From the end of episode 8 up until the majority of parts in Ep 10, I cannot, for the life of me, appreciate how Se Na became the focus of these parts. Ok, fine I know she is still pretty much part of the Prince's equation for the Joseon mystery but so far where has it taken us?
One glaring clue that our Prince and the trio is missing: if Lee Gak really needed to be with his Princess, why land at a lotus flower's rooftop in the first place??
Thank goodness Bak Ha still has the trio to get her by this episode or else, this would have been like Ep 9 where that capital B is running all over the place! The fish-out-of-the-water is losing its charm now and they better step up their mystery-solving skills now that we've reached half-time in our story.
Furthermore, now that Bak Ha's feelings are out in the open, where do we stand now?

Se Na, the Evil Unnie, pushed Park Ha into a situation that will put her developing relationships with the Joseon boys to a stop.
The Prince's trio try to help but they have, as we can see, a long way to go before they can fully adapt to everything else.
Episode 4 sets the mood up for a spark between Lee Gak and Park Ha, but Lee Gak is still in transition. At the end, he uses his predicament to assume his 'reincarnation.'

I don't think I can predict what's going to happen next but what is clear is that I'm enjoying how they present the world to those Joseon men. How they are going to tie those lose ends is a mystery still worth uncovering. Taking a step closer. :)

After all the hesitation from the previous episodes so far, I think forming the resolve like he did at the end was right on track. He is debunking his dad's mantra that "everything is transient so you must not waste your time on them".
What I couldn't handle was the stupidity that Hae Young did on the radio program. The story could do without it. We already get that she was bullied then and still getting bullied now. But this, she pinned herself further down.
Do Kyung has to redeem himself after this mess. The effort has to come from him now because he has to show that it is "not a waste of time".

The shock of the discovery of his identity left Myongnong in the wake of different conflicting emotions. But out of the overwhelming and justly bitter emotions, he overcame and thought objectively throughout. He finally understood that despite of all his success to prove himself to the king, that even though he was praised and the king felt proud of him, the king somehow kept a distance. Now, he knew that his subtle jealousy of how the king would fuss about Jinmu-gung was justified.

Ah but at the end of it all, the King is pleased to have raised such a fine son and boasted the Prince to the portrait of the late king. More than that, he tells the portrait that Myongnong being his son ends there. And like the case that the court handled several episodes back, the king claimed him as his own: 'I have two sons. But only one will wear the crown.'

The son, spouting words of hate and bitterness, that he sounded so hurt, that I--tried as I might to tell myself not to--broke down at the terrible words that no parent should ever wish to hear. From outrage to physical violence to despair and remorse, I even thought the King became the more pitiful of the two.
What now, Pyeha?

Never ever blurt out your secrets to a person if you can't see who she is or hear her voice first. Chances are, she is the wrong daughter.
When you talk about your precious secret, never assume that they will fall on deaf ears. If the big man at your side appears that way, why would he turn to where the noise of the game came from?

On the other hand, Solnan posing as Su Baek Hyang without knowing who she really is and spending time with Peiha and Taeja Cheonha unaware of each other's secrets--this was too good. I can imagine the flashbacks now! ;)

I'm loving how the Fourth Lord reacts to Xue Wu and YWY's conversations. It's as if he's so full of himself, he'll burst at any minute. One smug dude.
Yu Wen Yong, dude, I know you're an emperor but you don't confess your feelings in front of her husband! *facepalm*

So it has finally come to this. How did Joon Gook did it? After 2 hours and 30 minutes, how will this end Soo Ha and Hye Seong's 11-year history?
Drama, you gave me a blank shot.

I'm finding Yoon Sang Hyun's character portrayal of Lawyer Cha very interesting. Idealistic yet conflicted, he stays safe within his comfort zone. I wonder if he'd ever come out of it. Bravo with harabuji's case!
Jung Woong In's Min Joong Gook is diabolical although I hope to find out a deeper reason why his anger drives him into madness. More or less the twist with Hye Seong's omoni, I think I half-expected that to happen the moment he stepped into the chicken store. The man's smile is enough to send your skin crawling! O_O
Do we get to see the noona-dongsaeng relationship blur between Hye Seong and Soo Ha??

For one, Zhang Xiao doesn't like to 'share a man with another woman' and she herself declared that if she loves a man, the man should love only her. So in other words she wants a monogamous relationship.
She is contradicting herself on many levels. And now that she's decided to step in, I'm curious how it affects history and politics.
