Surely this isn't a movie for just anyone, but I have to admit it had some really messed up (and also interesting/disgusting/disturbing to watch) scenes, which were really memorable and will undoubtedly leave a trace in your mind. Sure the effects don't seem that realistic in today but I think they are creative and well made for their time. This is a great movie if you get in that weird mood where you want to watch one of those strange Japanese horror/gore movies.
