um. okay?

honestly im not sure if im happy that i watched roommates of poongduck 304 before this or not...

PRODUCTION:
when i say that the fact that these dramas can be so short is their downfall? this is exactly what i mean. everything is so thrown together and makes little to no sense - the transistions are nonexistent. the camera angles were sometimes werid. flashbacks that made no sense. 10 minutes for a single episode is just not enough for a story like this. music was not memorable.

STORY:
i do honestly get what they were going for but i cant say im happy with the end result. for such a short runtime they really try to jam as much information that makes 0 sense into your brain as possible. the timeline is a mess i have no idea if this is supposed to be a couple days? weeks?? months??? idk. the dialogue is also definitely awkward too (or at least the translations made it seem that way). also the ending sucked.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:
jun ho (kim jiwoong) is fine? jiwoong is really trying his best with what he's got but the dialogue does not help at all. but honestly at the end he really is a fuckin idiot and i really dont like it when characters make stupid choices for the sake of being stupid.

min hyun (yoon seobin) has a similiar issue - but he does play such an innocent character really well. i feel like if the writing was better this could've been pulled off a lot better. seobin is trying his best though as well and really pulls through on emotion.

im so glad we have roommates of poongduck 304 because it proves that the chemistry between jun ho and min hyuk was that good that they deserved a second chance. the parts where they actually got to TALK and INTERACT?? were the best parts of the series. im telling you if you liked the chemistry between seobin and jiwoong you need to check out roommates of poongduck 304. its so much better.

the side characters - there was way too many. again - if you only have 80 minutes to tell your story. you need to cut it down. i got so confused on who the villian was and what the hell was happening. i really just didnt care and wished the focus was on the actual couple.

OVERALL:
i am new to bl and im sad to say this is the worst bl ive ever seen. the production is so awful and the story while it had potential was carried out in the worst way possible. kim jiwoong and yoon seobin carried this series but they could only do so much. if i ever watch this again it will be too soon.

not as good as it could've been

PRODUCTION:
everything looked very nice - there are are a lot of school bls right now but i liked the aesthetic and overall look of this one. the music i didnt really take not of but at least it wasnt annoying. sound quality can be pretty bad based on where they are filming.

WRITING / STORY:
i never thought i would say that a thai bl would be too short but here we are. maybe they couldve done it in 12 episodes but the intrigue built up all really stops flat. i was hoping for this series to be more suspensful than it was. there are a lot of story beats that shouldve take more care and execution. i really wish the story would just slow down because it just brushes by so fast with no real time for development. i find myself more liking the concept and ideas the story present rather than how it actually played out. plus there's plots and characters who are focused on that just slow it down even more esp near the end.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:

akk has a story arc that i really like but i do feel like its rushed. some of the developments just sort of come out of nowhere. i feel like first (akk's actor) really does his best but because he does really well. i didnt really think i would like akk as a character but i found myself truly relating to his experiences. but some stuff just really doesnt get explained enough. i think we needed more context for his actions.

ayan wowed me in his first appearance but his character kinda took a turn for the worst. i really just didnt understand his motivations. he is a really smart character but sometimes just doesnt reveal anything he does know. i thought - unlike some reviews i saw - that his motivations were good. but the fact that the story spun the actual conclusion makes it seem like he did a lot of this for nothing.

i liked their chemistry together but the buildup isnt really there. like i truly dont know when it is that they actually started to like each other. its like one scene they hate each other but then the next they are already getting comfortable. i also just needed akk to be more hesitant but it more seems like his character flip flops on if he likes aye or not. like again their acting is great and they clearly have a connection but it happens way too fast and doesnt have enough development. i cant wait to watch them in their next serieses (Only Friends and Moonlight Chicken) and hopefully they will get better stories there.

thua... god. idk. his motivations are just so weak. his actions are just confusing. i was okay with him and thought his romance with kan was good until stuff gets revealed. which. just changes his whole character out of nowhere. i feel like the writers just were trying to blindside us without giving any real development so none of us would actually guess it. in the end i cant even feel happy for his character.

the other side characters are ok at best. but man. they needed to pick a bad guy and stick with it. too many people ended up getting their motivations explained and facing 0 consequences. it really just left it so everything that was suspensful just wasnt anymore.

OVERALL:
i know it seems like im dragging this show a lot i do wanna say i had a funtime with it. its something i could see myself casually rewatching but if i think too much about it the more frustrated i am with the story.

almost dropped this series but luckily i didnt!!

just to preface - i was like halfway through between us before i realized that this series was supposed to (not really) be watched first. but i dont think it really effected my view on the show itself.

PRODUCTION
was okay. there wasn't a lot that sticked out to me but the overuse of the same music got SUPER annoying after awhile. 17ish hours of the same handful of background music playing on loop was super annoying. also the pacing was abnoxiously slow sometimes and scenes dragged on for way too long.

STORY / WRITING
i am a HUGE sucker for reincarnation stories so this whole idea was my jam. but i really wish that it wasnt dragged out for so long. it was confusing sometimes i didnt really understand how much they knew of their past lives at some points. i luckily didnt ever feel like the characters were dumb but the slow pace of the show sometimes made it hard to sit through. which is why i can't really see myself ever rewatching this series in the near future. i felt like for awhile just nothing was happening - it wasnt until episode 9 that i really felt engaged in what was happening.

CHARACTERS / ACTING
fluke (pharm) does super well with emotional scenes especially at the end i was really stunned with his acting. however near the beginning when he was moreso acting shy it more felt like he was cringing to me. sometimes i wondered if pharm was actually comfortable around dean. i did sorta think he wasnt my favorite but i appericate him a lot more now. i do wish we got more development at the end with his fears but oh well.

ohm (dean) i have a soft spot for kinda reserved characters. i did think he pulled off emotional scenes until the end - maybe bc he just was right next to fluke who was giving his all haha. i also didnt really feel like we develed deep enough into his feelings. they did a little but and i really liked it when they did but they couldve given us that a little bit more.

together they were sweet but like i kinda said i sometimes wondered if they were truly comfortable around each other. i did feel like their physical actions with each other felt a little too scripted sometimes but it didnt distract me completely. in the end i was happy for them.

earth (intouch) really was such a perfect comparison of fluke. i really am glad they didnt make intouch and pharm extremely similiar. i did have a problem with intouch being kinda annoying but it didnt last very long and im pretty sure he's my favorite from the series. just very cute and lovable.

kao (korn) was a lot like dean. which given that pharm and intouch were different didnt make a lot of sense. i also didnt really understand korn's motivations that well in the end (beginning). i dont really think it ever got properly explained why he did what he did. i also feel like the changing for his feelings for intouch kinda came out of nowhere.

but their scenes together worked really well i felt like intouch's character was so much stronger when he played off of korn. their beach scene really sold me. i liked their happiness and it really made me appreciate them and feel for them when all the sad stuff happens.

i liked the side characters - i do feel like the continuity when it comes to win/team is pretty rough when it comes to between us. but this was made first so i dont blame this series for that. they are just much more light-hearted here than they are their own story. manaow is best girl i absolutely love her. and seeing ja playing sin made me brust that WIG bdgahwhshwh. i love u ja but omg i couldnt help it.

OVERALL
im glad i stuck through the series i loved the concept for the story and while i have my issues with it i think they pulled it off a lot better than most people would. i probably wont rewatch this anytime soon but im excited that ill finally get back to watching between us haha!

dont believe the negative reviews

cherry magic the series is one my favorite bls of all time so i was nervous looking at reviews for this movie and seeing mixed reception. but trust me if you liked the original series you will like this movie.

PRODUCTION:
i feel like the quality was overall nicer looking than the original series - maybe due to a bigger budget. i dont really recall the music but the absence of the opening from the orignal series is dearly missed. though the callback to it was brillant. dont have much to say other than that.

STORY:
now i do think the story has some continuity issues - esp if you have watched the specials you'll question if the specials are even canon anymore due to the timeline of the film. there is another thing also but i do want this to remain spoiler-free. i also do feel like the movie jumped around a lot - it honestly could've aired spilt up into a couple of special episodes or a 2nd season. but the writing does very much still line up with the quality of the series tho i dont find the movie to be as funny as i do the series.

CHARACTERS / CASTING:
adachi (akaso eiji) is one of my favorite bl protagonist. and he still shines through here but you can tell he has grown from the series and even in this film you see him grow as a character to be someone different compared to his beginning.

kurosawa (machida keita) the loml. the BEST bl love interest. can never do wrong. i dont really think we get to see as much of his dorkiness and lovable personality as much as we do in the original series which is a shame. but i still love every moment kurosawa just looks at adachi in this movie.

akaso and machida's acting together is what really sells cherry magic in general. you compare the amount of intimacy to other bl airing these days and even at the time it originally aired. i see bls where couples do much more than adachi and kurosawa do on-screen. but i will still take adachi and kurosawa anyday just them sitting next to each other and talking or even just looking at each other carries so much weight. seeing their relationship struggle but eventually grow in this film is such a delight. every second that adachi and kurosawa are on screen they sell this movie. i dont think anyone else ever could. i will truly miss not being able to have anymore of them in the future i love them.

i do wanna say if you are looking for more tsuge and minato you dont get much - which honestly for me was a good thing because they were the only thing i didnt like in the series so having less of them made this even better.

CONCLUSION:
altough i think if i had to choose i do prefer the original series. i think was its own season rather than a movie thus couldve taken more time with its story it wouldve maybe matched up completely to the series. but i still really loved this film as a continuation and ending (cries) to cherry magic. there are scenes and dialogue that will speak to you and just seeing adachi and kurosawa together should be reason enough. you have been holding back on watching this film because you want it to be as a good as the series - dont do that. if you enjoyed the series you'll enjoy this film as well ♡

i feel like the outliar...

i decided to watch this series after seeing it some many times in people's lists of best bl in 2022. and i was pretty disappointed to be honest.

PRODUCTION:
everything look and sounded nice. i actually do wanna applaud the costuming for this series i loved all the outfits of the characters. the action scenes were also a lot of fun to watch it makes me wish we had more.

STORY:
was... all over the place. character motivations seemed to change on a dime and one second its serious drama and the next it sex jokes. i really was about to drop this series because i was midway through and had no idea why i was still watching. also. sexual assault is not hot why are we still doing this in 2022??? also the ending just seemed to throw everything out the window.

CHARACTERS:
porshe and kinn are really the saving grace and the only reason i finished this series. porshe especially was the only character i liked in the beginning. it wasnt till episodes 6&7 where i actually started to enjoy the series (which - since this is a 13 episode show is like midway through). for a show called "kinnporshe" i dont really feel like they took up the space they needed despite being the best out of the couples. and despite that it was still hard for me to get on board due to episode 4!!!!!! again - why are we doing shit like this is 2022. also i do have to say porshe gets flanderized a bit towards the end. i really dont understand his actions and miscommunication troupe always sucks cant people ever come up with anything else to create conflict?

unpopular opinion but i dont like vegaspete. i DID like them. in the BEGINNING before FUCKIN SHIT HIT THE FAN. the fact that so many people like this relationship is not helping me see the good in the world. this is probably the most toxic relationship i have ever seen in a bl. im glad their series is probs being canceled now we do not need more of them.

kim and porchay were absolute messes. they had potential for sure but porchay himself kinda ruins it with how annoying he is and suddenly kim doing a 180 on how he feels about him. like i get the idea and im not sure this is an acting issue or a writing issue or both??

honestly i wouldve liked one of the couples to be kinn's friends instead they were a lot more interesting.

CONCLUSION:
i know im being really negative - there was quite a bit that i liked but i feel like soooo much holds the series back. but idk i really only see people praise this show. and i really just dont get it.

THE GASP OF RELIEF

i was about 5 episodes in before i decided to go back and watch UWMA before continuing on. if you are wondering if you should/need to watch UWMA to watch this... not really. you'll be a little confused about pharm&dean and there are some missing scenes but i honestly think you can enjoy this series without needing to watch UWMA.

PRODUCTION
is a lot better than UWMA (i mean it has been 3 years so i hope so) and even better from the specials. everything looked really nice and sounded okay. i really enjoyed the set design? idk i just appericated it more here. the music was better but everytime they did play a song that was used in UWMA i had war flashbacks...

WRITING / STORY:
i really enjoyed the story - sure it kinda dragged towards the end and there was def too many side couples but i had a fun time. i felt like there was a good balance of the fun/happy times and the sad/emotional. the pay off was also done really well. i know they did their best to incorporate to the established timeline of UWMA but really it kinda made it more confusing. plus the fact that some scenes werent adapted so they sometimes just leave things out of context which is annoying.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:

team (played by prem) is such a fun character - he was more upbeat in UWMA but im glad they gave him some depth. im not really a big fan when they make characters "stupid" but i was moreso endeared by him. perm's emotional acting skills were amazing esp later on. i esp loved seeing his character at the end.

win (played by boum) was SO good. i loved his arc very VERY much. although boum in the emotional side didnt always get it right but he plays the playful nature very well. win is def my favorite character for sure.

there was a reason this series was hyped up for so long. boum and prem work really well together (tho i feel like the intimate scenes they had were done better in UWMA). win and team are messy and complicated but you love to see it. they are cute and you want to see them happy. im glad we are gonna get (at least) one more boumprem series.

there was a grand total of FOUR side couples. which was just way too many - most bl can hardly get ONE side couple to work. but here are my quick thoughts -

dean/pharm even though i had just finished UWMA i kinda... missed them?? idk maybe it was because their scenes were so few but i felt like ohm (dean) was a lot more sentimental and believable. but i liked them in their own series and i liked them here.

manaow/pruek were okay. towards the end i was just kinda bored. i know they are meant to bring some comedic relief but at sometimes i just wanted to get back to where we were. i dont really have any strong feelings for them. i also enjoyed manaow a lot more in UWMA than here which is sad.

tul/wan i just... couldnt. maybe if they were the only couple but they introduced them then forgot about them but then suddenly brought them back and focused on them for a long time... i just couldnt get attached.

bee/prince the only couple i really had fun with. i thought they were cute. i wouldve liked them more if they werent sharing the spotlight with so many people but the stuff we got was cute and lighthearted.

i wish we had gotten more of team's friends in general. if they wanted side story rather than just couples i wouldve had fun seeing a, bee, and sea get into wacky adventures.

OVERALL:
i did enjoy this more than UWMA but i am glad i did watch it in general. like i said i dont think you need to watch it to watch this but i was happy to see that the story is completely finished now. out of the more emotional bls this one is probably one my favorites now.

one part is clearly better than the other..

now i do wanna say that this is an improvement on MAME's other work DSN. but you definitely still feel a lot of similiar troupes in her writing play out so be warned.

PRODUCTION:
i really liked the cinematography - i also am really glad they cut the episodes to 45 minutes unlike DSN where they were an hour. i did have an issue with the music and sound quality in general. its clear that they didnt have the money to do a lot of ADR and sometimes the noise from the envoirment they are in just cuts in and out when they speak and its really distracting. (a good example is the scene where phayu shows up in the motorcycle outfit) i also just wasnt a fan of any of the music expect for the song that phayu sings to rain...

STORY:

(PART1) i loved the progression - i liked how it was sorta simple and sweet. i know there are some issues in the beginning with phayu and rain's relationship that would not apply irl but in the end i really loved the first 7 episodes. and i have already rewatched it and i plan to do so again in the future.

(PART2) maybe its because i liked part 1 so much that i just wanted to go back to phayu and rain. there are much more problematic elements in the 2nd part that i cant really get past esp in the beginning. the stuff in episode 13 is truly awful to watch and i really wish there was some kind of content warning for that. i feel lIke MAME's flaws as a writer came out a lot more in this part. the miscommunication is not cute, the brushing over truama was not cute. very similiar problems in DSN. i do think they are a little better in some ways but definitely not when it comes to how they handled sky's mental health.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:

rain (noeul) is such a loveable dork. i do think in part 2 and in the special episode he get flanderized a bit. i think he works better as a main character than a side character more adorable than annoying. noeul's acting is hit/miss - but i think for the parts that were important he did a good job esp his scenes with phayu. i feel like he could be a little more expressive though.

phayu (boss) was my favorite - idk how MAME rights these mellow-intimidating-but-sweet characters so well. all he wants is the best for rain - he is a very mature character and leads the relationship well. yes despite his bad choice in the beginning he ends up really being so sweet. i think a lot of it is thanks to boss' brilliant acting i really want to see him in more stuff in the future.

the two of them together is what makes part 1 so brillant. the chemistry is amazing and the intimacy just feels so natural. from their first meeting on screen i felt the connection and despite the flaws i think in the end they are one of my favorite bl couples. i know there isnt any confirmation on a season 2 but i would watch it for them because them navigating their relationship is my favorite and the soecual episode was not enough.

sky (peat) i definitely was shocked when he became the main character for part 2. i didnt super understand his motivations and it did take awhile for me to like sky. i feel like using his truama to make us feel bad was a bit iffy. i already liked his straight blunt attitude in part 1 but in part 2 he comes off a bit like an asshole sometimes. peat's acting is a little stiff but i feel like he got a good handle on it towards the end.

prapai (fort) is definitely my least favorite personality-wise. he is basically a leon (DSN) clone tbh. i never feel like the "playboy-turned-soft-by-certain-somone" is done interesting anymore and this is the 2nd time ive seen MAME do it and its the exact same way - there is literally no character progression - prapai cant stop thinking about sky and just suddenly is all over for him. i do wanna say fort kills it for the emotional scenes - his gentle crying broke me. and thats when i actually started to like him.

the two of them together are okay - i just feel in comparison to phayu and sky is almost unfair. maybe its because it actually takes so long for them to actually like each other but the passion just does not end up reaching the same level. but i do like their dynamic in the end and its a nice contrast in comparison to rain and phayu but i clearly like one more than the other.

OVERALL:
if these were 2 separate series i think it wouldve worked better because honestly they kinda feel super detached from each other. and the fact that phayu and rain's story fit so well together when it ends and you get to the kinda messy bits of sky and prapai i just miss them. but i wouldnt mind a season 2 if they did it the same way but preferably they should just break them into different series.

if only there was MORE

PRODUCTION:
was STELLAR. i loved how everything looked, how everything was shot, how everything sounded. a couple of odd camera angels here and there were off. but this one of my favorite music in bls - the ost is something i have had on repeat and i love it. i kinda wish there was a movie version so i could use that to rewatch rather than the whole series tho...

STORY:
is it kinda bare? a little. i wish we had ONE more episode because the pacing kinda goes a little too fast at the end. and the timeline can be a little messy. it seems like they were together for maybe a day when they had their conflict with jae yoon ignoring ho joon - but then we get a flashback scene where they are super domestic? its a little confusing. if they had just one more episode to establish the relationship i would've appreciated it. but the dialogue is beautiful especially in the makeup scene that was so poetic omg.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:

jae yoon (yoon seobin) was such a joy - compared to his role on kissable lips he has so much more to work with. he was funny and delightful - but he still had this innocence around him that was very cute. his drunk scenes were my favorite and i love his snarkiness and how he was eventually able to stick up for himself. he was absolutely my favorite.

ho joon (kim jiwoong) was stellar as well. this rich boy role was so fun for him. and i cried when he cried 😢 - his character progression was so wonderful i enjoyed every second. plus - again the makeup scene was so great.

if you thought like i did that the only thing even remotely good about kissable lips was the chemistry between seobin and jiwoong then this series turns that up by 11. the enemies->lovers was so much fun and im usually not the biggest fan of those storylines. the domestically with them is so sweet and adorable. they were like high school sweethearts almost. and the ending scene??? oof omg why did they cut out most of that?? they were just amazing together on and off screen they have wonderful chemistry. i want them to work together again in the future SO badly. they are one of my favorite duos for sure.

overall i love this series - i had a few pacing issues but im for sure going to be picking up this series again. and consider if you like kim jiwoong to support him on boys planet!!

my now comfort bl...

PRODUCTION:
everything was shot great and everything sounded good. however i sometimes had a hard time telling if a scene was a flashback or not - even on rewatch. i wish there wouldve been a better way for them to show that. the music didn't really stick out to me which is why i gave it an average score.

STORY:
simple but darling. i can understand why people would be disappointed but i am very much a sucker for established relationships / early relationship stories. and although the subvertions are subtle from generic stories i liked them a lot. i only wish there was MORE story so that says something.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:
amagi (nao oriyama) is a cute character - the most sunshine-y character i have ever seen. his actions and behavior never tipped the scale of being annoying to me and i think that is thanks to the wonderful acting job. sure amagi makes mistakes in the series but he's a high schooler! and he learns and grows thanks to them - i wish we could have more time to actually see amagi open up more but oh well...

takara (arata sato) is what really sold me - truly such a subversion from the popular boy troupe. im so glad that we do get his prespective because honestly i do feel like the series would be boring without it. i truly related to takara... i again wish there was more time to see him grow but ehat can ya do :/

together they make such a sweet couple - they are awkward but not in a way thats out of character. moreso that this is their first relationship. i truly appericated that the struggles they were having werent so catastrophic and they were able pretty much resolve each one by the end of the episode. they are so innocent too - makes me jealous of the high school relationship i never got to have. and again - their subversion is subtle but its a huge welcome for me.

the side characters were alright but the standout was definitely katori (suzuki kosuke). he was very funny and it was good for them to invent a way for the characters to talk about their relationship to SOMEONE. i didnt really care for tanaka (komiya rio) like he was fine and well acted. but i didnt really get why he got as much focus as he did other than giving a little more background to taraka's charactee ig?

OVERALL:
anytime i want a simple bl to watch i will definitely pick this one back up again. im not sure if a season 2 is possible but i would love it if it were to be done. i feel like i could watch these two idiots navigate their relationship for ages haha. but for now this will do.

started and ended pretty bad but everything in the middle...

i'm pretty new to bl and this was my first thai drama. i had no idea this was a sequel to a different series until i read some of the reviews - but i honestly didnt ever feel too lost without it.

PRODUCTION:
there is a lot you have to get used to - i felt like some scenes/shots carried on for too long trying to really make the hour mark for every episode. i feel like you could easily cut it into 45 minutes. this definitely hinders the rewatch ablity for me.

also the audio quality definitely shifts around a lot and sometimes you can tell how limited the soundtrack is. sometimes one second a light hearted song is playing then all the sudden it shifts to a sad one and then goes back and forth throughout the whole scene and it can be distracting. also the overuse of sound effects while they were endearing at sometimes just needed to toned down a bit. but the cinematography sometimes was really beautiful.

STORY/WRITING:
the story started off kinda slow - but after the first two episodes you get kinda used to the editing and you understand more of whats going on. this part is probably where the knowledge of the prequel series would've come in handy for sure. because there are sometimes references to things they dont explain very well... and i was seriously confused how the 2nd episode just starts with them moving in together the cut from the 1st to the 2nd episode just really threw me off.

however once you get pass that i found the story arcs really delightful. i'm a sucker for established relationships and fiat and leo figuring out their relationship was such a nice thing to see - also just the outright acceptence from everyone around them (for the most part - but that doesn't come from a homophobic lense).

like i said earlier - i did understand the context without seeing the prequel. and i felt like they explained the past really well. and how their past affects their actions now. it was very calculated and didnt even use flashbacks that much which i appericated.

when it comes to the ending the miscommunication troupe is not done well. they try to subvert it a little but in the end i felt like they wanted fiat and leo to have this big struggle at the end with their relationship - and to come out stronger in the end. i feel like they could've done it in a better way than this. also i did feel pretty uncomfortable with their makeup speech maybe it was a translation issue and i can see what they were trying to say with leo's issues and fiat's trauma but the way it went about it felt a little toxic when up till this point they were anything but that.

thats why i say the beginning and end were a little rough but everythinng in the middle is really great.

CHARACTERS / ACTING:
i was mixed about fiat's (chalongrat novsamrong) performance in the beginning - and in some minor parts - but overall for playing a really emotionally driven character i think he did really well. i think i am not used to crying being so authentic in tv so it kinda threw me off. i also really related to fiat in ways with mental health and self worth. i know that some people have some issues about the way mental health was handled in this series but i really felt like it was done well in terms of fiat's character and growth.

leo (phachara suansri) was probably the best actor in the series. for a melo character i didnt feel like he wasnt ever emotionless and you could really tell how sincere he was. i honestly kinda wish he had more development then he did but overall i think the stuff we got with him struggling to take care of fiat and dealing with their past.

the two of them together was honestly the best part of the series. their chemistry was truly amazing even in just casual intimacy it all felt so natural. the way just even that leo would look at fiat spoke a ton - i think since it is a buildup and the two have already worked together on the prequel. they really understood their characters and their relationship. their relationship and commitment made this series work.

the side couple leon (smart chisanupong paungmanee) and pob (james pongsapak rachaporn) were good too. however... smart's acting definitely needed some work. i heard someone say something to the effect of "he acts with his jaw" and i think thats pretty much what it was. i feel like he was fine on his own but whenever leon was with other characters i felt like you could really see the difference. esp since james' acting in comparison was really well done. while leon's shift in character kinda came out of nowhere pob's felt more grounded. but the ending just came out of nowhere - it felt kinda out of place.

the rest of the cast was funny and charming with varying levels of acting. i esp liked the wlw couple as minor as they were and the twins. the actress who did fiat's mom was really good (i cant find her name).

overall i really enjoyed this series - i feel like because of the amount of time you spend with the characters (12 hours) compared to over bl you really get an attachment to the characters and their stories. i plan to find more work from a lot of these actors but i dont think ill be picking up the prequel series - not that i dont think it'll be bad i just dont think i need to. and itll be pretty hard for me to watch leo and fiat not be together haha.
