It's so stupid it's fun, but I think the short run time was really a fault story-wise. They just sort of jumped right in with zero exposition and character building. But at the same time, the short run time also kind of saved it because I'm not sure if I could have enjoyed it as much if the episodes were longer. The fact it was only eight 22-minute episodes was really appealing and also the reason why my adhd butt was able to push through an otherwise okay story. The characters were cute, and I really liked their banter (which is one of my favorite things about the manga). There were also parts I found myself actually laughing out loud. Neither of the actors really match the characters in the manga unfortunately (imo), but that wasn't too big of a problem. The story felt unfinished, but that's kind of a given considering it's based off of a manga that is still ongoing (at the time of airing).
I recommend reading the manga after watching if you've never read it before. If you have, don't read it right before watching because you'll just end up comparing the two and there's no fun in that.
