Does 5-12 romance actually works?
This drama is not the usual strong romance story but focusing mainly on the realistic world of a career woman in her mid thirties going through ups and downs in her career and how she progressed in the corporate ladder besides struggling on family pressure to settle down and get married. FL was not at all influenced by the pressure but by using her intelligence and perseverance in handling the office politics as well as her suitors, she managed to overcome all the obstacles tactfully.FL understands what she wants in her life be it on career or even life partner. Throughout the drama, she turned down two (or maybe three) mature and successful men whom may be dream guys for many women in real life but chosen a slow-pace romance development with a younger man of twelve years. Love their chemistry even though they have a big age gap. Although ML is young, he holds a very reliable, understanding and mature characters which are very likeable by the gorgeous and mature FL. The ML mom character is also a big praise, being so supportive and open-minded on her son's May-December romance.
Qin Lan had always nailed the right dramas; always with practical, realistic, meaningful, no nonsense scripts which are very relatable to present day society.

Fun to Watch
This drama is actually not bad, simple and fun to watch rom-com with lots of kissing scenes from a pair of lovey-dovey couple out of an arranged marriage (ML fall in love with FL even before the arrangement). The story evolves from a small town in Fuchun where FL was forced into marrying into a wealthy family by her stepmom with high dowry.ML is the wealthiest merchant in tea empire and is down to investigate the mystery of his father's death and accidentally met FL who lives a living by selling her homemade dessert. The dessert made by the FL is so mouth watering that it later gained recognition by the royal family.
Besides being wealthy and has good martial art skill, ML in the drama is so charm that he attracted many highly obsessive love rivals (3 nobles + 1 princess) trying to win his heart and keep the couple apart.
Believed that if the cast were by some famous ML & FL, the rating for this drama will definitely be somehow higher.

A Sad Ending is More Ideal
A heart patient with a mechanical heart sounds very advance to me and at a point i have a sudden thought whether it will really work someday in the future?A car accident ten years ago turned ML into a cold-hearted (like a lizard) person who always gets himself preparing for death as he understands that his mechanical heart will expired someday. He decided to live without love for the rest of his life until he met FL, who is a very optimistic girl who is very contrary to his character. FL claimed herself looks like a crow which is always deemed as bad luck until she met ML who turned away all the bad luck.
Nothing new on the story as when there's a point when ML give up on their relationship once he knows his hope to live like a normal person falls apart and his mechanical heart is near to lapse. This is always the part which I can't understand why whenever things like this happened, ML will forever keeps thing on his own and decided to end the relationship. ML will forever act cold as he no longer care or love the FL and make some stupid act to make the FL disappointed. The most heartache part in this drama is when FL misunderstand ML for signing the consent form to forgo their severely-ill adopted cat. The cat is a symbol of their love; the decision to forgo symbolized the end of his love to the FL.
In fact in the ending part for this drama, a sad ending is more ideal and realistic but this seems hardly seen in modern C-drama. Another thing to highlight on is where I understand that the ML is reluctant to have any kissing scene in any of his drama. This makes the kissing part of the love story looks stale, hope something can be improved on this.

Do You Believed in Reincarnation?
'The life is short like a dream, how often can one enjoy himself if it is not for my one and only love, Shi Yi who deserve my lifelong pursuit' - this is the poem handwritten by Zhou Shen Chen in his wedding invitation card to show his sincerity in marrying his beloved.The one who understands will truly enjoy the stories. I love every details they tried to incorporate into the story to link and portrait between the prequel and the sequel. Similarly to One & Only, FL love to ML is Love at First Sight. Contrary to FL, ML love and affection towards FL is developed, accumulated and gets stronger by days. FL first word in both the drama is also Zhou Shen Chen. She still loves turquoise blue, books, poems, pomegranate, lotus flower, sleeps on the floor to be with her beloved, enjoys touching the nose bridge of the ML like O&O.
Whatever can't be done and incomplete in O&O is finally completed in F&E. Their love, their marriage, the handwritten poem 'Shanglin Fu' on the wall.
I wonder if Mei Xing is the reincarnation of Liu Zi Xing (Crown Prince in O&O) as a repayment from his previous life. The suicidal and loss of Cui Shi Yi in O&O has made him realized and regretted his previous life?

A Drama You Would Come Back for More!
It is the kind of drama that you will be keen to watch by just watching the trailer itself. Initial episodes were more towards a comedy style, describing their happy childhood moment. It is until they start to stay apart, i couldn't control myself shedding tear for every single episode; it became so dramatic. But the best part of Cdrama is the ending always ends happily =)It was also a little surprise that besides the young adults ML and FL, the mid-aged daddies and mummies playing lead roles too, occupying quite a no of episodes. The OST for this drama is also worth a mention, not only a song but a few of them are pretty good and powerful to illustrate the feeling of the leads. Overall love the blend of the story of this family drama. Do not miss the chance watching this drama if you are a Cdrama lover, it is really worth a watch! Btw, the young ML, SWL is so charming; Ling Xiao role suits him well !
