his character anyway. I read other reviews and they said YangMi is always paired to just and average guy but Mark Chao has his own charisma and his chemistry with YangMi here is good.
Aside from this two, Dilraba Dilmurat and Vengo Gao are one of the couples you need to look out for. Their love story is so tragic, you would want to have their own. Which gladly Pillow Book will be release soon and it's all about their story. I won't give mucb spoilers, but this couple is like a diamond in the mud. They will surprise you.
Music scoring of this drama is also rrally beautiful. I have it always on repeat on spotify cause i just cant get over it. Zhang Bichen did one of the ost and if you've watched Love O2O you will be familiar with her.
If i have to choose between AOL or TMOPB, they are both beautiful and have a really good story line. Both have different flavors. Each episodes TMOPB has a connection. Each of it you don't want to miss because there is a reason for everything. AOL also had a very happy ending and all is well in the end.
Dilraba and Vengo's love stort is so tragic you really need to look forward for Pillow Book. I just find this funny cause it looks like this drama is filled of Yang Mi or Jaywalk Studio actors.
Otherwise, this xianxia is worth it. 10/10
