a story about close friends, a great family bond, missing your childhood memories and home. this show shows that there are people around you who always wish for your best and want the best for you. you may feel left out, alone and invisible but there’s always going to be someone who is silently praying for your health and happiness. whether it be your family, or your childhood friends you keep no contact with anymore.

the reflection and healing in this show is something, the way you experience the characters’ healing process along with them, experiencing all different types of emotions. everyone is going through something different but the makers really did an amazing job by giving everyone more than enough spotlight so you can seriously see and understand them as a whole.

this is definitely comfort show worthy, it made me cry so many times because of the emotions i felt seeing the characters and their stories. the actors did an amazing job as well portraying their characters. well done!

a plot that gets you thinking

honestly, as someone who hasn’t watched the original show but was super excited for this remake to come out because it included one of my favourite actors, i really liked it. when i started it i knew from the beginning that im going to absolutely love this because im a big fan of nostalgic, set in the 80s/90s dramas because they make my heart warm.

as i kept watching it, around the middle part i got kind of confused?? i knew what was going on but it was more like the confusion surrounding the characters and i didn’t mind it that much because as long as i know where this is leading to im okay with it. so i get why people are saying its confusing, it is definitely a show that gets you thinking a lot because the plot is kinda complex as it is about “time travel” but it’s fine as long as you understand the big details.

the emotions run high in this show and honestly i just loved it overall. when i started watching it, i told myself im definitely giving it a 10 star rating because i just see it happening, but as i got further into the show things got a little bit confusing for me to understand and that’s the only reason i gave it a 8.5 instead of a 10.

but overall it is really beautiful and nostalgic drama that gets you yearning for more.

second-lead syndrome..

okay i just have to put it out there first, that i absolutely LOVED this drama. im not joking when i say this is a 10/10 drama, but you may ask why im giving it a 7/10?

listen, when i started this drama i was not expecting anything too good because i didn’t see much talking about this drama, so i thought it wasn’t being watched much and therefore wasn’t anything special. so i started it with no expectations at all, but oh boy was i wrong..

as i finished the first episode, i was immediately hooked because of the interesting storyline and the great casting. and you know park jihoon is just ITTT when it comes to duality so he was the PERFECT choice.

BUT, honestly my rating is just based on my own emotions because this drama gave me the worst second lead syndrome ever that i hadn’t felt in a LONG LONG TIME. i just could not take it anymore and so i had to stop watching at episode 15 ??

nothing personal at all, i loved the drama and i loved everything about it EXCEPT the ending but ofc that’s because of my own emotions and not rational at all.

a quick watch with a bearable storyline

so, i didn’t finish it obviously because i really couldn’t watch it anymore ?

tbh no hate to it at all, if you’re into short dramas that have a cute little expected story going on then this might be just for you. me on the other hand, im not exactly into basic storylines with basic characters so.. BUT that’s just my own opinion.

also, it kind of reminded me of meteor garden (a chinese drama) that i had ALSO dropped halfway through and the way it reminded me of meteor garden just pushed me even more to the decision of dropping it.

the typical weird funny girl x coldhearted boy trope is just KINDAA not for me, so that’s the only reason. other than that, it was pretty okay

caught me off guard because of HOW GOOD IT WAS?

wow. firstly i just wanna say im usually not a big fan of the comedy genre because most of them make me feel like im forcing myself to laugh? they don’t really get genuine laughs out of me so the com genre isn’t really something im a HUGE fan of. BUT THIS! this kdrama literally got the most genuine laughs out of me, it truly lived up to its name and was one of the best comedic dramas i’ve watched.

ALSO, can i just appreciate the osts mr queen gave us??? THE OSTS YOU GUYS. the osts literally fit so amazingly like a puzzle piece and gave me all the feelings it was meant to give truly.

THE PLOT. genuinely one of the most interesting storylines i’ve watched and had me hooked from the first episode already. the pace, the acting, the story, the EVERYTHING. big applause to all the people who worked on this drama because oh my god it is a masterpiece. this drama came out 3 years ago and i only watched it just now in 2023 because honestly i wasn’t expecting much from it (my fault tbfh) i knew about this drama but i never felt the PULL to watch it. but recently i was just browsing through my netflix and came upon it and decided to watch it. holy moly was i wrong. made me wonder HOW AND WHY i didn’t watch it earlier. I WAS MISSING OUT.

also no spoilers but i just wanna say of course the actors did a FABULOUS job throughout the WHOLE drama BUT the last episode really had me gripping ny seat tightly because i was in TRANCE. they really just took it up a notch and gave us everything we needed. and im talking about ALL THE ACTORS. the main leads were just whew. i don’t even have words for the main leads because of how GREAT they did especially in the last episode but OVERALL EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER had me on a rollercoaster in the very last episode and they really just poured it all out and slayed it.

guys. i can’t believe this drama is not talked about enough??? HOW IS THIS NOT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH???

let me begin with the casting. they really chose the most perfect main leads they could’ve casted because oh my god the casting was *chefs kiss*. the actors fit so well with the characters, i almost forgot that im watching a kdrama for a second. as always, siwan did a spectacular job soaking himself into the role SO WELL. the female lead was also so perfect in her character and she was so natural the whole time that i shed so many tears with her because i just felt so connected to her. also, im literally in love with siwan’s character because oh my god how did he just portray it SO WELL???? the quiet, kind, shy country boy LIKE IS THIS THE SAME MAN FROM UNLOCKED???? of course he always just slays his roles because of his phenomenal acting ??

the vibes of this show are literally the best, this is THE drama you’d wanna watch under your warm blanket with a warm cup of tea. THIS IS IT. the sweetest, innocent type of romance that i missed watching so much, they gave it to me. the supporting characters were also amazing and the found family trope is just *chefs kiss*
