surely, the one and only main actress was the center of this movie, and she nailed it. while watching her working and doing her thing, you'll understand why Woo Jin fall in love with her, and she's really beautiful either. woo jin character that i really like was Lee Beum Soo...he was the first Woo Jin who fall in love with Ji Soo, and the acting was believable for me. this movie was packed with handsome, brightly shining stars all over, from the moment park seo joon appearance its just getting glittery till the end but...whats hook me is some little actor who become Woo Jin (i dont know his name, its between Yoo Jae Sang or Pak Min Soo i guess) who getting drunk while eating with Ji Soo while dating, its funny but subtle, and warm.
there's not much music in this movie, but the music is somehow playing a big part in connecting the character (making Ji Soo remembering Woo Jin).
this movie was worth watching, and rewatching (because there was so many handsome people in it), its not confusing so you'll understand the plot right away. the morale of the story is exactly like the tittle, the beauty inside.
you know, in this era we're living, people (including us) tend to look another people from their outer appearance..how we should handle things when the person we love doesnt even have a steady appearance? will you still love them? will you stay with them? how will you handle your surrounding? what will you choose between your love one (with his weird issue) or your friends and family (and leaving your lover)? i think this movie capturing today issue really well, the message was deliver perfectly (for me) and the ending is beautiful too.
thank you for making such a amazing movie with beautiful morale story, at least it become a reminder for me.

main lead was good but nothing special. but...i like almost every interaction between support role (and their story).
the music is good, but i don't remember any of it...even after finishing all episode, i still humming some track from My Beauty Inside (its not that they're a lot better drama, they got their own flaws, its just about the track in it).
will i rewatch ? of course not...its sooo overrated. i've been hesitating to watch this because i'm not sure i'll love it but i decided to watch it because i'm curious since they got high rating and a lot of praise. it turn out to be one of the dramas that overrated for me. i'm not disappointed, but i'm not over pleased either, but i guess i'm expecting to much from this drama (because of the praise OMG)..no rewatch for me, to many dramas on my watchlist.

the plot was perfect, action and comedy combine from the 1st until the end...some other dramas tend to loose their comedy side halfway but this...i can stilll laugh even when things suppose to be serious. i hesitate to watch it at first because theres 20 series, 1 hour each, Oh My God....but...at the end i feel like why theres ONLY 20? i think the ending a little bit to rush but the storyline still strong and smooth though. they capture all the conflict (politics, dirty money, etc) really really well, i can feel the reality in it.
cast : all of them have a strong presence...my favorite is ahjumma of course, the rest still great. i really love ji chang wook who jumping around at night...even the supporting cast made a strong impression for the drama.
music : i dont usually give credits to music, yah because korean is like an alien words for me but...this drama made a very wise decision when they use Michael Learn To Rock "eternal love" as one of their soundtrack, because me, as a stranger to korean words, i can read English and i can feel the drama more when i understand the words in the song. this kind of dramas is worth watch worldwide, and one of their strong point is the soundtrack. and, the most important thing is they put the right song in the right scene.
i will watch this again at some point....but considering theres 20 series to watch...maybe later.
i hope this will encourage you all to watch this gem.

STORY
the story itself is promising, in some parts, for example about the AR game, and everything about the AR, but...there's a huge hole about how they ended the drama.
1. the drama has an open end, and...i don't really like open end drama
2. all the problem is solved, but...without proper explanation. they should explain it in detail, and cutting some reminiscent scene.
3. i really really love the AR part...fighting and the grand idea about it. the execution towards the end is depressing.
4. i really love hyun bin storyline, really hate park shin hye part.
ACTING
i agree with some other review with hyun bin amazing acting, but park shin hye make me depressed. as i watch this, i think :
1. maybe the drama will be better without Female Lead as i feel that her presence more like supporting female and sometime she just being a burden.
2. there's no spark and chemistry between FL and ML...mostly because FL i think. cause...when it comes to acted solo, the ML do his job perfectly.
3. i can blame the story for making the FL so depressing...but...on the screen, all she do is shock, look dumb, clueless, crying...maybe, just maybe...another actress can make the oh so frustrating female character better.
4. as i watch the FL, i remember seeing her in Pinocchio and the Heir, and i think her acting look exactly the same...maybe it's just my subjective opinion.
MUSIC
not much i remember, the memories of the alhambra play multiple time it feels like i can still hear it as i write this. LOL
but, adding music as a sign/reminder is a smart little detail.
REWATCH
me myself, have a lot of drama list to watch, so no...i really can't stand seeing FL in here. but maybe, just maybe i'll watch it again for the action and the AR, skipping the parts with FL.
i'm sorry, the FL just doesn't add any value in here. i think this dramas succeeded more because ML hard work and superb acting, story idea, amazing cinematography and CGI.
like i said, i even thinking this drama will still be amazing even without FL in it.

this great and loveable drama deserve some review.
i was hesitant to watch this, because there a lot of pretty boy and i though 'ah, this going to be boring and cliche'...but, i'm 110% wrong! i even watch it marathon even though its not weekend.
STORY :
its an original drama indeed, not usual story line, not just some love triangle and 'in your dream only' storyline. its really real, down to earth, i can imagine this kind of thing can really happen in real life. theres so many life lesson i get from this drama, mostly about friendship and loyalty, family, and of course love. the biggest lesson i learn that we need to stay true to yourself. each character and scene was connected, understandable, well build, very described very well. there is no slightest confusing moment.
ACTING :
ah...its hard to put this in words.
Lee Min Ki was my favorite out of the bunch, he's not even the prettiest of them but his character was so real, it glued to me even after i finish watching, though he's not present until the last episode, he is just supporting role, OMG, WHYY??!! supporting but important i guess. i still saving all the episode with him in it to rewatch it if i miss his character. Lee Min Ki portrayed Byung Hee very very well, his craziness, his free-spirited attitude and a leader charisma is all there in his eyes, in his gesture, in his every move, in every words he say, even the outfit he choose. i can understand why he became the leader and all of the other love him. I'm SOLD!!
Sung Joon did really great job portraying his newbie leader of the band. i can feel that hes really like Su Ah and never been in love before from his gesture whenever Su Ah in there.
Jo Bo Ah...so, this girl is really pretty, i can see why she become Byung Hee muse...this dark drama suddenly become brighter whenever shes on screen. shes brave and strong, a great female character
L's acting is kinda on and off in here, actually the scenario about his character is really well build (like the other) its just his acting is sometimes believable, sometimes not. but, his voice was soooo.....DAEBAK!!
Lee Hyun Jae acting is rather flat, for me he is the weakest actors in the drama, sadly, he and L was the prettiest from the band. but once again, the story was so strong and well build so his acting not even make me skip watching even for a second.
MUSIC :
Jaywalking, wake up...i dont really like it at first but this song is an ear-catching work of art...i love it after a few time.
Seung Hoon song (forget the name) was also an ear-catching song, and the voice of the singer is really fit the melody.
just watch this if you have time, it is a high quality story kind of drama so i can assure you that you're not wasting your time. it not just some cliche romance, its about life.

so...this is my opinion :
STORY : long...20 episodes is indeed very long journey for me, BUT...it worth my every minutes. it pack with a solid and worth watch storyline, every minute of it. flaw? i think i can't find a BIG flaws in it, and i'm in love with the comedy aspect in every scene (funnier than HEALER), even in a serious scene. a little bit comedy is important for me to keep me watching 20 episodes until FINISH. just like a general korean dramas, its a bit confusing at the beginning just watch it all the way until the end and you'll get the point. the story wasn't running in circle, not back and forth, but really really moving forward with a fast pace, so...i love it. this drama worth the rating.
CAST : good storyline but not so good interpretation (by the actors) is worthless...so, this great but complicated storyline was saved by Ji Sung. He really is an actor, he really is all his character in the drama (sorry, forget the name). even though there are 7 of Ji Sung, but all off them was different...yes they have the same face but the eyes in every one of them make me believe that they are different. The Eyes of Ji Sung. my favorite character is Yoo Na, so funny and girly with a muscular body and masculine face, and i love the romance (or should i call it bromance) between Yoo Na and Seo Joon. Hwang Jung Eum portraying of Oh Ri Jin can be irritating sometimes, and a little bit annoying but i think its an indication that her acting was believable, and she is really funny, i love her.
MUSIC : the intro was so familiar in my ears, i'm sure it was a song by STING but i dont know the name. when i google it, it is very similar to STING - SHAPE OF MY HEART. maybe a little bit copycat (sorry) but i think it what make the song give a great vibe to the drama. the intro maybe similar but the voice of the female singing part is the biggest poin in my ears, i'm drawn in it, i dont even know what she say, just like i dont understand Korean but how they incorporate the rap, the female voice and the intro was superb. so, the song itself was worth listening.
REWATCH : i will, Yoo Na part only because my favorite is when there's Yoo Na in it. its 20 episodes, its just impossible for me to watch it all over again when i have so many dramas and movies to watch, hahaha. but for those who have a lot of free time, this is one of the drama that worth for rewatch.

This review may contain spoilers
i rarely do a review...but, reading a few review in here, i think i need to do a positive review. i'll compare this to goblin (since both are supernatural) a Korean Odyssey (AKO) is 20 series long and i finish it in 5 working days, goblin is 16 series long and its been on hold for months. i like this more because the supernatural being in here is a lot more than goblin, and they act like they're not human...so its funny, and i think i like it more compare to supernatural being that act human. Timing (in my own opinion) also playing a huge part since Goblin was the first one coming with these genre (with extravagant setting and CGI and all), and AKO is almost a year later....so yeah, its getting colder.story : About the story line...its well written, each character is well presented and yes...there's a boring moment (a few minute) but for a drama that contain 20 episode in it...its already really great. i want to keep watching it and finish it soon, its good enough for me if i have that kind of feeling. they can keep the pace steadily from the beginning, its more melodrama in the end but since the story is well connected, i dont feel bored. one thing i want to comment is when the monkey fight the dragon, its not good enough, from the CGI, how to conquer the dragon, and the story about the dragon itself. its a little bit on the 'meh' side.
acting : now this is hard...i don't like main actress, i think she isn't on par with Lee Seung Gi. the chemistry is there, but i feel it come from Seung Gi a lot more, since his acting is really good, really really good (if you think that's because Seung Gi is handsome, you know there's a lot more 'out of this world handsome' Korean actors out there). the monkey that's rude, never care about others, arrogant are presented really well from beginning until the end...i don't feel the same from the actress. she's pretty but her acting just look flat, pessimist, gloomy. when she say that she love him, i can't feel it in her eyes. and, she look older than Son Oh Gong, and the monkey is 1000++ years old, how come ? on the other hand, i really love zombie girl, man...she can act!! she's been given a lot of challenge in one drama, with a lot of different character, and she nailed it all. i like Ma Wang, but he can be a little overact sometime....but since it funny, i don't mind. the other character is well presented as well.
music : i like bumkey song and the others too. they always put the right song on the right scene. the song itself...keep on playing in my head.
rewatch : absolutely...for a few first episode when theres a lot more funny moment. im already begin to watch it.

Act: 2 main actors doing a very good job in acting, but somehow the chemistry between them wasn't good enough. So if I watched them individually, their act is impressive but they re lacking chemistry. Thats what I thought.
Music: actually, I didn't listen to it because I skipped a lot so....well...what can I say
The biggest failure in this drama is the storyline I guess.... I think there's to much going on, to many people involved in the plot and almost everything wasn't well executed. about the marriage for example. I think the scenario actually can be 2 up to 3 different drama. I found myself liking it at the beginning, since it sweet, but I'm getting confused and boring after around episode 3. The main idea about the story was brilliant, and I like it (the main idea about switching soul) but to many twist in between and a lot of it wasn't well executed..so..
Still..I'm able to finished it, but I don't want to watch this drama ever again.

i never really write a review, especially when the drama isn't good enough for me to review, but this time...i'm a little bit frustrated with this drama.
story : the premise was good, really good. the pace was okay, the whole story line was something new and happening in our society nowadays, especially in Asia (i'm Asian) with a lot of prejudice and gossiping about what to do, and what not. but...i still don't understand the background of some character they insert. i think some of it have a potential to be another whole story line, and some character is unnecessary because they just come and go. bottom line is : too many character involved, it looks busy.
acting/cast : this is where the drama go down hill, a lot : the leads
the lead actor, ugh...sure he's handsome as hell, and still looks good on screen even if he only stood there like a tree with beautiful eyes. sure sure....i'm not convinced and pleased with how he expressing things, or not expressing anything at all ? i don't know.
the lead actress is my main problem...she act like a robot, i don't like her laugh, it looks fake and her whole face was really stiff, omg....(only her eyebrow isn't) it frustrated me. sorry to say, but, her whole face look fake either...yes it suit the title, but still....omg....she's to stiff. every expression she make is unreal and unbelievable, not convincing.
i start to watch this drama after watching nam goong min and kim nam gil...so maybe half of it also my fault. the scale is to different.
on the other hand, i like jo woo ri. she look calm with something hidden inside her, she's really good compare to others.
i also like kwak dong yeon...he's expression is on point and believable, and sometimes funny. i think he and jo woo ri are really really good compare to the leads.
chemistry between lovers? what chemistry? i don't feel anything...at all...
i'm really frustrated about the cast since the main idea is good (in my opinion), there's a lot of possibility about the story, and there's a lot of beautiful people with superb expression in SK that have potential to be main lead.
AND...the score on MDL is above 8 ?? please? i consider that's good, but then i see this, hm.....
i should check other drama with Im Soo Hyang or Cha Eun Woo in it...i'm curious.
music was okay, fit in very well
no rewatch...i've got to many drama on my waiting list. even if i have time, i rather rewatch fiery priest or goblin or whatever else.

**Maybe containing SPOILERconsidering that this is OCN, i have a high hope that it would be great...like Gods Quiz and Vampire Prosecutor. But, apparently i'm hoping to much.
The story was a BIG let down...i have a very hard time watching episode 10-12. it was nice in the early episode and become worst and suddenly become melodrama from episode 10 maybe?
how can San still in love with someone who shoot him?its to cheesy, mellow and theres so many holes come up since San getting close to finding YuJin. i dont know why they choose Vampire Detective as the title because they didnt give a proper explanation about the 'vampire' thing through the end, another hole!
i Like all the main character here, i also like the female vampire (i think her name is Yoo Na?) but i hate Yu Jin character, it's not well develop and i dont know what is she thinking, its like she doesnt have her own standpoint...if she were dead in the end, why dont she die from the beginning anyway?why she keep calling San?her character is like a burden in this series. This character and the stories involving her was the biggest let down in this series.
Music, nothing much.
I dont want to watch this again, i rather rewatch Gods Quiz or Vampire Prosecutor.

it's good at the beginning and boring in the end...please just end it if it has to end. it will be better to make sequel like hana yori dango or itazura na kiss or liar game if you can maintain a good storyline. if not, just end it because adding a few more episode usually make whats good become boring, its a waste.
rainy yang is very beautiful, show luo act so funny...lee wai was HANDSOME, Oh My God...how can he love someone for 10 years?!! actually, i wanna see Lee Wai find his love one in this series ;(( with the way he treat rainy, if he find his own lover, i think it will be soooo sweet...hahaha
