The recap at the begining is helpfull and not too long to be annoying. It helps the remember what happened so far and has a fluent tansition into the main story of the movie.
Overall the movie storyline is really good- with twists and turns it gives the audience enough room to think and wonder what is going on and who is responsible for what. (I love doing that! I'm fond of movies where you have to follow closely in order to understand EVERYTHING and not just the gist).
However: At some point I got bored of the many 'special effects' (repetitions etc). In my opinion the makers overdid it at this point. And a second point of criticism (well, how you take it, it might be a good point as well): Everyone had his/her scene. Mostly falling down to the knees. I think there are 3 ore more people doing it. It kinda annoyed me.
The Acting: AWESOME. Especially from the leads - Matsuda Shota and Toda Erika!
Shota-kun plays the part of the smart and sly ex-con Akiyama perfectly. He is absolutely believable even though at some parts he overacted a bit. But it's kind of a charm to the movie.
Toda Erika manages to convey Kanzaki Nao's innocence in a supreme manner- it does not appear artificially or overacted.
Fukunaga...well he is just hilarious as always!
Music: The music seems misplaced in quite some occasions. Overall I like the music (the soundtrack is from the japanese electronic band 'Capsule') and fits most of the time the movie and the style how the movie is done, but at some saddening scenes I wished for some more appropriate music.
Rewatch Value: I watched that movie now twice and I'm pretty sure that I will watch that movie again. Liar Game Final Stage is a movie which definitely captures you and makes yo watch it all over again. Maybe not directly but after some time.
Overall: I love that movie! And I didn't give it a full 10 because of the music - there is still some room left for improvement.
