ITS SO GOOD WTF
(first time writing a review on here lol, sorry if it's messy)This drama is BY FAR one of the best ones that I've seen. Usually I don't expect much from these short dramas, but DAMN. From the start, I just KNEW this was gonna become one of my top dramas.
(idk where to start but uhh)
First off, Geu-ru was great and finally, we have an autistic character that isn't just some big maths/science nerd (I mean, unless you consider fish as marine biology but what I'm trying to say is that he's not like some of the other neurodivergent rep in kdramas *COUGH* Nam Dosan *COUGH*) and as an autistic person myself it was really nice to see some positive autistic rep. Only minor complaint I have is that Asperger's isn't a term used anymore (plus Hans Asperger was a right ol dickhead) so I wish they just said that Geu-ru was autistic instead. But then again, Asperger's only stopped being a medical term in 2013, and Geu-ru got diagnosed before then (also, I don't really expect Jeong-u to know about this since he's not a doctor or anything). Tang Jun-sang really did a good job at portraying Geu-ru tbh (I still associate him with Geum Eun-dong from CLOY, but that's just my CLOY-loving arse innit. Geu-ru was still great tho).
Then there's Sang-gu who I think had the best character development in this drama. Honestly, the first time I saw him I was incredibly pissed at that ugly ableist piece of shite ("wHy sHoUlD i CaRe fOr JeOnG-u's HaNdIcApPeD sOn?" GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP) but I'm glad that he redeemed himself and became a nice guardian to Geu-ru. Aside from that, after hearing about his past trauma and what happened with Su-cheol, I've grown to feel sorry for him and tbh, I ended up hating that ugly ass Madam instead. I'm still pissed at her for basically forcing Sang-gu to fight Su-cheol, he clearly didn't want to do it and how Su-cheol inevitably died because of him?? Fuck Madam, all my homies hate Madam.
Ok right, enough waffling about the characters. Now about the actual plot of the drama itself. Tbh the entire storyline was sad yet beautiful, but there is just ONE part that I am particularly salty about (which I will now complain about here). I have put a spoiler warning, but in case you didn't pay attention to that, here's your reminder to go watch Move to Heaven before continuing this (I mean there's already enough spoilers up until this point but just watch it pls).
IAN AND SOOHYUN DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER!! Their love story is the only reason why I'm giving the plot 9/10 instead of 10/10. And I'm still mad at the fact that Soohyun died (yes I get that the whole point of this show is to clean out dead people's rooms and that if he didn't die then he wouldn't be in drama, but still. I JUST LOVE HIM OK). All I want is for him and Ian to be able to live happily together (tbh I still want a plot twist where Soohyun isn't actually dead and gets to live happily ever after with Ian. Season 2 pls?). Seriously, what is it with me and falling for second lead couples with tragic endings? Soohyun's parents were right ol cunts as well. I mean, think about it. If they never forced him to get married in Korea, Soohyun would probably be living happily with Ian in San Francisco right now. But seriously, being homophobic is one thing, but burning love letters from your dead son? Honestly I'm so glad that Geu-ru has an amazing memory, or otherwise that letter would've been lost forever and Ian would've never seen it (or known what Soohyun wanted to say to him). (if any fic writers are reading this rn, PLS GIVE IAN AND SOOHYUN THE HAPPY ENDING THEY DESERVE!! Since I know they'll never get their own drama).
Thank you to anyone who has read this piece of pure waffle (honestly I'm gonna be surprised if anyone has made it to this point) but anyways, in conclusion Move to Heaven is going on the Elite 2021 Dramas List and they better be making a Season 2 soon (yea I get that S2 is unlikely, but I would at least like to know what happens to Cha Eunbyeol)

idk what to put here but read this pls
I'll start off with the fact that this drama has now become one of my favorite dramas of all time. My reasoning for watching this is incredibly stupid (HEHE STEPHANIE LEE GO BRRRRR) but, y'know, almost every drama that I absolutely love I literally only watched for a stupid reason. Aside from that, this drama is incredibly good and I totally recommend that y'all watch it.There are a few things that pissed me off though. First off, as the drama progressed I realised that the only two investigators with some sort of common sense and a fucking brain are Chae Yul and Sung Yeon. And before y'all get mad at me, I don't exactly hate the rest. They just need some goddamn character development and education on social issues (I'll explain this further below).
There were two particular cases that clearly showed how dumb everyone apart from Chae Yul and Sung Yeon are - the first of these being Sae Yoo's abortion case. Yes, Sae Yoo getting an abortion in that case is wrong but Mido's dumbass fails to recognize what the actual problem is - which *really* pissed me off. Mido claims that the problem is that abortion is illegal and Sae Yoo is a minor (therefore claiming that the issue is the fact that Sae Yoo got an abortion). However, the real issue here is that Sae Yoo was forced to get an abortion by Chang Yeon's mother, even though both her and Chang Yeon made the active decision to become parents. In this case, Sae Yoo is being refused control over her body and her pregnancy (i.e. being forced to get an abortion, which goes against her choice. The issue is NOT the abortion itself, nor should abortion be classed as immoral (as Mido alludes to). But aside from Mido's dumbassery in this case, Chae Yul was incredibly right in the way that they shouldn't have tried to dig into Sae Yoo's personal life and pregnancy in the first place - and only focused on retriving the rabbit (Sung Yeon was also the only one that agreed with her, showing how unlike Some Other Girls, she actually has a fucking brain!). Essentially, it was the girls' attempt to find out more that led to Sae Yoo ending up in hospital and harming herself, because clearly the abortion and pregnancy brings back traumatic memories and endless guilt because she genuinely wanted to become a mother, but had that forcibly taken away from her.
The second case that truly exposed some of the girls' true colors was Soo Yeon and Eun Bin's case. And oh God, this was PAINFUL to watch - especially Ha Jae and her homophobic remarks (god, Ha Jae really pissed me off and this just made me hate her). Mido was also quite dumb as well - yes, she does support Soo Yeon and is willing to help her in the case, but what the fuck was 'I don't fully support homosexuality'? How can you call yourself a decent person, yet not FULLY support the gay community? And what the fuck does she mean by that? How do you only partially support gay people? Jesus Christ Miss Mido Mido Mii~! (that sentence was physically paining to write btw). But hey, at least Mido partially supports gays innit. Then there is Ha Jae, and I'm going to now rant about her homophobic arse. First off - what the fuck is 'I don't feel comfortable around homosexuals'?? That's about 10x worse than what Mido said (plus its classic homophobe rhetoric as well so fuck you Ha Jae <3). Also the 'How can a girl date a girl' (someone spewed some bullshit like that at one point and I'm pretty damn sure its Ha Jae) LIKE HELLO MOTHERFUCKERS?? How CAN a girl date a girl?? GIRLS ARE PRETTY YOU DIPSHITS (apart from Ha Jae, that ugly motherfucker can suck my toenails x). But homophobes aside, this case did show exactly how much of an icon our QUEEN Sung Yeon is. Literally everything she said was right, I was just sat there like GO OFF SIS!! But yeah - that entire case just showed how the only two decent girls were Chae Yul and Sung Yeon (also kinda offtopic but they would make the POWER COUPLE!! Plus them being together would piss off Ha Jae and Mido and THAT MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY).
Aside from what I've just waffled on about, the drama is actually great and y'all should watch it :)))

Should've stayed in the drafts luv
I watched this drama as it was airing but honestly,, wtf is this. You see, I am still not over CLOY and WFKBJ so naturally once I found out that Kim Ju-meok and Jung Joon-hyung were gonna be in this drama, I was absolutely gassed and could not wait for it to start airing.Like its name, the only good part about Start Up is well, the start. I had my hopes up because my dumbass thought that Jipyeong was the main lead (well we were introduced to him first and most of the first ep was literally about him so). Plus him and Dalmi would literally be a power couple. Plus, Dalmi had rejected basically all her exes in the past because of the letters, so my dumbass really thought that she would reject Dosan because of the letters (and date Jipyeong).
Samsan Tech are just cute dorks, apart from Dosan the toxic cunt that reminds me way too much of my physics teacher. I'm not even bloody joking, after watching DoDal's 'cute' moments for 16 episodes straight, I could not help but wonder if this was what my physics teacher would be like on a date (to be honest, my teacher is probably a LOT better than Dosan in the way that he did not steal Dalmi from Jipyeong). Chulsan and Yongsan basically carried the show with their banter (plus idk if this is just my CLOY arse but Chulsan seriously reminds me of Ju-meok in almost every way possible). And naturally, being the Marxist that I am, Saha gave me extreme Tory vibes when we first her so I hated her with all my being. Next thing you know, Saha's character development is *chef's kiss* and it was her and Chulsan singlehandedly carrying the entire damn show on their back. Because unlike Some Couples they aren't toxic and actually have chemistry! The only downside to being a hoe for ChulSaha is that I literally cannot promote them anywhere, because they just so happen to be in the shitshow that is Start Up. Like, if I ever get a hit tweet (P.S. follow me on twt @chulsaaaaanzu) I can't then be like 'this blew up, now go watch Crash Landing on You and Partners for Justice and ship Ju-meok and Stella together but call them Chulsan and Saha and Ju-meok is South Korean and instead of Choi Jiwoo he likes coding and Stella doesn't speak English as often also they make out on a photocopier' like who tf is reading that waffle (I mean honestly who tf is reading THIS waffle, surprised if any of you fuckers are even at this point lmao). In conclusion ChulSaha deserve their own drama.
Another thing is, at one point the only reason why I stuck around and waited every week for another hour and 20 minutes of Dosan's Bullshit was for the 0.2 seconds of ChulSaha content (yes I am talking about them again, and yes ChulSaha is my only personality trait deal with it bitches). Was debating dropping it but next thing you know Chulsan is reading out digits of pi to Saha (peak romance that) and then he's getting English lessons from her and THEN they're making out on a photocopier and it's like Jesus Bloody Christ you know what? I will put up with Dosan's Bullshit for you sweetie <3
'bUt iT's nOt aBoUt rOmAnCe iT's AbOuT bUsInEsS' first of all my Marxist arse has no interest in billionaires, nor am I interested in becoming one (fuck capitalism amirite), second of all I only watched this because of Kim Ju-meok. I do not give a flying fuck about start up scale up hackathon whatever.
In conclusion do NOT watch Start Up. My depression got worse, I cry over Jipyeong every night and I am too emotionally attached to (you guessed it) ChulSaha. :)
