This is a pure 10/10 you fools!
Ignore any review which is below 10. This is an absolute masterpiece! It is the perfect show in terms of acting, plot, production value, script, music, romance, political drama, revenge and redemption, etc. Whatever you are looking for, this show will deliver! I cant rave enough about this drama. All leads are phenomenal. This drama does not rely on cliches, stupid leads, dumb decisions, pointless love triangles, draggy episodes, etc. Every single episode is beautifully edited and there is a purpose to every arc, whether it is focused on character progression, setting the stage, climax, etc. Dilraba, Leo, Zhao Lusi, etc. are all magnificent, the use of manhua scenes is so cool, and almost every character has a purpose and acts accordingly. I dont know what else to say - just watch this drama. Definitely in my Top 3 all time.Was this review helpful to you?
Great show with good story and romance
Yang Mi and Hawick Lau are excellent in this show. Worth a watch if you like them. Overall the story is good but it gets a bit extreme at times - families opposed to YM and HL getting together, jealous characters taking it too far, etc. The highlight of the drama is the romance between the leads and how they stay together depsite a lot of challenges. As a Yang Mi fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it! The business side of the show is also interesting. Side characters are well fleshed out and everyone's motive is very clear. Great drama. Yang Mi and Zitao acted very well and the supporting cast also did a good job. Good romance drama with interesting business theme. Characters have flaws and are very relatable. The pacing is also good and not very draggy.Some things are over the top and cringe-worthy (eg. when the actors speak some sentences in English), but hey that happens all the time in C-dramas.
Leads have good chemistry. If you are a Yang Mi fan, you will absolutely love it! Much better than Interpreter, with a happy ending. Just watch it and i guarantee you will enjoy it.
