a sweet story on the passion of a working man

Quick warning- don't watch this while you are hungry, or you might end up eating sandwiches or random items at 3 am like i did. Now, this is a show that is a delight to watch for those who appreciate food, like quirky shows, or just want to watch something refreshing.

Kantaro is a working man whose passion and driving force is sweets- something you don't see often in shows, especially since liking sweets is seen to be feminine. I, for one, liked this show because I found it funny and I love sweets as well. The way he enjoys sweets may seem extra at times but I must say I do understand and relate to it. The show itself is uplifting as well, as the sight of Kantoro enjoying his day due to the sweet makes me believe that I too can fix my day with a little treat!

If you aren't the slightest bit interested in food and its makings, I wouldn't suggest watching this- as a large part of the show is just Kantaro dissecting each aspect of a dish.

( sorry if this is poorly written, it was written after a night of no sleep)

when i say i was on HOOKED

Yes, my ratings don't add up. Let me explain why-

I loved the story so much that it really outshone my irritation for the female main lead and the very stupid decisions made by both main leads.

There was def. romance but it was not the main focus- it played a part in the story but not much screen time was spent on it, which was no problem for me.

The writers of this story really went above and beyond- the main characters being a bit stupid at times-especially the female lead Jesus- their overall characters were filled with secrets and stories I couldn't have predicted. They must've laced this story with crack cause when I tell you I could not stop thinking about it... whew!

I expected to feel more emotional about the characters, but I don't really like the lead actress so it made it a bit hard. The rest of the characters played their roles amazingly, sucking me the fuck in lmaoooo. As usual, I had second male lead syndrome but the main male lead also had a place in my heart!

Only issue I have with this besides the pure stupidity of the female lead is the fact that the ending was so rushed..... like the conclusion and wrapping up of the story occurred so quickly, and I feel like they could've devoted more time to it- it made me a bit confused.

Overall, even with everything I have complained about, this was a great watch. I usually tend to stay away from cop thrillers because they make me frustrated, but this frustration was great! I Def think you should watch it and you just get surprised by every episode!

it was obvious. all of it

Okay, I started this out understanding what it was about, thinking I'd get some love-hate action. But no. This show was so predictable. All of it. I usually try to stay away from " I went into the past to correct my actions" because it's mostly about the character undergoing self-reflection and realizing everything is their fault. I tried this out because I like how the main lead acts, but this was just plain out boring... I mean watch it if u want but whew. It's about redemption and all that, but I guess it wasn't for me!

The show was wonderful until the writers decided to make my blood boil

Whew chile. So this show was really enjoyable- the female lead is played by one of my fav actors and i loved how she portrayed Jojo. The story is your typical boss-worker love-hate relationship, which progresses. The second male lead was an old flame, yada yada yadda. It didn't drag much and It was funny to see the main leads interact. Everything was progressing smoothly until the last few episodes when hell broke loose. Now usually within the last few episodes the, main leads get together or the main and second male lead battle for her hand. Now that DID happen, but the writers just went batshit crazy. Almost everyone's characters changed a bit- Jojo became an indecisive mf when she used to be very outspoken and did what she needed to get what she wanted; the second male lead became emotionally manipulative and stalkerish; and the main male lead became nicer (which isn't terrible). With such little episodes left, the writers could've given a good ending with a few episodes of fluff, but instead they literally just caused a million things to happen at once. I literally got so stressed that I skipped to the middle of the last episode because I was tired of the foolery ?‍♀️

All in all, its a good watch if you can stomach some stress at the end! I live for love-hate troped so it fulfilled my needs in that sense but it was like I was going insane in the end ....
