Funny and a bit nostalgic
Well this kne was a nice surprise.Bai was indeed, insufferable…. Super picky, arrogant, feeling like he walked on water… kudos for actor Bai Ke… he portraits the typical white collar director.. workaholic, an d expecting the world to follow his lead .
Li Lu Duo… sweet assistant, gets all the heat from him. Most if the time it makes no sense and of course, she hates him.
The curse of being ina time loops triggered by LiLu cursing him and wish him to die was meant to happen.
It took a lot of episodes for Bai zhen and LiLu to start partnership and work together towards the same goal… beat the curse. It had to be Li Lu who teach Bai how to be a decent human being…
Got to say… I never thought I would like Bai… he was too rigid and narcissistic… but eventually I did.
One you realise that behind all that ego, is an introvert, vulnerable man, that struggles to fit… he wins you.
It was inevitable that LiLu and Bai fell for each other…
And life brought a few hard lessons for Bai in the middle… which were hard to see.
It got a bit slow in the middle and the last episodes were quite sad and dramatic…
The end was nice, but would have liked more air-couple time with both leads.
There were no real villains… I think ego was the villain here.
Do I recommend it? Yes
Would I watch it again? Yes

Excellent Office drama with good pace and twists... only one miss... No passion!
It was refreshing to see a CFO of the correct age in this story.... Real CFO's are never 20 something... and Real business is conducted like this.. with ups and downs, investigations and constant work/ adapt and move to the next idea. This is what I liked about this story.... it was real... even the gossip between employees was real.. it happens like this.
Gao Wei Guang (Wang Ju An (CFO)) is very good. As CFO, he is hard, calculating but fair. As a man being in love for first time, he is simply... adorable. Having said this... it is hard not to compare him with his role as emperor in Eternal Love. I missed his long white hair look... probably this will haunt him for the rest of his career.
While he is impeccable actor... I failed to see love emotions in him.
At a certain point, when problems arises, he is away from his loved one... Sorry but if you are in love of someone, and that person leaves you, I want to see you devastated, crying, angry, etc.... Yes he had a bit of that.. but I was not convinced.
Zhang Yu Qi (Su Mo) is OK. I liked how she portraits a working, intelligent woman, with real emotions and passion for her work. But 0 passion for Ju'An. I mean.. even if you are in your late 20's.. or 30's., or 40's.. love is real, exciting, groundbreaking. She was very leveled.... no passion there.
I mean... Love story really starts after episode 20.. there you see an emotional development very real. I liked that.. It was not like "we get together.. THE END"... the writers let us get into their day to day world. It was nice and refreshing.
HOWEVER, I mean.... 38 episodes and I only saw 1 kiss. Seriously?
The supplement stories around them were also interesting and added to the whole story. I loved all of them. And some of them were more courageous under their circumstances. This is a nice plus.
So, overall...I think this is a benchmark on how office love dramas should look like. Real, with a hint of goofiness' and yes, misunderstandings and issues came up but were sorted out relatively quickly and successfully.
BUT, you can not have 2 "mature" individuals falling in love with a deep connection in a platonic way, without any chemistry.
That is the big miss here.... No butterflies in the stomach between main leads.

The boss is amazing, but she?.. not so much
So… the story was ok. Entertaining, cute… but very long.Yes, this could have been easy 24 episodes, why 36? No idea…
ML is great…. As angry boss is scary, as lovey dovey is adorable, this is a good niche for him, as cold, arrogant aloof guy. Very expressive and he did convince me in every scene all the emotions and confusion he had.
He was simply a man with 0 emotional intelligence, used to have everybody at his command… inc FL.
FL on the other hand… started super childish.. from the way she behaved, her clothes, her speech.. everything. Her only positive trait, being relatively smart. But for more than 20+ episodes, she gets pushed by ML in all sort of ways, many unacceptable.
Finally she grows a backbone and kind of stands for herself… still sorry, her acting did not convince me.
Whoever says she is empowered, is lying.
When she was supposed to have a crush kn him… come on, not a single love look or anything.
He is a man… in his 30s.. she looks out of high school, barely 20s. Whats up with always wearing socks like in school? She is a lawyer!
So, chemistry was very low. From his side I do believe it, but she was like a wooden stick. Even in moments separated, was she supposed to miss him? I don’t know.
Also… forget about passion between these 2… nothing happened, even living together, which js not realistic in this era.. and for such a guy, sorry but this was a miss.
Friends and 2nd couple are good supporting the story. Add a lot of fun and make it a comedy.
His parents are hilarious also.
Overall, I rated it a 7.5 because it was entertaining, but so slow and no chemistry, it’s a shame but ML is really good.
Would I watch it again? Nope… although I am a fan of ML.

Excellent story, acting, production…
This one is always listed in the top 10 historical c-dramas… so kf course I had to check it out.A bit long with 58 episodes of 45 mins… but it is worth it.
ML- God Moh Yuan / Ye hua is amazing. He manages to give you a complete different feeling when playing each of the roles…. And his devastation when FL is gone breaks your heart.
FL- Bai Qian… she is a mix of everything… from shy, quiet, stubborn, martyr… to fierce Goddess… she plays it very good.
I loved her as a Goddess… taking command and no BS from anyone… (although you have to wait a lot of episodes but .. it happens).
One thing..l a lot of time spent on secondary storylines… probably to give sedway for kther seasons… but they are endearing so, it was Ok.
The story makes you really hate Heaven… and cheer for the underdogs.
Overall… a bit long but very nice story, acting and production… and with good ending.

Original, captivating, interesting… loved it!
This is the first taiwanese serie I watched… and I am satisfied and glad I did…Story itself is different… FL Xian is an editor of romance novels that ends up trapped in her own novel, with an overbearing CEO, Situ Aoran/He Tianxiang
I expected the plot to be the develop romance between these 2, but no…. It was a bit of a parody on all the plots and cliches that the production uses to insert romance that the female audience expects…. With a lot of humor and funny moments.
Its all about the estereotypes… like when the main female lead that is always falling so the male lead can catch her in his arms, or when the main femaile lead needs help, the male lead is always 2 seconds away to help, no matter when or where… those moments that are totally unbelievable but we got so used to… we expect them in all romantic genres novels.
Actors did a great job… in all their own stereotypes… they were cute and lovable.
I have to say that the SML was amazing,,,, until the end.. I would have loved for him to get the girl.
If there is a 2nd season about his story… I would be the first to watch… I am officially a fan now!
The chemistry between the ML, FL and the SML was great….
Music was nice also.
One min point was the costumes…. The styling was awful… clothes were super baggy or over the top.. (like the CEO went to work in a tuxedo…. Come on!)
For the rest:
Do I recommend it? YES,! Especially if yiu need a serie to lift you up after a historical drama with horrible open ending (like I had with moon lovers)
Would I watch it again? YES!

Even with the tough reviews online… it is worth watching
I did not check the reviews before starting… trying to avoid being biased and all that.. just read them afterwards… and a lot of what has been said is true.Let me clarify that I have not watch the original Chinese version… only this one.
It is true… I was very frustrated with this “love story” between Hae Soo and Wang So…. It did not happen until mid season. It came to a point that I actually thought I read it wrong..l that she would end up with The brother Wook… but no… finally after more than 10 hrs, it happened.
The best in this drama comes from Wang So… he is amazing.
I was rooting for him since ep1….
But Hae Soo… well… it took me very long to like her. She is supposed to be modern-contemporary woman… and in the beginning she was… but also very naive and clueless to the actions of others. Very self centered.
She meets 7 princes.. and after 3 episodes, almost all of them started to like her. Like she would just smile to them and they would be immediately smitten. For princes that had any woman in the kingdom at their disposal… it was hard to believe.
The actors playing the brothers were also very good. You will immediately like/hate them .
Having said that… this story has the most iconic scene I had scene ever…
Wang So covering Hae Soo from the rain, while she is on her knees in front of the palace.. beginning for the life of her friend.
No words were needed…. His action spoke of his courage and his love for her.
This scene made it worth watching…
I admit, I cried at the end… Wang So’s karma came back to bite him in the ass…
And yes.. the ending could have been different.. it is obvious they made it in mind of a season 2 that will never happen… leaving us with unanswered questions.
Do I recommend it? Yes…. Wang Wook and Wang So make it worth it.
Will I watch it again? No

You don’t have to be young to have love
Started watching with No expectations and ended up gladly surprised.Basically…. Hard working FL with a healthy, busy family life…. Meets super star teacher ML…. And go from haters to friends, to admiration to love…. Which is how it normally happens in a mature relationship between adults.
Yes… she looks older than what the story portraits… Yes, her clothes style are not of this century…. who cares? She brings life to a lovable character that got me cheering for her success pretty soon.
Now he… well he does a great job going from arrogant-narcissistic-I am better than bread man to super caring-loving-even passionate man….. totally in love and respect for her…
They have issues… get angry… but they talk about it… like normal people should do.
Now… it is also true that the murder plot takes time away from these 2 in romance … and it was solved in a very simple, quickly way…. That could have gone better.
What gets me thinking is the obsession of parents and the education of their children… the pressure to perform is unbelievable at such young age…these kids wake up, go to school, then academy and then online lessons… seriously?… no time to live,.,, no time to be young… no wonder they get depressed and have serious mental issues. And worse… the power of the mothers to drive the school agenda… is ridiculous… but so true… a reflection on the reality of education… not only in Korea, but other countries… sad but true.
Also… social media pressure is the curse of this generation… how superficial opinions can break a hard working person’s reputation without any repercussions will continue to haunt us down in this life time… another sad but true.
The Uncle is hilarious…. Kudos for such a warm loving performance!
I found the story original, funny and got me reflecting on a lot of stuff….
Would I watch again? Yes
Do I recommend it? Yes

Finally two grown ups interacting like adults and loving like adults
One oerson mentiined that this story is too “preachy” … thats is true…ML works as main person in a funeral home… so he is confronted with desth everyday… and of course, this influences the narrative of the show… sometimes a bit melancholic but overall quite sweet…
So… finally a story where the FL speaks normally, acts like a woman, and lives like a modern, working individual, with goals and dreams… she jokes, talks, like a normal woman,,, no dead fish kiss or fake ones… much appreciated for that…
Story is kind of slow pace, but nice…
FL and ML have history together from the past.. and they reconnect… leading to flirting, friendship and falling in love… in a very realistic manner.
The interactions with their family and friends are very normal… you learn quickly to like them…
She is flawed… he is temperamental…. Discussions, break ups, reconciliations are part of their relationship, which is very real.
Some people found her too selfish and he too accommodating…. There is a bit of truth, but slowly you see her change… not perfect but it is there.
Chemistry is pretty good… in the little details…
Overall, I recommend it… 21 ep x 30 mins goes super fast

Funny, emotional, quirky… all in one
After watching the flop of Only for Love, I wanted to see something different… not historical… and came across this one…And what a difference! I was interested since the beginning..
This is a story about ACCEPTANCE… to others and to yourself…
I found it eye opener and powerful.
Eun Hwan Ki…. Has so many layers… basically more yhan meet the eye…. Kudos to Yeon Woo Jin… he did a very god job portraying the anxiety and frustration of not being able to express yourself, not being heard… I stayed glued to the screen really hoping for his happiness…
It broke my heart how he was treated by his father.. always compared to others, belittled… of course it was bound to happen to become closed off and alone…
How smartly he matched every team member to the right assignment to take them out of their comfort zone but in a good way… that is true leadership in the workplace… kudos to the writers for that!
He has so much to give… jeez… got me crying every episode…
Now, Chae Ro Woon.. is exactly what I expected.. too loud, too pushy, too much… I liked that the writers shifted her towards a more understanding, even emotional intelligent side… still sparky but with more essence and not only noise…
How the drama with the sister broke her life… that is so true…. The ones that are left behind are the ones that pay the price… even years after.
I liked her direct approach…. It was the ying to Hwan Ki’s yang….
(I find her different than other actresses…. I like her)
Quite a lot of funny moments… balancing the seriousness of the drama quite nicely..
Would I watch it again? Yes
More importantly and unexpected…. Got me thinking differently about whats going on inside the mind of an introvert…

Not interesting enough
I love biz dramas…but this one is just strange, boring… maybe too slow burn for me.FL is good, capable.. doing the job of other 3 inept colleagues… and being paid as an assistant.
On top, the boyfriend Of 4 years is not getting serious and still has the ex girlfriend living in his apartment.
At work, the boss keeps yelling at her for everything…
There was a moment where she said.. f*** this.. changed her clothes and attitude… I thought FINALLY!
But no… it lasted half an episode.
I am getting more angry at her than understanding and enjoying the series.
The ML is not really interesting to me… maybe he changes but until now the interactions are strange… I can nit make sense of any if it.
So, I am dropping it… maybe this style is just not for me,

Modern Love story… funny and real.. from start to finish… loved it!
Love can nit get any less real than this one…From life before your lover, meeting him, falling in love, to the mundane, daily little nuances that make life… life.. to the bitter sweet lessons of a heart break…
That is what this drama is about.
Both Yumi and Goo cells are so real… they show exactly how we humans deal with our humanity inside… from friendship, embarrassment, doubt, courage… all of them are portrait in a funny but very well thought manner.
The end made sense but still… it breaks your heart.
Tomorrow I will start season 2.
And this is now my top 1 drama. Well done!
