Hi! I'm a 53 year old gay male from Canada. I'm new to the board and to the BL genre, in general. (I'm a veteran of LGBT+ themed film from all over the world for many years, though.) Enjoying the journey, so far! As a gay man, I'd love to see some of more mature presentations in the genre. 

I was first drawn in through Kiss: the series and enjoyed the PeteKao pairing. (Tay Tawan seems to be such a sweet and humble person!) I also really enjoyed TWM, TWMTNC, and Manner of Death. MaxTul have amazing chemistry! Tale of 1000 Stars is nothing short of the gift of a fairy tale romance (without being juvenile) to the LGBT+community.

Thanks to this site, I've also seen some other very moving tales like Grey Rainbow, Red Balloon, The Ambiguous Focus, The Effect, and Night Flight, to name a few...

I'm so pleased that LGBT+ representations have become so much more plentiful and I sincerely hope that they can be a source of affirmation and encouragement to young LGBT+ around the world who feel lonely, harassed, ostracised, and/or isolated. I know I would have benefited from them when I was in my teens.

To any younger LGBT+ people who feel marginalised and read this: You are valid. You deserve all the same chances at love and happiness as anyone else. You need never feel shame for who you are and how you feel. You can find community and belonging. No one can take away your worth. Look for the light in the dark and never give up on yourself.
