A messy mess
Believe me, it was a mess. I just want to take out my mop and broom just to clean up this big mess of a mess! And because their plotline was so thin, they had to add a dash of cancer, a sprinkle of separation anxiety, and 3 cupfuls of villains just to reach 36 episodes. Not to mention the scriptwriters of this show ought to be burned on a stake! The ML took the Fl on a romantic boatride to watch a meteor shower and with an overdose of cringe told the Fl he wants to be part of her galaxy or something... seriously, who says that? .. and by the next episode, Fl was wondering if ML likes her or not... EEHH???Having said that, I"m still not finished. I did not like the male lead at all! Rude, overbearing, doesn't know how to apologize.. I could go on and on... and I will. I will be shallow and mean but it has to be said! ML is so short, I get distracted sometimes. His legs and arms are so short and stocky. The ex girlfriends strappy legs are so much longer than his..(lawrence wong fans can hit me now)
The FL on the other hand, I liked a lot. Her character was feisty, strong yet sweet. And she doesnt look anorexic like most cdrama actresses. All 5 points of my rating all goes to her..

Great cinematography!
I came here to review how this drama was made. The story was mediocre at best. The characters were welll fleshed out and relatable.. but I have to commend the way they shot this drama. Unlike most of cdramas I have seen, the actors here have little or no make up, there were no filters used, you can see all the imperfections ond pores in all their faces, including the glamorous zhao tang. So we see all the characters as real people, not glossed out at all. And there was always a dark element in all the angsty scenes. I can only describe it as gritty! Too bad the script was all over the place. But I still enjoyed watching it as a whole. I watched a trailer of the new drama the second male lead was starring in and I was taken aback on how handsome he actually was portrayed in that new drama. But I prefer him here. Reachable, relatable, realistic. Covered in construction dirt and sweaty armpits!I would still recommend this drama to everyone, if only to make you realize real life is not raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. It is more acne on faces and alcoholism!

Kisses here, kisses there, kisses everywhere
They kiss before they sleep. They kiss when they wake up. They kiss before they leave each other and kiss when they reunite. They kiss lightly, gently, reverently, passionately. All kinds of kisses. You name it , they did it all. There were major plotholes in the story. But who cares, I’m here to review the kisses! Oh and the male lead was a junior hyunbin!
Overall, a very enjoyable treat. There was angst but the kisses made up for it..
I hope this sets a precedent for all future cdramas. No more static goldfish kisses please. Thank you.

Under Rated Gem!
I know other reviewers have said this, but I am gonna say it again.. This is such an under rated drama. It was well written, well acted. Yes, it has its flaws especially the last 2 episodes(but so does 80% of cdramas)... But still it does not deserve a 7 rating. . I gobble up cdramas like there is no tomorrow. Sometimes I go through a drama without feeling any emotions at all, then forget about it the next day... But this show, I had a smile on my face half the time. I laughed, I cried. I was never bored. My favorite episodes were when they were in quarantine. It was hilarious! I had quite a case of second lead syndrome but whoever made the FL happy made me happy. So I highly suggest anybody to try this drama. You will not regret it...

Ruined Ending
It was a bittersweet melodrama which made me shed tons of tears. for the first 18 episodes that is. Then they had to add the last episode and turned it into a comedy of sorts! The kidnapping and chase scenes were soo soo bad, it was hilarious! It's like the writers and directors quit last minute and the interns that prepare coffee for the staff took over! Why, why why???!!! They ruined the whole show to be honest.Having said that, I would still recommend anyone who reads this to watch the show. The personal growth of the heroine from a helpless, naive girl to a strong and self assured woman without discarding her trust in humanity is endearing. Personally, I felt the male leads growth was not complete though, he was still emotionally constipated till the end. Chemistry between the leads was on fire during the first half but then it gradually fizzled out towards the end due to too many things happening at the same time..
And if you do watch it and anytime you feel like dropping it for whatever reason. I highly suggest you watch the kidnapping/chase scenes at the last episode. Purely for its entertainment value! And for the two extras that played the bumbling cops in those scenes, I give you my utmost respect and admiration!

An easy forgettable watch
First and foremost, shoutout to Qibao, the golden retriever! He outshone the Male Lead in all their scenes together... a much better actor by a mile...What makes this drama refreshing is the female lead's character. She was adorably blunt and true to herself ... no miscommunication from her end whatsoever! As emotionally constipated the male lead got, the more she expressed her feelings to him... She was empowering to say the least...
The male lead however leaves a lot to be desired. The actor was too stiff to start with...not a single micro expression in his bland face! And 90% of the time, he doesn't make any eye contact with the FL... he just stares straight ahead while talking to her... and because of this I never felt their chemistry ...
Quite surprisingly, I did not speed up the 2nd and third couples scenes... Their characters were all interesting enough for me to want to know where they are headed...
Overall, it was entertaining enough, no unecessary angst, an easy watch.. A good choice to watch while multitasking on a lazy weekend. But one of those dramas you forget about in a couple of days.
